I went to this location on March 13 for lunch. I like their food and I to the location on Lane almost every Saturday for lunch. Our food here was good but the music was so loud it was impossible to have a conversation. It was like being in a night spot instead of a restaurant but the real issue was that it was 45 degrees outside with a pretty strong breeze and they had the doors and windows propped open. I understand that the workers get to work around the ovens where it's warmer but come on people. Even an ounce of wisdom would be nice. We had to eat with our coats on and go out to the care to warm up. read more

Brassica is a culinary adventure that I would STRONGLY recommend to anyone. This restaurant is spectacular and has been a huge part of my life ever since my wife Karen left me. Every individual topping in the bowls here could each be served as their own individual dishes, however brassica boldly goes where no other Mediterranean eatery dares to go. I could go on in length about each individual element of a brassica bowl. Perhaps one of my favorites is the house made pickles, which are so freshly pickled that they are still holding onto their former life as a cucumber. The pickle faces quite an identity crisis of sorts. His crisp crunch and cucumber aftertaste tells him he is a cucumber, but his delicate yet punchy vinaigrette tang tells him he is a pickle. However, in his confusion and mourning for his former life as a cucumber, the pickle seems not to care anymore. For the pickle knows he is art. This gives me strength. But these beautifully executed pickles are but a small fraction of flavors present in a bold mosaic of taste. Each bite provide you with a new combination of flavorful elements which render a novel sensory experience. I often sit alone by myself and take my time trying to process the complexity of each and every bite & my failed marriage. The crispness of the falafel complimented with the soft savory feta cheese is one of many epic combinations you can expect with any given bite. And I have not even mentioned the pita yet! These bad boys are home made. You can actually watch these artisan crafted pitas rising into existence in the brick oven. I typically get pita on the side scoop the contents of my bowl into it. I often think of the pita as the vessel for the flavors of the other ingredients, much like how marriage is supposed to be the vessel for happiness and fulfillment. But make no mistake, these pitas do still taste delicious on their own! Their oven-warmed fluffy texture will make any pita lover feel a joy reminiscent of a time where they could feel anything but numbness. Overall this is hands down one of the best restaurants in the area. The flavors are inexplicably complex and artsy enough to satisfy any foodie. The service is quick and fast; so it's great for families and single mothers who took custody of the kids. Overall I have nothing but positivity towards this establishment. Fantastic food! Sort of a "chipotle style" build your own bowl/sandwich experience but with quality ingredients like house made pita, hummus, and baba ganouj. Vegan and vegetarian options are available and you're not missing out on flavor because the FREAKING FALAFEL IS GREAT. Only downsides are that it's a little pricy for the amount of food you get. It's not unreasonable but if you've got a big appetite like me then this might not be the place to go to fill up. Also the bowls are a little unstable as they get very narrow towards the bottom so aggressive eaters beware. Loved the food and atmosphere though! read more

We live about 15 minutes away from the Bexley location - both Short North & Upper Arlington locations are still closer to where we live, but we choose to come to Bexley every time. After visiting all three locations, there is no question the Bexley Brassica is the best. The service, the atmosphere, the food...all one step above! Brassica is one of my favorite places to eat in all of Columbus. It's a Mediterranean spin on the fast casual dining experience threally thrives on fresh and bright ingredients. You take your pick of either a sandwich made with freshly baked pita or a salad with a bed of rice lentils and greens. The Sandwich is great And I really like their Pita, But are usually find myself ordering the salad because it's a little bit easier to manage. My favorite protein is the chicken and then I load it up with the special sauce and literally every topping option they have (baba and hummus!!). The flavors blend really well together and the bowl is enough to feed me for two meals. Their fries are also dangerously addicting (get a side of sauce for dipping) and their drinks are on point. I see some people complain about the price, but to be honest for the amount and quality of the food that you get I think this is a good deal. If you've been to the short north location, this place is basically the exact same except for one major difference: there is a parking lot!! And if youve been to the short north at all in the past year, you know how important this is lol. read more

We wanted to support a local business during the COVID-19 pandemic and opted to order out from Brassica on Lane Rd. in Columbus. After placing our order and picking it up, we discovered when we got home that they messed up our order and didn't give us all the food we had paid for. Not too big a deal. We called them and told them of the issue and they kindly offered to email us a promotion coupon for the total cost of the meal to make up for it after getting my information. Problem is, they never actually sent the email. Two strikes against Brassica. Food that we did receive was fine, but the service around this issue was really disappointing considering that we tried to patronize a local business. I love this place. It's one of the few places I could eat every day. It never upsets my stomach and the flavors are so amazing I never get tired of it. My favorite option is a sandwich with hummus, lots of greens, cabbage, and cauliflower, with special sauce, and a side of fries. If I want something special, I will get myself a minty lemonade too. Let me start by saying I like the food at Brassica. It's flavorful. At this newer location in Bexley, however, I had a frustrating experience. The cafeteria-style line works only if people are properly trained and can hear patrons. There was zero communication between the employees in the line. Also, the music was extremely loud. So we ended up saying the same thing over and over all the way down the line. This took forever, and there were countless flies flying around and landing on the food as the line moved very slowly. When I finally made it closer to the register, I asked for a glass of wine. (No one offered a beverage.) Seating was scant, so we were lucky to find a table. In stark contrast, I went to CoreLife Eatery at Olentangy the next day. They have the same type of ordering system, however, it worked perfectly. The employees knew their stuff, they wrote down the order, and I never had to repeat anything. If I return to Brassica, it won't be to this one. Train your people, people! read more
