Well the drill skipped off the tooth, chipped the one next to it exposing the nerve. Furthermore, I was touching my tongue to the roof of my mouth so he could work. When the drill slipped it cut the underneath of my tongue! I went home & the pain was excruciating pain all night. Called them to ask for pain killer they said can't & we can a root canal on Monday, this was Thursday? Went to another dentist. Gave me a shot, 1 root canal, out of pain & ok. Use Brick Dental at your risk. i'm 74 yrs. old & have never given a bad review of a dr. or dentist. Lew, Brick, N.J. I have out of network insurance so was okay with paying the difference to be able to use Dr Nichols. However, during this year, I visited once in February for a cleaning and 1 cavity. I was billed over $600 dollars out of pocket with no detail of charges on the bill. I have had plenty of work done there prior to this and this was by far the highest bill I received. I called and asked for an itemized listing of everything I was being billed for - the staff was very short with me and sent the same bill - with no itemization. I paid the amount in its entirety back in May, 2024 and felt compelled to switch dentists due to the lack of transparency, only to receive another $400 bill with no detail months later - all this for a cleaning and a cavity and insurance!
