The flan cheesecakes are amazing. Brought them to work for thanksgiving and christmas and they were a hit. All the coworkers love them. The only negative feedback was that they didn't like the frosting. It's not covered in it though and it's easily taken off. The frosting was overbearing for me too but the actual flan cheesecake is delicious. I would recommend ordering in advance and picking up from the store. That's worked well for us! I went to Breadman to pick up my order like always - of course the day there is crazy rain and insane traffic and I'm barely making it back to work in time for the celebration - and they tell me my cake is not there. Turns out the baker had mixed the dates. At first, I was upset because I had no cake and no options to resolve the issue but once the manager arrived, he offered me some smaller cakes and a delicious pastry and disaster was averted. He apologized for the mishap and saved the day by giving us cakes for the birthday. I know this was just a freak mishap and their cakes and pastries are delicious so definitely still recommend them - just maybe confirm platter orders before picking them up, which I'll be doing in the future. read more

Had to drop off a U-Haul truck and the road was close to construction so decided to check this place out instead of the detour. Bought one of each pastries since everything looks so yummy. Wanted the fresh OJ but got the chocolate shake and Cuban coffee instead. Everything I tried is good so far. Ordered the steak sandwich and El Cubanito. Steak sandwich was ok but their bread was warm and soft. My favorite is El Cubanito. It is like a Cuban hamburger with soft grilled bread . and pickles. Their coffee is on point - look at my pictures. I like the Ropa Vieja Empanadas better than the meat one. I got a few Nutella pastries and a coconut one that I will eat later bc my belly is saying no Mas! Next time I come, I will try a bigger sandwich like the Super Meng. Hialeah is the eternal abyss of Cuban euphemisms coated with Abuela and Abuelos dichos pero don't think that's where the fun stops. Tell abuela that their Cuban bread is baked with chicharrón throughout the dough and crust and I bet you she'll like ...como?!? The location is a bit smaller than their Westchester location but it was the first on the map so you gotta give it props. The Pastelito de Carne+Maduro always gets me. One of my new favorite bakeries in Miami. I thought this place would be all hype. Something similar to Vicky bakery; how they have multiple locations but are unfortunately lacking in quality and taste. Boy, was I wrong. The pastries, baked goods and sandwiches here are excellent. They undoubtedly have the best cheese tequeños my mom and I have ever had. You need to get at least four of them at once because anything less than that is not enough. I love that they have unique items like the Nutella tequeños and Nutella cheesecake (both delectable). The sandwiches? Fiiiiiire. Definitely recommend the Rakata and El Guajiro. If you are looking for a great, traditional Cuban bakery with a twist, this is the place for you. I went here for breakfast with family today and for a Saturday morning it was packed, but there was plenty of movement. The ladies behind the counter were super nice and did not get flustered with our huge order. I ordered 2 ham croquetas (croquetas de la casa - "homemade croquettes"), the infamous Super Meng, a colada and natural OJ. My sister and brother-in-law ordered 2 ham croquetas, 1 tequeño, a croqueta preparada, ham and cheese croissant, Natural OJ, 2 large cafe con leches (see what I mean about our large order lol). The wait was not long at all. We found a table and had our food served within 10 minutes. The super meng had "wow" written in ketchup on the plate, the Rico Suave had "omg." Which I thought was adorable. Imagine that my sandwich was so appealing that a lady caught me eating it in the window and stopped in her tracks to admire it, I know she was thinking "Ñoooo." Had to take the other half of the sandwiches to go - but they were awesome! The steak in the Super Meng tasted like it was marinating in mojo. Tried a piece of my sister's croissant and it was also delicious. Overall, this place was awesome. I would have given 5 stars but the space was little uncomfortable to sit and eat. My aunt introduced me to this place a while back. I remember going to visit her several times at home and noticed the beautiuful pink Breadman Miami logo on a giant box of pastries. And the pastries....my goodness! I have been eating pastelitos since I was practically born and these are pretty good!! My favorites are the carne and maduro pastelito (beef and sweet plantain) is delish! The crust of the pastry is light and flaky and the sweet plaintain mixed in adds the perfect balance to the lightly salted beef. Also a huge fan of their empanadas and croquetas. I did try the nutella pastry once and was pretty disappointed with how little nutella was inside. Could barely taste it. Today was the first time I went to the bakery myself and was pretty shocked at how small it is. It's in the The ladies there were super nice and very attentive. There was no line at all so we were able to take our time browsing the selection of desserts before we places our order. We left with a small chocolate cake, vanilla eclair and quatro leche. They packed up our dessert to go in the beautiful little brown boxes. The quatro leche was fresh with lots and lots of dulce de leche just like I like it! Vanilla eclair was excellent. The custard filling was so good and I am not usually a fan of them. I didn't like the chocolate cake at all. Way too sweet but my boyfriend enjoyed it very much. Price wise...average. Five stars for great service, great products and fair prices. I've visited several times and it's always pretty busy but they always take care of you in a prompt manner. This isn't your average Hispanic bakery. While they do offer the staples we all love (i.e. Guava pastelitos, cheese pastelitos, cuban bread) they also offer some delicious, creative combos such as pastelitos de maduro y carne and chream cheese Nutella pastelitos! Their pressed sandwiches are huge, absolutely delicious and affordable! The menu offers a couple of salads, a variety of drinks and plenty of individual desserts. They also offer cake and appetizer packages for parties for great parties and their cakes look far more appealing than the ones you typically see find at most cuban bakeries. They also offer imperial rice, pork shoulders and side dishes for parties. A few of my favorites are: -ham croquetas de la casa- these croquettes melt in your mouth. Never overly greasy which I genuinely appreciate. -pan de seda- freshly baked dough wrapped around 3 different kinds of cheese with herbs. It looks like a savory cinammon bun. If you like pan de bono, you'll LOVE this! - nutella and cream cheese pastelito- id just like to state that im NOT really a fan of sweets. I just dont see what the big deal about sweets are so for me to actually recommend something sweet, it has to be pretty awesome. The saltiness of the cream cheese, plus the decadence and sweetness of the nutella im between the crispy dough is absolutely heavenly! Guava, cream cheese & coconut pastelito- seriously, it's like three of the best pastries rolled into one. Heck yeah! Beef & plantain pastelito- basically picadillo and maduros for breakfast, im totally down with that. Chicharron Cuban Bread- chunks of pork rinds baked directly into the dough. Instantly escalates the intensity of any sandwich you might make with this by a trillion. Supermeng Sandwich: shredded, seasoned steak, american cheese, onions and fried eggs. The meat reminded me of a philly cheese steak. The sandwich is a little messy but it's so worth getting dirty for. Im pretty sure they use more than half the loaf of cuban bread for this and it's absolutely glorious. Definitely more than enough for two and only $8! It pains me to leave 3 Stars for the place. Let it be known that all of their goods are delicious and fresh. They also have unique twists on Cuban pastry classics. I don't live close by and I pass many famous bakeries in my way here and I still choose to come here. I've never been disappointed with anything I've ever had. However, I wish I could say the same about the service. The ladies working here with the exception of about two of them, are so incredibly slow, and have no interest in moving the line. I've gone many times and ordered a box of pastries and toast and instead of pressing the toast first, the attendant proceeds to speak amongst other atrendants, assemble the box, then very patiently fill it with the pastries, and finally press the toast. Shouldn't the toast be pressed first in order to get everything moving? I understand that it's packed on the weekends but I can't find any reason why it should take me 40 minutes to get a box of pastries and two toasts. Almost a half dozen employees in the front and they couldn't figure out how to handle the 3 customers inside. We love the Nutella and guava pastries, so flaky, buttery good- to die for. I also usually order an egg and cheese croissant and they grill it up to a melty goodness. First time trying the Oreo baked in a chocolate chip cookie (Caeta Oreo), super indulgent and was just right amount of soft. For a cuban bakery in Hialeah this place definitely deserves 5 stars! It's pretty legit. I wanted to try everything but I exercised self control & just got a "few" things. I tried the croquettes de la casa (which just means they make them in house), pastelitos of guava, nutella, & one with meat & plantains, tostada, & a cafe con leche. I want to start out this review by saying that we were visiting Miami for Christmas and decided to stop by since my cousin always raves about this place and they are good friends with Andy. The food was amazing. No argument there. We ordered the Breadman Croquetta Preparada, Rakata sandwich, Nutella cheesecake, 50 croquettas and 5 "house" croquettas and 2 coke zeros. We also bought a variety tray of pastellitos. The problem started when I noticed that the menu has no prices. I had to ask how much everything was. I don't like this because although I always like to think people are honest, they can charge you more especially if your not the typical customer. When I began to ask how much each individual item was, the lady at the register started to cop an attitude. She looked at us confused and as if she didn't have the time to tell us what we were paying for. At this point, I couldn't believe how we were being treated when we had no line behind us. The other worker from the pick up area came over and was a little more friendlier. We paid and sat down to wait for the food. Half way during our meal, a lady from the back comes out asking if we were missing anything and not in a nice way. Almost like what are you still doing here after we just spent about $60 at a quick service bakery. Although the food is amazing, they need to work on their customer service skills and at least have one person per shift that can actually speak fluent English as this is a Cuban-American new style bakery. Hands down the best pastelitos in Miami right now. Since I live pretty far I decided to try as much as possible in one shot. Here's what I tried: Pan Seda- A Pan De Bono on Crack! Lol no but seriously it's a cheesy very flavorful bread. Pastelito De Queso- my favorite kind and it was made to perfection.
