Brassica is like if chipotle and cava had a kid and that kid has a trust fund. What I'd call elevated fast casual, Brassica is where clean, whole food ingredients meets the American urge to throw everything into a bowl and inhale it in 3 minutes flat. And I loved every second of it. Counter staff were super friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. The portion sizes they keep on the line are very small, guaranteeing only the freshest of ingredients. A nice variety of topping choices while still remaining extremely simple. I don't know what kind of spices they put in the rice but it was unique and I kept wanting to go back for more. Definitely pricey when stacked against some of its competitors, but worth it IMO.

Chicken and Hummus Meal with basically I got like every topping lol and I'd do it again! SO GOOD AND INCREDIBLY FRESH! I miss this place

I wish there was one close to where I live! It's so delicious, food freshly made and really nice people working. The decor was beautiful and so welcoming as well. I'd go there at least a few times a week if I lived closer. Nice options for dine in and take out.

Brassica is a massive winner in my book, offering delicious sandwiches and salads with antibiotic-free meats and organic whole wheat pitas. It's similar to Cava Grill, a Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant chain with locations across the United States. I built a salad with half hummus and half baba (which is a smoky eggplant dip with tahini, extra virgin olive oil, and roasted garlic). I also got some Brassica fries and a drink, and I was so full! This place is so delicious, and the service is good, so I definitely recommend it if you like Mediterranean flavors!

One of my favorite places in bexley!! It is SO good and so fresh. The chicken is BEYOND flavorful & im obsessed with their special sauce. Trust me, you will want to try their cookies and fresh fries. They are a MUST! The service is always fast and friendly.

Let me start by saying, all brassica is great brassica. For my last few trips though I've been going to the Bexley location and they have it down! The line always moves quickly, they ask about your fry order ahead of time so it's ready when you're checking out (fries always hot and fresh!), and the indoor/ outdoor seating is expansive. Onto the food, if you haven't had Brassica- put this at the top of your list. No matter what combo you get, it's sure to make your entire day better.

Hear me out. This might be not the most conventional Mediterranean restaurant, is like an upscale fast food place, but well done my friends . The food was surprisingly good. Since you enter, the staff treats you with respect and are helpful recommending what they think is the best option, the ambience is relaxing and quiet plus, the location is super clean and neat. Definitely you paid for what you are getting, is not super expensive but is not cheap either. I can come back to this restaurant again, and it will leave me happy and satisfied (that's what she said) shout outs to the ones that get the reference.

Brassica delivers fresh, flavorful dishes that keep you coming back for more! After trying their delicious chicken salad bowl on my first visit, I returned the very next day to indulge in their brisket sandwich--equally satisfying. The mint lemonade is refreshingly perfect, and the Brassirita? Strong, delicious, and top tier. A must-try spot for sure! The service was outstanding & ambiance is giving modern but casual vibe.

Clean restaurant. 2/3 of the employees we dealt with were friendly, one.... Not so much... Food was SO GOOD. And we definitely recommend going if you're in the area. Try a bit of everything! Minty Pink Lemonade was great, cookie was fab. And oh yea, our actual lunch was delicious too :) Parking is tight and there is not too much space on the left hand side of the "shopping" center.

Salad with brisket, hummus and the house dressing - so good!

I absolutely love Brassica! I had a salad bowl with brisket, hummus and veggies (carrots, along with cucumbers and radishes). The salad greens were great (not just Romaine or iceberg). Daughter had hummus with veggies. A great, healthy and quick-but-not-fast-food experience, with a casual sit down restaurant feel. Service was polite and efficient. Parking lot adjacent. If I lived in Columbus, this would be a once a week place for me! I'll settle for frequent visits.

Superb sandwiches and solid sides. Yep, that's the menu. But that's all they need!…read more Of the sides, the soft pretzels and pimento cheese were worth it - a perfect pairing. I would get them again. The dill pickle potato salad was okay. But let's get to these sandwiches. Meaty, juicy goodness. The sandwich that I got was a special called the King of the Rodeo. Meatloaf, bacon, white cheddar, BBQ sauce, crispy fried onions and ranch on sourdough. OMG! Put this on your regular menu, Newfangled! My wife got the Joe Brrr, essentially a Turkey Reuben. Completely different from my sandwich but very good. No wonder everyone gives this place 5 stars.

This Sandwich Brought the Heat: My Visit to Newfangled Kitchen…read more Some meals leave you full. Others leave you talking. And then there's the Lucifer's Hammer sandwich from Newfangled Kitchen in Bexley, Ohio--which left me sweating, smiling, and seriously considering a second round. I'd heard whispers about Newfangled Kitchen for a while. It's one of those word-of-mouth places--no gimmicks, no over-the-top Instagram vibes, just damn good sandwiches built with love (and a little madness). So when I finally found myself near Bexley, I knew I had to stop in. The moment you walk in, you get a sense of what this place is all about. The decor is no-frills but full of personality--warm wood tones, clever sandwich names chalked up on the wall, and a retro, diner-meets-neighborhood-joint kind of charm. It's small inside--cozy, really--with a few tables to snag if you're lucky. But if the weather's nice, the real move is to take your order out to one of the picnic tables just outside. There's something about spicy meatloaf and sunshine that just works. Now, about that sandwich. Lucifer's Hammer. Even the name dares you to underestimate it. We're talking a thick slab of meatloaf--juicy, savory, slightly crisp around the edges--stacked with fiery jalapeños, melted pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and smothered in their housemade diablo sauce. All that gets hugged by a soft, toasted bun. One bite in, and it's clear this isn't just a sandwich. It's a full-on assault (in the best way) on your tastebuds. The meatloaf is the real MVP here--comfort food leveled up. It's hearty, flavorful, and holds its own under the weight of the spice. The jalapeños bring the fire, but it's the diablo sauce that steals the show. Creamy, smoky, spicy--it lingers long after the last bite like a good movie scene you replay in your head. But Newfangled doesn't stop at one knockout. They've got a whole lineup of meatloaf-based magic. There's the "Newfangled"--their namesake sandwich, topped with bacon, cheddar, and a tangy barbecue aioli that brings the sweet-and-savory energy. Or the "Phil's Delight," which throws in fried onions and horseradish mayo for a punchier, richer flavor profile. If you want something a little less volcanic than Lucifer's Hammer but still packed with character, "The Fancy Pants" is a solid move--Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, and just enough zip to keep things interesting. And don't sleep on the sides. The mac & cheese is creamy and golden--exactly what you want riding shotgun next to your sandwich. The tater tots are crispy and nostalgic in the best way. And yes, they've got hand-cut fries too--salty, satisfying, and perfect for dipping into any sauce you "accidentally" save from your sandwich. Need something sweet to cool things down after Lucifer scorches your tastebuds? Enter the dessert menu. On my visit, there was a rotating selection of housemade brownies and cookies, and they were everything you hope they'd be--gooey, chocolatey, just-right indulgence that ties the meal together like a great movie ending. Newfangled Kitchen knows what it is: a sandwich shop with soul. No frills. No filler. Just really good food done really well. It's the kind of place where you feel like a regular even on your first visit, where the staff greets you with a smile and a knowing nod when you point to the hotter options on the board. If you ever find yourself anywhere near Bexley, do yourself a favor: stop in. Order the Lucifer's Hammer if you dare, but whatever you choose, bring your appetite. Grab a picnic table if the weather's kind, and take your time with it. Because sometimes, it's not just about the destination--or even the sandwich. Sometimes, you've just gotta take the trip.

First time my wife and daughter stopped before our daughter headed overseas for two years in the Peace Corps. Scotty''s is super close and convenient to the airport. Scotty learned of the imminent departure and came with cookies and treats for the long flight! And now this morning it was another airport drop off. It was my turn, dining alone but nothing about a table for one at Scotty's is lonely. The staff are immediately welcoming and every customer is every employee's charge. Four different people helped me or just checked in. The Gina breakfast combos have lots to offer for breakfast. But I was thrilled this 9:30 am to be assured the whole menu was available. I was looking for something less common and was excited to see potato latkes with sour cream and apple sauce as an option. That would have been great but then the waitress (Salome maybe) said, "Do you like corned beef?" The Schmoozer is 3 enormous latkes with thinly shaved and lightly grilled corn beef on top with an over easy egg atop that. Seriously, I can declare victory for finding something I'd never had before. Never would have found it without the nudge. Had to cut myself off with all the coffee offers. Just a great vibe. You rarely see a 4.9 rating and even more rarely that high based on so many reviews. But I understand why - like in so many things in life, it is about the people. And the joy they bring to every conversation. And I will just add, in this age when some would divide us, this dining room is filled with all manner of folks, reveling together over food in fellowship.

Busy at 1:15 on a weekday, end of the lunch rush, apparently. Multiple people behind the counter, working hard. Slicing the meat seems to be what takes the most time. Counter, phone, pick up, etc. The sub came out in about 10 minutes. Fresh and hot. Loads of meats (ham, salami, pepp,) grilled onions, fresh lettuce, and tomatoes. All on good bread. Oh, and provolone cheese, nicely melted. All the flavors and textures work together really well. It's a little spicy, really not much, but enough to add some flavor. The 8 inch was enough for a light lunch for me. I would definitely get another one. I hope it sticks around and is not just limited time. Prices are decent for the quality and quality. The place was a little dirty, again after the lunch rush, they just hadn't had a chance to wipe the tables. Parking is street only and somewhat scarce, I'm sure especially at peak times.

All of the items on the menu looked appealing to me, but the menu needs work. It has items on it without any description of the items. For example, my turkey sub had banana peppers on them. I like banana peppers, but I know a lot of people who don't and can see that being an issue. I ordered online through the business DoorDash partnership, which created a cold interaction with the person working there. He kept telling me to show him that I accepted the order on DoorDash, and asked if it was my first day since I couldn't find the button. I then told him that I ordered the food for myself and his demeanor changed completely and was extremely nice and gave me the order. I have heard of DoorDash people scamming businesses so I understand his caution, but it could have been handled better. It would probably be best if he just asked if it's a carry-out or a DoorDash order. The inside is essentially just a giant kitchen and counter, so carry-out is also the only option. I ordered a turkey sub, coney, and a side of coleslaw. The order was completed in 9 minutes, so keep that in mind if you have a far drive. The food was very good. Probably one of the best conies I have had. It was all very warm and flavorful and had the right balance of everything. If I'm in the area I'd like to try more of their menu.
