Spent a lot of money on my vehicle at this place. I had the brakes completely redone from calipers, lines, rotors pads. Only for them to start squealing not even 6 months after. Brought it back Paul said that his mechanic put on cheap pads....now I am outside of the warranty on the work done and the rotors are warped like nothing I have ever witnessed. I do regular driving and have owned many cars, trucks, you name it. I have never, ever seen rotors warp like this. I will never bring any vehicle there again. read more

We had a lower control are that my husband was in the middle of replacing when he discovered a metal sleeve was stuck on it. He tried everything he could to get it off, but it wouldn't budge. I took it to Brauning, and even though they were not sure they could get it off of it, they said they would try. They said it was extremely difficult, but they did it! if I can save one person from seeking Brauning automotive services, it will make my day! Brauning automotive is a fraud. He defrauded me and try to defraud defraud my stepdaughter. Having used Brauning the last three years, My car was towed there because it wouldn't start. When repairs were done, it cost me $1600. I asked to see the parts replaced and for an explanation of repairs. When I spoke to a friend who had worked in the industry, he found the explanation questionable. Recently my car wouldn't start, had it jumped, and brought it to my friends mechanic. He too found the repairs questionable and said many people had come to him complaining about Brauning automotive. My stepdaughter's car stalled out and wouldn't restart. She had it towed to Brauning. They have serviced two of her cars over the last five years and they received thousands of dollars for repairs. Brauning said he did a diagnostic and that she needed almost $1200 in repairs but couldn't get the port for over a week. She called the dealer who got the part in two days the car was towed to the dealer because she worried about her car stalling out. Brauning said the tow was unnecessary and that the car was drivable!! The dealer did the diagnostic, said the car checked out and only needed gas and an oil change. The dealer charged $240. When confronted with the question about his estimate, Brauning stood by his assessment. He did reverse the charge for the diagnostic fee when asked. But he stuck by his evaluation of the cars problem. Why would Brauning say the car was Drivable and didn't need to be towed to the dealer if it really needed that part? Also was it in the dealers best interest to not recommend a $1200 repair? Who is more credible the dealer or Brauning?? Caveat emptor! Buyer beware! Brauning is a fraudster! read more

I hate to leave bad reviews but beware of this place. I took my run around vehicle in because it was sputtering. They diagnosed but didn't get any trouble code reading. They suggested I change spark plugs, wires, and I believe something called cooling packs for $1800. Sounded unbelievably high to me so I called three other local repair shops and they quoted $600-670 including parts. I denied service and then they charged $167 for the diagnostics. That's more than Mercedes charged for my GL450 diagnostics and my drive around car is a Ford. I certainly believe these folks tried to rip me off for sure. Just go somewhere else and save yourself time. read more

I had a great experience with Brauning Automotive. Mr. Brauning is extremely honest, fair, and caring toward his customers, as you usually get with a mom and pop kind of shop. He told me that he does not advertise, and all of his customers are referral based only. I had to get a great deal of work done to my car, including brakes and rotors, a new water pump, hoses, and a housing unit for the water pump. When I called to also ask him to also do an oil change, change my burnt out front light, and check that my car was otherwise safe to drive in addition to the work I was getting done, he said absolutely no questions asked, and had my car done within a day. He checked my car through and through and made sure there were no other necessary concerns. The prices are extremely reasonable and Mr. Brauning strives to get the work done without overcharging. The owner was probably the rudest man I've ever dealt with. He has no people skills what so ever and doesn't know how to talk to customers. He tried to sell me parts I didn't need and gave me an outrageous estimate. And when I said I wanted someone else to take a look at it before I went ahead with the work, he got agitated with me so I left. I took it to a different shop and they told me I didn't need half the stuff done that he said I did. read more

Staff is super friendly and down to earth. I went in yesterday to have the front brake pads replaced and ended up needing all 4 brake pads and rotars with a bill we were not prepared to pay. However, they were upfront and honest and I could tell they weren't just trying to add more work for more money. They told me the tires needed to be replaced too and recommended I go to walmart to get them cheaper since we just paid over 800 for all the brakes and rotars. They have a comfortable waiting area and even offered me a bottled water while waiting. Overall great service ( did I mention a free oil change?!) And even have coupons mailed in with the valpak that we get in the mail. One coupon at a time. Others came in while I was waiting and got their emissions done super fast and when calling around for brake prices they were by far the cheapest. I took my car in for state and emissions inspection, they told me it failed emissions and when I left every warning light on the dash was on - none of them were on when I came in. They told me I had to go back to the dealer and have them reset the codes. The dealer did so and told me to drive it a few miles down 95 w/o ac (July) and then try again. When I came back in for emissions test again Brauning told me I had to drive it 150-200 miles for the codes to set so again, and it had to sit overnight several nights to let the codes set....I left and did this over several days...again I came back and when they plugged it in to test for emissions, all of the warning lights on my dash came on again, Brauning failed me and told me to get it fixed then come back. I went back to dealer who once again reset codes and told me I only had to drive it at 55 for 10 seconds and then 65 for 10 seconds and then it would be ok. Did this on 95 and went straight to Pohanka to have the emissions retested and passed with flying colors! It wasn't my car, they told me that Brauning probably has a bad wire or connection on his emissions testing machine. I won't be returning there again as they cost me alot of time from work and aggravation. read more
