All told, he gives a quote to replace three sections, get the downspouts flowing away from the house, and clean/install leaf guards on all. Call in to put down a deposit but I can't get on the schedule for a few weeks. Fast forward to the day of. The crew leader shows me a drawing he was provided of the house and is basically asking me to confirm the work/spots he has. I have a good idea of it, but doesn't make me feel comfortable. In the end, he asks if they can come back tomorrow because they don't have the right ladder for the taller back of the house. I say fine. The next day, it's raining early (app't at 9). I assume they aren't coming right then but still had to call in to confirm - still coming but pushed back to 11. Jennifer also tells me they could have come back for the ladder and done the job yesterday but it wasn't presented to me as an option. 11 comes...11:30...12...after speaking to a backup phone person who was rude to me, I finally get ahold of Jennifer again. She's extremely apologetic for both the delay and the other person who answered the phone. Once the workers arrived, they got right down to it and did a really nice job. Adjusted one section I pointed out when walking around and came back the next morning to install a downspout extension they didn't have the previous day. What I was not happy with, aside from the communication between crew/hub/myself, was all the nails and brackets all over the property from the removal of the old sections. Jennifer was once again understanding and apologetic when I called to pay off the balance and even offered to send someone out for cleanup. I declined as I think I got it all...was moreso sharing feedback as it was some sloppy bs. In sum, I'm happy with the actual work that was performed so I think I'd call 3G for other projects to at least get a quote. There is room for improvement in some areas but the company was understanding and receptive to feedback.

Their price blew every other quote out of the water and they offered a better shingle and a better workmanship guarantee warranty (10yr). Much to my surprise they were at my house 2 days later installing my new roof on the house. They stripped two layers of shingle, replaced several bad decking boards I had. They do 6ft of ice and water shield. Code only requires 3ft. They made sure everything on the roof was wrapped up, secure and water tight. Then they started putting down the shingles. I mean these guys work like a well oiled machine together. This company does not subcontract out the work. The employees work for J & J. My roof on house and garage looks great, they did a good job of cleaning up. I'm super happy with this company and highly recommend them. My lesson in 2023 - lean more towards the locally owned mom and pop shops and not big box names.

He asked if she would be availble that night, we said yes any time between 5pm-9pm. At 7pm we got a message that he hadnt checked his phone and that he could stop by the day after. We set up another time frame where he would stop by, never showed... you get the point. All in all, we were no showed 3 times, and rescheduled several. Not sure if it was too good to be true. If he really had more emergencies pop up.
