The office staff customer service was greatly improved and friendly and welcoming. Ms. Shawna Grant was very helpful and handling my needs really stood out while she serviced my request. She was friendly and warm. the process time was exceptional, Five Star service. I have my renewal license in the time which was quote. Thank you!!!!

The lady who helped me was so nice & friendly, I felt like I made a friend. It was the best experience I've ever had at a government service bldg. We were so lucky to be helped by Shelby, who provided exceptional customer service. Shelby was incredibly kind, patient, and professional throughout the process. My dad is over 86 years old and had difficulty completing his fingerprints, but Shelby never rushed him. Instead, she patiently guided him and made sure he felt comfortable and respected. What touched me most was how she took the time to compliment and encourage my dad, which really made his day. Her kindness and positive attitude turned what could have been a stressful experience into a pleasant one. Anyway, I got there and got clear instructions on what to do, and then was quickly called back by Zachovia (apologies if my spelling is off!) she was efficient and businesslike and she got it all taken care of so quickly - what a relief! Anyway I just wanted to say this went very smoothly thanks to her! I did hear someone's appointment get canceled because they hadn't already filled out the needed forms when they got here for their appointment, so I do recommend you get everything you need printed up and filled out before you get here because they don't play! Best of luck to anybody trying to navigate this process who has lost important documents needed for the Real ID. Luckily I have a current passport and that really made all the difference along with my ss card and drivers license. If you have time and money to do it, I recommend getting a passport first because it makes the rest of it so much less of an ordeal and I think the process may even be less stressful. Plus you might want to be able to leave the country in the next decade. :)

Well I got to the office about 11:30 this morning, finished up and out the door by 12:45. You can book an appointment on line so your wait may not be that long. When you get there you log into and make a selection of either sitting there or requesting a text when it is your turn. I opted for the text message but still sat in the waiting room. There are about 15 chairs and they are always full. You can wait out side on the picnic table. Mine probable took longer being I was a New Resident and changing over a lot of items. They have one window dedicated to dealers so they can come in and be out sooner. Most people I saw were doing renewals and some other issues. Debra helped me out in getting both of my vehicles registered and my Disabled Veteran's plates. She was very professional and courteous, great conversation as we moved along in the process. She is a true and real asset to this office. All of the other ladies in all of their transaction were very professional in their dealing with the public. I did not see anyone leaving the office angry or frustrated. Keep up the great work you and a true asset to the city and county.

Maybe this is an anomaly but I had a very good experience here renewing my driver's license…read more I was able to secure a 9 AM appointment using the online App. I arrived at 840 AM and was greeted by the DPS greeter (LOL) he assisted me in checking in and I was directed to another DPS Rep who guided me to an unoccupied station. I was again greeted by a very pleasant woman who swiftly moved me through the renewal process. We had a pleasant conversation regarding my new picture and my 23 years of living in TX as opposed to Mass. I walked out at 9 AM at exactly my appointment time! Winner winner chicken dinner! This locale has plenty of parking and many DPS folks to assist. Pro tip: Make sure you bring all the required paperwork or you will be SOOLuck and have to reschedule.

All I had to do was head to the forms on the wall and select the one that applied to me (there were three to choose from and the options were very clear). Clipboards for filling out the forms were plenty at the reception desk. Additionally, the form was very straightforward. There are plenty of seats in the waiting area and clear signs tracking customer numbers for service. The DPS counters for customer service are hidden from the waiting area with temporary walls, providing customer privacy. That said, there are clear signs posted indicating the number of each employee's counter to help customers go to the right person. Customer numbers are clearly announced when it is their turn. The employee who assisted me was amiable and efficient. He appreciated that I was prepared with appropriate documentation and a completely filled out form. Taking my new driver license photo was easy; however, there was only once chance for it, so I had to accept the one that came thru. But it's not meant to be a glamour shot, so no reason to complain! Paying happens with the employee, and that was super easy. Overall, this is a great location to renew driver licenses!
