A space like this is perfect to dialogue over coffee. Mostly couples or small groups of girlfriends is what I saw. No kids screaming and no laptops of people attached to phones. Just customers talking and enjoying either coffee or some small dishes (we went at a 'coffee hour' i would say, so I cannot comment on food). We sat at the terrace, very pleasant and my only 'how come' would be when asked for cash instead of credit card. Since I go cashless I am glad my colleague was semi loaded with some euros (maybe they ask for cash as we only had coffee?). In any case, really nice place to spend an afternoon of Sunday.

I thought it was the perfect place for us to enjoy a romantic night out on the town in Maastricht. If you are seeking to impress or celebrate something special, then I would suggest Restaurant Petit Bonheur. I noticed that they especially catered to large groups. I toke a glimpse of two large parties in the restaurant across from our table. One was for an engagement party, which I was surprise to see in the Netherlands and another party was for a large group of women. I particularly favored the location, ambiance and the way the restaurant was designed.

My dinner at the Chateau was actually my first time dining in a Chateau. My abroad bae knows how fancy my taste buds and dining approaches are so I was super excited when we finally arrived . A 9pm reservation on a Sunday seemed like the worst idea but I was slightly jet lagged so a late start to dinner was exactly what I needed to get my body in tune with the 6 hour time difference. We started our 5 course tasting with an amuse bouche. What followed were 5 amazing courses each better than the rest . We decided to order a bottle of wine instead of doing the pairings and the sommelier did an amazing job finding a wine to suite our picky tastes. He also made an additional recommendation for the meat eaters Dutch Venison course. The scenery , ambiance , meal, service and company will forever a great memory for me . I'm not sure if I'll ever get the chance to go back but I would gladly accept an invitation.
