Horrible place to go. Bartenders are terrible. Don't even think a waitress is going to come to your table, it won't happen

Love the $1 nights on wednesdays! The 40+ pool tables are so fun plus they are free! Just a very relaxed fun atmosphere.

We don't live anywhere near Fort Wayne. We're 2 1/2 hours away in Frankfort Illinois but we go…read morethere once in a great while to exchange grandkids with my son who lives in Hudson, Ohio a suburb of Cleveland so he picked this place Charlie's to meet us for a lunch repass and it was very good. They have a very short suite menu, but what I had was terrific I had a a salad with salmon on it and a lot of other veggies. It was terrific. The salmon was jerk, salmon, and the whole thing was a delicious repast. We had a appetizer of a couple bowls of their homemade chips. Unlike many places that don't salt them. These were salted just the right amount not too salty and I can't say anything bad about it. Our server was terrific and his name was Alex and the place is shaping up. I guess they just took it over from someplace else. The walls are a little bit bare needs a little more decoration and the ceiling is bare, but the chairs are very comfortable so it's an easy five star.

Charlie's Place - another place with a nice patio...and good to watch the game…read more I confess...the open and covered patios draw me right back to Charlie's place. If you want sun...sit out on the patio. If you want sunny shade and a breeze..sit under the outdoor cover/bar area or grab a table with an umbrella. You can't really go wrong here. Charlie's is also good for larger groups...and kids! Charlie's place is a large facility with lots of seating. The hosts are friendly. Making an on line reservation is easy. They always seem to have plenty of staff to serve and make you feel comfortable. Kudos to the team for developing a more attractive and welcoming lobby area! Sunday afternoon is brunch. They have a different menu than a normal lunch or dinner menu. Those menus are usually large and full of great choices. The brunch menu is much narrower and dominated by breakfast items. There are some non breakfast items...but not many. My wife had the breakfast tacos. She really liked the egg and bacon mixture. The sour cream and salsa sauces blended the tastes nicely. The Cobb salad was very fresh and tasty. There were lots of side ingredients such as egg, avocado, bacon, blue cheese, tomato and cucumber. The grilled chicken was plentiful and moist. Just enough grilled and seasoned taste to blend right in with the ingredients. The home made honey mustard dressing was consistent with what you would expect from honey mustard.

I have literally no complaints about this place. We went once this summer for a drink while on our…read moreway to pick someone up from the airport. Definitely curious to see what it was like, with all the negative publicity from "the incident". The bar and dining area were clean, the restrooms could maybe use a coat of paint and some refreshing, but were otherwise spotless. We were warmly greeted, welcomed in like regulars. Enjoyed an appetizer with our drinks, pretzel sticks with cheese, which were served hot and fresh. Before leaving, one of the regulars invited us to come back the following week for a hog roast, and we went! We didn't realize until arriving that day, that the hog roast was a memorial after a funeral. We felt a little like we were intruding, but none of the other patrons made us feel that way. At the hog roast, we encountered a very diverse group of people, varying ethnicities, varying income brackets, all enjoying the bar with each other. Recently, we popped in for lunch, and were blown away by the portion sizes and the quality. I had the "garbage pizza" as a sausage roll, and it was enormous! Delicious, heavily loaded with toppings, served hot and fresh. My husband had a grilled buffalo chicken grinder, which was also much bigger than anticipated. Fresh and crunchy veggies topped the grilled chicken in the sandwich. Both meals left plenty for leftovers, or would have been perfect to split for a meal for two. We definitely plan to visit again soon for another meal. Overall, this dive bar is so much more than the negative publicity it received due to an isolated incident. If we lived closer, it would definitely be our regular spot.

Ok local dive bar... Stopped by PP for lunch on a recommendation from a friend; were told they have…read morebest wings in FW. PP was alright... Decent food (the wings are smoked and were very average; nothing to write home about), decent service, and typical local dive bar atmosphere. The biggest drawback here was the bar allowed smoking... While it didn't smell like an ashtray (surprisingly), all the old locals were smoking which is annoying and not appealing when you're eating (Note: Based on the sign above the bar, I don't think they care what you think lol). All-in-all, not bad, but not great... If you like an ole country no-frills dive bar, check out PP.
