Hired this company to remodel our bathroom. Guy named Chad came over to take a look at our old…read morebathroom. My wife and I discussed with him the type of bathrrom that we want. He took measutrements and a couple days later came up with a quote and contract that we had to sign. Company asked for a 1k deposit and work began. At this point we have yet to receive a copy of the signed contract so I contacted the company and spoke with Porter who furnished me a copy via email for expediency per my request (hard to go through the emailed contract, however, as opposed to a hard copy). To make the story short, construction of the new bathroom was done at their estimated completion date. To our surprise, however, there was no glass enclosure. When Chad came over for the walk through and to collect the balance payment, we asked why glass enclosure was omitted. He said that's how some bathrooms are constructed, but it's not what we wanted per our initial encounter. For one thing, the old one that was torn down had glass enclosure. He replied, "Well, we satisfied the contract". We ended up paying over 31k that we thought was inclusive of the glass enclosure, but ended up hiring another company to install it. I'm partially to blame for not examining the contract closely (lesson learned), but then I'm not familiar with construction lingo. Makes me wonder why contract was not delivered promptly. There seems a lack of transparency on their part.

We are in escrow on a fixer upper home and are trying to make plans and decisions for some remodeling as soon as we get the keys. We went into the shop. There was a girl cleaning the store, a lady sitting behind a huge desk, and another worker behind a desk tucked away at the side of the building. The woman at the desk yelled across the room asking what we came for, which seems kind of silly at a kitchen and bath showroom, obviously were thinking about a remodel. We told her we are in escrow on a house and looking to do an immediate remodel. She said something along the lines of "feel free to look around" and then dove right back into her work at the desk. The entire time we looked around (about 10 mins), we walked the whole showroom. Not a single person spoke to us again inside or even got out behind from their desks. We ended up leaving because the experience left a bad taste in our mouths. We wanted to find experts in the field to help guide us through the remodel and process, just like the commercials advertise. Unfortunately, we got the vibe that there would not be much help here from our experience in the showroom. First impressions mean a lot. We will be doing our remodel, but we ended up finding other local contractors and businesses that presented themselves positively, communicate well, and seem genuinely excited at the idea of our business. We will go with one of those businesses.
