I have been going to Brassica at least once a week since moving to Bexley, and so I think it's time for me to give it a proper and honest yelp review. The first thing you'll notice as you walk into Brassica Bexley is that all their staff are amazingly friendly and smiley (great company culture I assume!!) The Brassica at Bexley offers a clean, social distanced dine-in area with outlets (lol yes very important for people like me that are always looking for places to work on my laptop‍ ) I have had their falafel, briskets, and glazed bacon (lamb). My favorite would have to be the brisket it's always very juicy with just the right amount of fat And let's not forget about Brassica's chocolate chip cookies , they are a 10/10!!!! If u don't like falafel or brisket or lamb, at least go for the !!! Our entire experience at this location was just awesome. The friendliest crew was working here! We were laughing with them the entire time they were preparing our food. Someone even came outside as we were eating to small talk with us and ask how our food tasted. You could tell how much he enjoyed working there. Our meals were exceptional. It was our first time at Brassica and I wanted to try everything. The brisket was perfection. The special sauce was magical. The veggies were flavorful. We both chose a salad with brisket and added hummus or baba, carrots, cauliflower and jalapeño, eggplant, pickled cabbage, pickled radish, (can't wait to try the pickled beet next time!), special sauce, and it comes with greens, rice, and lentils. It was delicious. One of the most flavorful meals I've had in a long time. We were persuaded into getting the fries, which had the most amazing seasoning on them. I'm already addicted! This was such a happy find! I was in Bexley, OH for work, an appt. got cancelled so I had an hour and a half to kill, so I jumped on yelp to see what options I had for lunch. Brassica was one of the options that was actually opened on a Monday! OH. MY. GOSH! I am so happy I chose to come here. Had dinner at Brassica for the first time. The atmosphere and food were warm and inviting. The staff were attentive and walked me through the steps and brews they offer on draft. The beers are local and the Jackie O's Nut Brown Ale paired well with the fries and food that I had; what a wonderful surprise. My friend and I sat there for two hours and it was closing, and the staff never rushed us. As we were leaving they wished us a warm good night when we left and a hearty thank you. Do not order pick up from here!! It is never ready and they never get your order right. This has happened the last several times. And especially do not do curbside pick up. I waited in their curbside pick up spot for a few mins, no one came out. I called the restaurant a few times, no one answers. I go in and say I have a carry out order but it was supposed to be curbside and no one came out or answered the phone. The girl at the counter grabs my order and I barely get an apology. I have been to both places, Short North and Bexley and both locations are equally good. The staff is friendly and considerate and the restaurants are both emaculate. I was surprised at the review that said the booth was dirty. I have never had that experience in either location and I have eaten there over a dozen times. It's a great place for Mediterranean food. It's setup is the easy order as you go down the line, just like Chipotle and other fast foods have done. It's easy, fast, and convenient. The only slow up is that I order falafel frequently and there are never any at the station. I do like that it is made fresh, so I won't complain, but others behind me get short tempered, even when I mention for them to go ahead of me because I am waiting. For me, the best is the hot Zug sauce. It's a wonderful addition. I am playing around with ingredients so I can try to make it at home. I would love for them to share the ingredients. We will be back again. Oh, yes, the fries are different too. They use sumac on them. A great addition to any dish! read more

The counter service staff were so helpful and efficient that you have your meal in minutes. We loved our entrees as well as the special fountain drinks. The pita bread is fresh baked in a wood oven and the fries are a must! The decor is very stylish and sparkly clean with plush seating which creates a most comfortable setting for lunch or dinner--like what you'd expect from a higher-end table service restaurant. I came in today with my hands full, carrying a 10 month old in one arm and searching for my wallet with the other, etc. After I paid for my meal, a worker carried my tray, filled my water, set up the high chair and got additional napkins. I really love the concept of this restaurant and never found myself going to the Short North but this location is on the way to my mother-in-law. I was first introduced to this location because of a Yelp gathering and because I enjoyed it so much I brought my other half. The first time I had the pita loaded with all my chosen goodies that included the brisket, carrots, cauliflower, beets, onions and tahini on the freshest warmest pita and no doubt added some of the best tasting French fries I've ever had. On this event they were giving us tastings of red or white wine or craft beers. They also serve craft beers, freshly made juices and other refreshing beverages including their minty lemonade. On my next visit I mixed it up and got the bowl with chicken, carrots, beets, red onion, cauliflower, and kale with the tahini. My other half got a pita with brisket, kale, carrots, cucumber, beets and their homemade hot sauce. We split an order of their delicious French fries. We also got their carrot and beet freshly squeezed juices and they are so fresh. It's definitely not cheap but your paying for quality and freshness. Definitely one of my favorite places. read more

The Bexley location of Brassica just opened a couple of weeks ago and I usually try to give a place some time to work the kinks out before reviewing, but this place doesn't seem to need it. The food is fantastic and includes stuff you don't find many other places. The service is really good, too -- almost surprisingly good -- with a lot of young, friendly, happy staffers eager to help you navigate the menu, find a clean table, etc. Why only 4 stars? Well, frankly it's the cost (and I can't give it 4.5). You don't HAVE to spend a lot and you won't if you do the math while you're ordering, but if you start throwing in sides and drinks there may be a bit of sticker shock at the register. Having said that, I don't think it's necessarily overpriced, because the portions are a good size and the food is really, really tasty. One suggestion for the folks at Brassica: create a simple kid's plate, even if it's only for the Bexley location...something like simple veggies/pita bread and hummus...because a picky eater might balk at your excellent but unique offerings. Right now, I can see a picky kid's veto directing the family elsewhere for dinner. It would be their loss, but I think it's worth considering. read more

Everything you love about the original Brassica plus PARKING. This is all I've ever wanted! Brassica is my go-to spot for bowls of good food. The "salad" option consists of greens, lentils, and rice. Top it off with your choice of protein (or falafel), baba, hummus, loads of veg, pickles, and sauce. Truly a standout in the Columbus food scene.
