I don't know where to begin! My driver's side door was sideswiped two years ago and after the…read morerepairs were "completed" the door for four months would not close properly. I consistently heard a whistle when I drove, indicating that the door was not fully fitting onto the frame. D & H Body Shop was notified of the error and proceeded to correct the problem. Then, some two years later, I went to the Ford dealership to buy a part and was asked where the VIN sticker is that is usually attached to the driver's side door. Confused as the where that sticker could be, I surmised that after D&H did the work on my door, they discarded the door part that contained the sticker. I was not notified by D&H that I would need a new sticker. I then contact D&H Body Shop about my concerns and I was told by Kathy, the owner of the business for 45 years, that she contacted my former insurance company who would reimburse me for the cost of the sticker, around $23.00. I appreciate the time and energy that D&H Body Shop went through to resolve this minor yet somewhat concerning experience. Thank you!

It honestly felt like I was being taken advantage of. Situations like this are already stressful, and instead of helping, this company made it even more frustrating. My wife was driving from San Diego to AZ and had transmission issues just outside of El Centro. She…read morelimped it back to El Centro and I drove out that night to swap out vehicles. In the morning, I started driving around to find a shop that could top off the ATF so I could attempt a drive back to SD. A bunch of shops that showed to open at 7 were still closed at 8. I called over to Tucker as they should open but were a little further out. Michael took my call and understood my situation and while transmission repair isn't their specialty, told me to come over and they would help me out. Michael met me as soon as I arrived and brought my truck around to have one of his guys check it out. Instead of just doing the minimum of adding some ATF, they ran diagnose on the truck to make sure I wasn't just setting myself up for a bigger issue by driving it back. They did find a few things on the scan but confirmed the ATF was low and got that were it should be. Besides for not even charging me for the service, he gave me a quality t-shirt as well! BTW - I was able to make it back to San Diego and the fluid level was still good upon my return. It would have been easy to be taken advantage of being "out of town" but that isn't how they do business. Hopefully I don't ever have car trouble in El Centro again, but it I do or need a tow, I know a shop that earned my business.
