The food in the cafe appears to be made entirely from ingredients you can get in the store which to me was very cool to see. I had a grilled cheese with tomatoes and peppers. It was delicious. The available menu however consisted of many other selections, but I wanted something relatively quick rather than a full meal. There were two guitarists playing banjo style music for our entertainment. This was a fun place to visit and I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone traveling along Highway 28 and needing a spot to rest for a bit and grab a bite. If I lived around here, I'd definitely come back.

I finally got to try sandwiches here that my workmates have been raving about, and I'm happy to…read morereport that the hype is real! - Apple turkey: this has really grown on me. At first I felt the gooey pink cranberry mayo was a bit funky, but in the presence of crisp Granny Smith apple slices and soft brie cheese, it makes sense. 4/5 - Chicken salad: one of the first things that stood out was the top-notch tomato slices that greeted me, and it got better from there. The chicken is a 'pulled' type although I can't tell how, but all the ingredients, including the multigrain bread, were just as they should be. 4.5/5 - Carrot chocolate chip cookies: these look and taste much like pumpkin chocolate chip cookies to me, which is to say that I like them. I wish they had a stronger carrot flavour, but I know that's a tall order. These are the doughy, soft type which I don't mind at all. 4/5 Parking is aplenty, staff are quick and friendly, and I love a good local family business. I hope they stay open and keeping serving the delicious for many more years.

We went on a Sunday with perfect autumn weather, so the place was understandably busy. Even with the crowd, there was plenty of seating, and although we waited around 25 minutes for our food, it was well worth it. We decided to try their 2 for 2 deal, which lets you pair half a sandwich with a side of soup. I had the smoked roast beef sandwich and taco chicken soup both were full of flavor, especially the soup, which had the perfect balance of hearty and spicy. My husband went with the chicken salad sandwich and a side of roasted vegetables soup which were fresh and well seasoned. Of course, we couldn't leave without grabbing a few of their baked goods two carrot cake cupcakes and one chocolate cupcake. All three were moist, rich, and absolutely delicious. From the fresh, high-quality ingredients to the cozy farm setting, everything about our visit was wonderful. A little wait time aside, it was a 10/10 experience and the perfect start to our day outdoors. We're already planning to come back!

As we're walking in and reading the list, calabrian chili peppers comes up. I say out loud, "there's no way this place has calabrian chili peppers." Seconds later a voice rings out, "come over to the next aisle." And sure enough, they have the peppers in both whole and sliced form. Surprise! It's an Italian market. We found just about everything we needed, and then some. Main Street has a full deli, where we bought prosciutto for homemade pizzas, that has a menu of sandwiches. They also have pastries, a meat and cheese section, and fresh meats. We scoped out some frozen seafood like scallops, salmon, and cod too. When you walk in, your first sight is a small produce section. The staff was so friendly. The disembodied voice belongs to the owner, Chris, who was happy to chat with us about food, our activities for the weekend, and our favorite restaurants back in Brooklyn. We ended up going a couple more times over the weekend for odds and ends. They really came through for us. Some items were a little pricey, but it was overall a good experience.
