    Tikki Chaat

The food here is 'hit or miss'. I have been here twice and both the times there was a chaat item that was good and the other item that wasn't. Tikki Chaat was tasty, but Pav Bhaji was vaguely reminiscent of pav bhaji and seemed to lack the taste of cauliflower and capsicum, the two essential ingredients besides potato, which was present in copious amounts. The Indo-Chinese dish Manchurian was tasteless. Ghee fried/dipped Jalebi was okay but didn't have the magic of the sour fermented dough. The place is clean, service staff are great, and dine-in area is spacious. This is all good as long as you don't care much about the food. Hence only two stars.

Clean, nice decor, separate dining area from take out. Lots of free parking but only 1 female washroom and 1 male washroom. Hubby and son ordered aloo and mooli parathas. They were huge and devoured by the guys. The only gf vegan item was Poha, but I love this dish so I was happy. One paratha came, by the time hubby was half done my son's paratha came. My Poha came long after they were both finished. There were only 3 tables occupied so that kind of wait is not appreciated. I will chalk it up to being a holiday Monday and maybe they were short staffed? We got samosas to go but could not order at the table. We had to go to the takeout counter (and wait) for that. Everyone enjoyed the samosas. The guys had lassis with lunch and enjoyed them.

Got take out from here on Friday evening, went in with high expectations based on great reviews not only on Google but by a couple of acquaintances. Well honest opinion - Extremely expensive for the quantity. The taste and quality given the hype was just good because what I expected was super good. What we ordered: Chana masala - very tasty Mixed vegetables - loaded with mushroom taste was decent slightly on the spicy side when we mentioned medium. Veg Biryani - barely serves 2 for $13.99 though liked the taste. Along with biryani added 2 sides for $4.99 each and it was a shock to see the quantity of mutter paneer and Malai kofta for this price. Definitely both curries were just ok and you can get similar taste in several other places.

Food was nice - some spices I have not had in other restaurants - probably because I usually opt for chicken or lamb dishes and this restaurant only serves vegetarian options. Service was good and our food came quickly.

Try out their Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka, or even vegetarian options, or even Thalis. Everything is just as good. I am their returning customer, quite loyal, I would say. The staff is polite, the chef sometimes comes out to man the counter on rare occasions and greets you if you are picking up your take-out, the seating area is small and not very fancy. But that's the way I prefer it. Call me old school, but a restaurant, in my opinion needs to serve great food, and the staff needs to pleasant. Everything else can be low key. Clean, but low key.

My partner got the non-veg thali which comes with one veg curry and two meat curries so he got the chicken curry, lamb curry, and shahi paneer. Both thali came with veg, naan, rice, raita, onion, and gulab jamun. They gave us a generous about of naan which was nice. I loved all the curries but felt they weren't as flavourful as other restaurants I had in the past - but still very good. We actually had the takeout at a nearby park and there was no cutlery or napkins included so we had to make make-shift cutlery from the aluminum foil that was used to house the naan. Service was nice. Would love it if they had a thali option to dine-in instead of just take-away.

Let's just say I wasn't blown away or nor was I not satisfied. It got the job done, perhaps I'm not familiar with this particular type of Pani puri, it came with a lentils. I was looking for that tangy taste and I found it to be bland unless I used more chutney. The place does have many other options which I hope to come try another day including their chai.

There were many options available to order, which included appetizers, main dishes, and desserts. Since we had already eaten lunch, we were looking for a quick snack. My children decided to settle on the Nutella sandwich, which came with a side of plain potato chips. The Nutella sandwich was grilled, with a hint of Indian spice that tasted nice when mixed with the Nutella. The potato chips on the side was a good option, as the salty/sweet combination was wonderful on the tongue. The price was a bit steep ($6.99 plus tax) however, it was a nice snack after a large meal. The place itself was a bit small as well however, we had enough room. Service was great, and the server was attentive. Would try another item next time around!

I guess now is the perfect time to review this place. First visit : We ordered Veg korma and Paratha. It was perfect because they took our order quickly and boom we get our order after 45mins but they promised it would be ready in 20. I still wanted to give this place another try since they were short staffed and service was not great. Second visit : We ordered Mysore Dosa, Mysore Masala dosa, Masala Dosa, Plain Dosa and Fish fry. I have to give it to them that the food was good and tasty. But what was familiar was the wait time. It took a long time to get our food. Third visit : We got everything above, as well as chicken curry, fish fry and this time we said we will come after 45mins. The owner said come after 1hr 30mins. I agreed but asked to make sure it will be done by then. Any guesses when did we got our food? 2 hours! This time they were fully staffed and had no reason for the wait. The owner said we make everything fresh. Does that justify 2 hours wait time? NO. I am giving them 3 star purely on food taste. Every time I ordered, the food was good, but the experience of ordering and waiting wasn't. Even people dining in were mad and some of them walked out. All I can suggest is to please make sure you guys have enough staff and if you are giving a certain time, abide by it.

Everything was clean, and the seating was comfortable. There were TVs at the front which depicted the menu, along with a physical menu which was given to us at the table. The food didn't take too long to come, which was good as we were hungry. The butter chicken was nice however, it was a bit too creamy for my liking. It also was a tad too spicy for what we were looking for. However, the rice and garlic naan was delicious; we gobbled it all up!
