Absolutely amazing bread making class. Every Sunday the owner Serge teaches classes on bread making from 12-4. My sister and I had an incredible experience and met some really great people. I have been a customer of this location and been obsessed with the apple pie bread. Oh my goodness, not only did we make bread, but sampled every bread there, cinnamon rolls, had butter, oil, spices, meat, wine cannot say enough about how fun our day was. Totally hooked now on strawberry mini breads, maple pecan granola and blueberry pie bread, English muffin bread and most surprising peasant bread. You'll find a wide selection of artisan breads (sourdough, brioche buns, French bread, and more), plus sweets and specialty items like cinnamon buns, pizza dough, and muffins - all made from simple, fresh ingredients. We used to go there weekly, but under new ownership we saw worse customer service and now a drop-off in quality...we dialed it back to 1x per month over time, and now we're done with this place. Will find somewhere better to spend $10 on a loaf of artisanal bread. read more

Better off at Publix. Spent the extra money to treat myself and ended up extremely disappointed. Very nice idea very bad execution.

The place is nice and quaint, and breads are good - not quite amazing, but better than what you would find at a publix.

For the last 4-5 weeks I have been a regular at Breadsmith! After having bread in Europe, I realized American bread is awful because of the additives and preservatives... this places uses minimal ingredients. The results are noticeable! read more

Ever been to jail? Stale bread and water would have been better! I bought a few cranberry or blueberry scones..(couldn't tell what they were). Chewing on tree bark would have been tastier and fresher. Whoever is managing this place needs to research what a scone is...it's certainly not what you're trying to pass off. Scones should NOT be round and as dry (or stale) as what you are trying to pass off for two dollars each. Disgusting.......never coming back! read more

A nice new addition for Bradenton. Picked up a couple of large cinnamon rolls and a French bagette this morning. Cinnamon rolls were better once warmed in the microwave for 20 seconds, they are very tasty but a bit in the heavy side. At a guess they use a whole wheat flour. Bagette had a lovely crunch on the outside and the right level of fluffiness on the inside. Also got a cup of coffee to go. Was good but felt pricey ($2.00) for a small cup of coffee. This place has had THE BEST service ive ever encountered while eating out, the service was amazing and the two employees i interacted with were insanely kind and helpful, the coffee cakes and rolls, and cinnamon rolls i bought were astounding and the first thing you are greeted with at the front are a wide variety of different well baked cakes, will eat here again. So sad to report I placed a "special Holiday" order over a week prior to the cutoff based on the available dates on the holiday flyer Breadsmith provided. I went to pick up the order the morning of the event we were attending (bringing the special Christmas holiday bread) and they said not many people selected the Sunday pick up date so they decided to move our order to the Tuesday pick up. NO call to let us know, Nothing! After driving over 45 minutes to pick our order up, all they could say was it would be available on Tuesday?$&@". Like how is that ok. Why do they even bother to have customers fill out an order form with contact info and never let the customer know it would not be ready on the date/time selected?$&@. What a scam, then they tried to sell us what they had in the store. read more

Ok... Yes it is pricey.... BUT.... I feel that it is worth it.. !!!! bought 2 loaves of the Italian Bread.... has a nice body ... and love the crusty crust.... so delicious toasted.... Everything so yummy. Chocolate chip cherry scone is to die for as is the wild blueberry streusel muffin.

I went here yesterday for the first time. The gentleman that waited on me was friendly and told me all about their rewards program. I purchased 4 little fruit cakes and 3 blueberry scones. The scones were great and full of blueberries and the cakes I purchased were given as a gift to a friend's house I went to for dinner and they impressed my hosts.. I highly recommend going into the store and looking at all the different breads and sweets they have. They carry bagels also. read more

I've purchased bakery items from Breadsmith three times and have been disappointed each time. The scones were okay, but kind of dry (tasted day-old) and the pina colada one, while it sounded like it would be amazing, was underwhelming. There was some coconut on top, but no pineapple flavor whatsoever. I tried a blueberry crumble bar, which looked incredible, but again, was nothing to write home about. The blueberry filling was like a gel and had a faint taste of toothpaste to it, rather than blueberries. Nothing about it was sweet in any way. I made the mistake of ordering a double chocolate cookie because it looked like it would be delicious, and it was a huge disappointment - completely dry and hard as a rock. Couldn't even bite it and it had no chocolate flavor or smell at all. I have sampled their breads while I was in the store and those were pretty good, but all of the pastries and cookies I've tried have been simply awful. And with price tags from $3.50-$5.00, I will not be buying any more of those! read more

Delicious sourdough bread, amazing and friendly service, awesome rewards program. Can't wait to try everything on the menu.
