If your a regular, you're fine. You get dirty looks if you ask to order. Bartender talks to regulars and gets mad if you interrupt her.

Booner's Place is better than it looks when entering. Kind of divey but cleaner inside. The prices are pretty cheap mostly. Basic looking bar. It's actually bigger than it appears from the outside. There's enough room for big groups and parties. Has basically just lots of drinks. There's some beers on tap and lots more in bottles and cans, so great variety. It's about $6 for a basic cocktail. There's a pretty okay choice of liquors. Has no food menu basically. They may have those frozen pizzas. For sure it's better than expected. It's located on Washington Street at Jefferson. This is mostly chill except when there's games or music on they have a few times.

Tried this place on the suggestion of friends who were meeting there to hear a band…read more I was prepared for the worst based on the outside- but it probably was one of the BEST entertainment experiences I have had in some time. Here are some of the highlights. - The neighborhood is in transition but not a real problem. - Lots of parking, it's OK to park in the school lot across the street. - NO COVER CHARGE for a well-known blues band popular in the greater Chicagoland area performing on a weekend. Unheard of. - The female bartenders are HOT HOT HOT and they had very sexy and cute uniforms. Each one smiled a lot and took care of drink orders QUICK. They were even nice when my guest switched to drinking water later in the evening. - Drink prices were about what you'd pay for a place with no entertainment, but with the benefit of entertainment! - Not too crowded, a nice crowd for a Saturday night. - Classy decoration inside the bar and comfortable seating. - Diverse crowd from 20-somethings to over 40's. Seemed like lots of singles and by and large friendly mid to upscale people. I didn't observe a SINGLE negative about this place (OK - the band stand could be elevated a bit so people could see them better) and I would be happy to go back again sometime when they have a band or maybe just show up to watch a game. It's obvious by the attitude of the employees that management knows how to best treat customers and have people leave with a positive memory of their night out. Trust me- don't be intimidated by the rough exterior, give them a try and judge for yourself.

From going to corporate events and hanging out with friends, I've gone to Yard House a good amount…read moreand always enjoyed the food, but never found it to be super special. My food experience at this location was a bit better than other locations I've tried and makes me excited to come back to try more items. Like other locations, there is plenty of parking and interior resembles a more upscale sports bar. Service is relatively quick despite how busy they are and prices are pretty fair for the quality of food. I started my meal off with Poke Nachos, one of four that I've had in the last few months and this was possibly the best of the bunch. This had a good amount of raw ahi tuna (though a few more chunks would be nice) and added some additional flavors through nori and sesame seeds so that it was a bit less sauce dependent than other versions I've tried. The wontons were super crispy and avocado was nice and creamy. The mix of serranos, white truffle sauce, sweet soy ginger sauce, sriracha aioli, cilantro, and green onions all mixed together to create a great flavor. I was very impressed with the amount of flavor packed into a dish that's only 880 calories. The crispy traditional wings were also cooked nicely, the skin was nice and crispy while the meat was not overcooked. The buffalo sauce was a bit light for me, though good if you aren't looking for something that's too tangy or spicy. The Korean chili garlic had the right level of sweetness mixed with a good amount of garlic flavor and a light level of spiciness. This is one of the better preparations I've had outside of Korean Fried Chicken specialist restaurants. For entrees the Ahi Tuna Crunchy salad is one of the better versions of this dish that I've had as well. The field greens, broccoli slaw, and crispy wontons were a nice base with the soy vinaigrette -- but the star of the dish was the seared rare and blackened ahi tuna. Super flavorful and prepared just right, this was better than the steak I had eaten for lunch and again a very healthy way to pack a lot of flavor into a low number of calories. On the flipside, the kurobata pork sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I've had so far this year. The berkshire pork isn't super fatty, but just enough to have a great level of tenderness and flavor when grilled. The candied bacon, white american cheese, and house-made blueberry ketchup did a fantastic job of adding some saltiness and just a bit of extra fat (without seeming excessive) and giving the dish just a little acid. The total combination worked perfectly in harmony and is worth making a special trip to eat again. I ended the meal with the S'more brownie meltdown. This was done well -- with a nice fudge brownie that had great chocolate flavor and matched perfectly with the graham cracker toffee. This would've been the highlight of the dish, had it not been for the delicious combination of the marshmallow gelato and dark chocolate sauce. I'm not a giant fan of marshmallows, but this gelato was amazing and tied everything together perfectly. Overall, an unexpectedly great experience from a restaurant chain that I've gone to many times. Without a doubt, I know which location to take my friends and family to for special meals in the future.

This place is extremely noisy if you sit inside, difficult to have a conversation…read more The service was good (note that there are different servers involved, you can also just order from the little tablet they have on each table). We went for happy hour and enjoyed very big portions of appetizers! Can't miss their fried cheese curds, those are outstanding! We also tried the brussel sprouts appetizer- not bad but a little greasy. We also tried a pizza that was ok Unfortunately I missed the pics from the appetizers. Next time !!

Quick disclaimer: I've only visited during the daytime, so I can't really speak to the late night atmosphere I'm too old to be out after 8PM! I ended up grabbing a seat at the bar because I was starving. Me and my sister had the great debate about chips and guacamole and smothered fries (I'm a chips and guacamole person!) we ended up getting both and they were both delicious Take the bartenders advice and add the steak to the fries! What really stood out was the staff. We don't know if it's us or them, but somehow we always end up talking to everyone wherever we go. From the bartenders to the managers, co owners, and even the cook I think everyone came out and talked with us and everyone was friendly and welcoming and seemed happy to be there, we appreciated the atmosphere! The drinks were good, the food was great, and the people made the experience memorable as we were being sad girls. We even ended up taking a group photo with everyone (please excuse my red Asian glow ). If you're looking for a casual spot to grab a drink, get some food, and unwind Flanagan's is definitely a good spot.

The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between relaxed and lively--great for hanging out with friends or catching a game. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which made the visit feel comfortable. The food was definitely a highlight. The menu had a good variety of classic bar favorites, and everything we ordered came out fresh and flavorful. The burgers were especially impressive--juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. The appetizers were also a hit, perfect for sharing. The drink selection was decent, with a good mix of beers and cocktails. Prices felt reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, which is always a plus. Overall, it's a great place to unwind, grab good food, and enjoy a fun, casual vibe. I'd definitely come back.

Wow. I've been here multiple times, and not once have I had a good experience…read more I came here with my family for drinks and ended up having the same bartender who has caused issues in the past. First, he struggled to take five drink orders and brought out the wrong drinks. The bar wasn't even busy, yet we waited more than 20 minutes for them to arrive. When they finally did, the drinks tasted watered down. I politely mentioned this to him, and his response was, "You're f-ing with me." I told him I would rather switch to beer because I didn't want to continue drinking poorly made cocktails. He then replied, "Don't be surprised if the bucket of beers you order comes to you half empty." His behavior was incredibly rude and unprofessional, and he constantly complained about everything throughout our visit. Getting the check was an absolute nightmare. Somehow, he deleted our bill and couldn't find it. When he finally brought us a check, the total seemed way too high. It turned out he had charged us for another party's bill. When we asked for an itemized receipt, he acted annoyed and complained about the request. The issue was eventually resolved, but we were told they couldn't cancel the transaction, so the other party had to reimburse us in cash for the amount we were incorrectly charged to our bill. We asked to speak with a manager, only to find out there wasn't one on-site on a Friday night. Instead, we were given a handwritten name and phone number. As I said, I've never had a good experience here. Some members of the staff were helpful and understanding, but this particular bartender has been a recurring problem. I don't know if he was intoxicated, under the influence, or simply having a bad day, but the level of incompetence and unprofessionalism was unbelievable. This place feels like an absolute circus.

The first thing I noticed was that all along downtown Lake Forest were large LF flags so it must have been before the football game. There were lots of families in Duffer's, and they had the windows open and the setting seems rather spacious, with golf simulators. We ordered burgers and tots, which were decent (tots - yum!) although we were let down by Beer Nuggets, which were like pillsbury crescent rolls with red sauce and neither beer nor nuggets. The Detroit style pizza did look very promising and I saw lots of pizza being carried out. Duffer's had a fun, friendly vibe and I'd come back to try the pizza.
