I ordered a rustic hickory stick with the metal spike combo, totaling $151. I received my package quickly but when I opened the cardboard tube..it was empty, no stick! I called the phone number I found and there's a message saying to email them. I replied to the the order confirmation email like It says to do if I have any questions etc and it got sent back saying undeliverable. I found a messaging option on their website under contact us, sent two "emails" so far with zero reply. Apparently I will have to dispute this through my bank to get my money back. Very disappointing! They have a huge online presence and are even in retail stores locally. Wish I'd just bought locally, but there's a larger variety and more options through their online store, at least I'd have a walking stick though! read more

I had some good experiences in the past. In the last two mega packs I ordered, I received a bamboo stick. The product description clearly said I would get 10 hard wood sticks, and bamboo is not even wood, it is a grass. In the picture you can see the crack that goes almost the entire length of the stick. It took seven pieces of duct tape to keep it from splitting in half. When I called about the stick, I either spoke to a lady who knows nothing about wood or is a liar. It is very disappointing to deal with a church owned company where all the employees are members of the church and find out that they cannot tell the truth. It is sad that I had a great 10 year experience with them, but now I am forced to take my business elsewhere. My business is converting walking sticks into canes and giving them to veterans who cannot afford a cane. read more

I'd contemplated having a walking staff for many years but took no action. Then I moved back to the Southwest. I now find myself walking and hiking desert trails several times a week. Having a walking staff to carry along made natural sense to me. I did my first serious internet search and discovered Brazos Walking Sticks. Three things immediately caught my attention. First, the many wonderful reviews at their website. Second, they made free-form rustic walking sticks. And third, they work with Ironwood. I received my first walking stick in early May, a 55" Ironwood Free-Form. The craftsman had been Ethan Mulkey. His work was nothing short of impeccable. The character of the stick. The rustic free-form nature of it. It felt good holding it. It felt natural, as it should. It was surprisingly light at 55". And, its balance was amazing. I took it along on a couple of mid-day walks and it was perfect. Easy to handle. Easy to hold. And, it look fantastic. Then my wife and I went for a hike. She asked if she could try it out. The walking stick gave her great assistance with a bothersome knee. She fell in love with the stick. It's been hers ever since. I received my second walking stick a few days ago, a 58" Ironwood Free-Form. The craftsman this time was Dylan McMahan. Also, impeccable craftsmanship. I couldn't be more amazed or satisfied. This one was a little beefier at 58". That was expected. The feel, balance, and character are still perfect. I could not be more satisfied with the craftsmanship and quick response time of Brazos Walking Sticks. I admire that Brazos gives credit to their craftsmen via the tag on the sticks. It's a special pleasure for me to find small, private, family owned businesses that provide workmanship of the highest caliber and impeccable customer service. I ordered a walking stick and the walking stick leather case 2.0. I received my stick, but was sent the wrong case. I received a case for the walking stick that unscrews instead of the 2.0 case. I reached out about the issue and I was told they are sending me the correct case, and to simply discard the wrong case I received, which I asked why don't you want to me to return this wrong case I received?, and I never got a response. Fast forward to today, I received the exact same wrong case again. I now have two of the wrong cases instead of the walking stick 2.0 case I ordered in the beginning of August for my daughters birthday. Can some body please send me the correct case that I ordered, and send me a return label for the now two wrong cases I was sent. I purchased a walking stick for my husband and within a month is broke in half. The thing was hardly used and the other day he took the dog for a hike and when he turned quick to see where the dog was the stick snapped in half. You can't speak with a person at Brazos customer service, you can only email them. I was told this wasn't a defect and I can't understand how it cannot be. This was normal everyday use! They also said they would not refund or replace their product. Don't bother with this company! If you can't stand by your product it's not worth it to deal with Brazos. $100 just thrown away and terrible customer service. If only I could give them minus stars...one star is too many read more

Exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail in these fine sticks. I bought one of these as a gift for a retired navy admiral. It was the bocote dark wood and was also engraved with medallion. The country knows the tragic loss of property and lives during the 2021 Winter storm in Texas. Having placed an order one day before this emergency situation, I didn't expect to receive my order any time soon. Brazos lost power, water, pipes froze, .. not to mention the employees out with COVID! The next day I received an email from the supervisor for customer relations; Hannah McAlister - a true compassionate professional, .. my highest compliment. She continued back and forth emails with me every day. How could they be so conscientious with one simple order to spend this time with my satisfaction. A family company -- since forever. A web site worth looking at and a company more than worth doing business with. They changed the heading on their web site a few times going forward advising people of their situation and expectations. The day after they received power (still no water) they did the engraving on my BEAUTIFUL stick and shipped it the next day. I placed this order as a gift, .. when I received a text (two days later) from the girl I ordered it for saying (OMG!! BEAUTIFUL!!), .. it made my day!! I purchased a beautiful cane in Bocote wood, but cane cracked upon first use at handle .... Brazos first reaction was to blame the shipper.... they packaged the cane with no packing material, just a cane with one wrap of paper loosely placed in a cardboard box. I still do not believe UPS damaged the cane, but rather think a poorly fitted joint was crafted by Brazos - that joint then cracked. Buy your cane elsewhere as the quality is poor and customer service is worse! read more
