She helped me pick a style that was best sutible for my eyes (I used Ardell Double Up lashes as an example) and I got exactly what I wanted. Update (June 2020): I thought it was important to hop on here and update my review since we're still in the midst of COVID-19. I also want to mention that I'm writing this review purely because Amalia deserves it. I gain nothing from writing this! I had my first lash appointment yesterday since March and OH MY GOSH I feel great. My lashes are bomb (as always), but I was SO much happier to catch up with my friend I missed so much, Amalia. I have been getting lashed by her for about four years now, even driving over an hour to see her. A couple points I need to highlight because they're very important. 1) She has always kept her supplies and facility cleansed and spotless. Taking even further precautions now- no sheets, wiping down everything after a client (countertops and supplies used), allowing more time in between clients to clean, and minimizing the amount of clients she's seeing each day (I'm sure there's SO much more she does after I leave that I don't see). 2) After removing my lashes, my natural lashes were still beautiful, clean and just how I remembered them. 3) When I get lashed, they last for such a long time with minimal fallout! Remember, it's not only our lash artist's job- personal hygiene and cleanliness is important with lash retention! 4) My favorite part about getting lashed by Amalia is not ONLY the lashes (although I still get so many compliments), it's being able to catch up with her because she truly has one of the most beautiful and pure hearts. She has such a niche of making her clients feel welcomed, pampered and embraced each time. She takes the time to get to know you and I'm so happy that I've been able to build such a friendship with her over the years. I found this business through a friend of a friend. To say the least, the quality was okay. The lashes were so thick however they still fell off very easily. I have gone to my long term artist in another state for a very long time. I'm very experienced on how to care for the lashes. I had purchased the eye lash solution and cleaned daily. Well... where to began. I started going to Amalia in July of 2018. When I began my appointments with Amalia. I loved my lashes because I felt like I was finally doing something for myself as I am the type of person that never spends money on myself. It felt great to do a little something for myself. I loved the environment and getting me time for a bit and Amalia appeared to be a sweet person but over time things started to change in every area. First off, my lashes. I felt as though something was always poking my eyes but I ignored it because I figured that this is the way it was suppose to feel. Well apparently when i stopped going to Amalia I learned by going to another artist that was not the case. My lashes aren't suppose to feel like they hurt. When my lashes would fall, they would break off in chunks and looked like I had gaps in my lashes. My eyes were also continuously red and I'm not sure why. When I finally removed them all. My own lashes were so thinned out and took time to grow back. I was told by Amalia in the beginning that my own lashes would never be affected. Which is not the case. Secondly during my lash appointments. I felt like Amalia would drop all her problems and tell me about everything going on in her life. From her clients to her dad to her brother to her husband, to her employees and beyond. She constantly mentioned that the clients she received from a "friend" that went on maternity leave had really bad lashes. She said that her "friend" did a horrible job and used this vulnerable time of her friends to gain more clients for her own benefit. She would tell me that she would tell those clients that their lashes looked dirty. But yet Amalia herself went and hand her own personal lashes done by this "friend" for years. So I started to see the side of her that she manipulated that situation to gain more clients for herself during her friends vulnerable time of life. In addition to that Amalia would say that she felt like she was a personal therapist to her clients because they would bring her all their problems and she would share those problems with me so I'm sure she was sharing people's info with everyone. And in return Amalia would dish all her dirt. Lastly fast forward to October 2019. Amalia decided to raise her prices which businesses are entitle to change their prices as they please. But Amalia decided that she would have her husband call me the night before my appointment to say that she will be upping my prices effective immediately and if I wanted my lashes done the next day. I needed to pay the new price. I had no problem paying the new price but the unprofessional way that it was handle blew my mind. I chose to not return because of the way that it was handle. And lastly she uses people. She was the sweetest person to me when she got what she wanted. I spent over 9 almost 10 hours photographing her wedding and didn't receive a dime. She got what she wanted out of me and then treated me like dirt. Now fast forward to today. So as of today, it took me a while to decide to write this review but I think that people need to know the real person that they are going to. And I had many opportunities to write a review as Amalia has a sign discount in her salon offering it if people leave a positive review. In the end, true colors shine through and even though majority of these reviews are positive I hope that these women start to think about their appointments and what they've shared with Amalia. She portrayed herself as such a sweet person for a long time but I learned about the true person overnight when I saw how she treated her "friend" during leave and then me and 2 other clients I know that no longer go to her as well.. read more

Unfortunately I have to come here to review Brazen Lash with a 1 star. I began going to Amalia when it came time for my junior prom 2.5 years ago. At that time I was in high school but had my own responsibilities, my own vehicle and I paid my way with all my appointments at the price that Amalia gave me. During my time of getting lashed with Amalia, she had been using my moms services and getting photography work from her. My mom began coming to Amalia as well for her birthday in July.. My mom was also a paying client from the start. Unfortunately Amalia began to use my mom for her services and took advantage of my mom the day she got married. My mom photographed her entire wedding and Amalia didn't pay a dime. This was November of 2018. So the reason my review is relevant to that situation is because Amalia decided to be very unprofessional come October of 2019. She got what she wanted out of my mom and then booted us both on top of voicing information about her clients and I began to see that she may be doing the same to me. Even though I loved my lashes her unprofessional-ism outweighed that. She began to tell me about her friend Ella. She would say that she hated that Ella would always cancel her appointment the day before and she was tired of that and didn't want to lash her anymore. I began to realize that she is very unprofessional and when it came to the final month of me going to Amalia for lashes. She showed me that I was correct. She didn't have the respect to contact me regarding a price increase, she cancelled my appointment and she went through my mom to do it. It's sad that she operates this way. I nor my mom want anything to do with dirty business. You don't take advantage of people and think that is okay.
