Their x-ray machine was broken one day asked us to come back the next day when it was fixed. We did that and then they told us we needed two different types of x-rays but the other machine was broken so we would have to come back again the next week.An appointment made three months ago and we show up at 9 AM on our day off and the orthodontist is not in and they claim to have tried to call us which they absolutely did not. If the insurance hadn't paid them completely already I would have switched orthodontists a long time ago! This office is a disaster

They have cancelled the appointment every month so far with an excuse every time and no back up dentists in the office to see him. The staff at Cuozzo Orthodontics is outstanding. Every person there is competent, knowledgeable and friendly. Additionally, the office runs like a clock. You sign in and they are ready for you. I've been a patient at this dental office for approximately 14 years, and until recently, I never…read morehad any issues. Unfortunately, that changed when my daughter needed care beyond a routine cleaning. She had her wisdom teeth removed in December. At the time of service, we were told the procedure would cost one amount. Later, I discovered that a different and higher amount was billed to my account, and neither the amount paid in the office nor the amount later billed matched the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from our insurance company. We were also charged an office visit fee for the post‑operative follow‑up appointment, even though we were advised multiple times that the follow‑up visit would not be billed. I've been calling the billing department since early January--over four months--to resolve these discrepancies. Each time, I'm told there is no office manager and that the billing department cannot get anyone from the office to return their calls. While waiting for my daughter during her appointment, I personally observed several front‑desk errors, including scheduling mistakes, the wrong chart being sent in with a patient, and a billing issue being discussed at the desk. These types of administrative problems are something I've only started to notice in recent years, which made the unresolved billing issues even more concerning. With no resolution and concern about being sent to collections, I ultimately paid the bill to protect my credit. As a long‑time patient, this was deeply disappointing, and I hope the office improves its administrative organization, billing transparency, and communication.

So let me tell you... I had an ortho emergency, as in, during a trip back east, I may or may NOT…read morehave eaten something that was heavily frowned upon by my orthodontist... However, as luck would have it, something broke off, and I had a wire digging into my gums... Can I tell you how NOT sexy that is when you are bleeding from your gums?? So I figured, I need to find an ortho and it should be a simple fix... How wrong I was... Nobody wanted to even look at my teeth, because "not the original Orthodontist who did the work..." I offered cash (who doesn't like cash these days??!!) and nobody would do it... Not scheduled to be home for another two weeks, I almost contemplated running to Lowe's, buying a pair of metal cutters (or a hammer) and snipping off the brackets myself... Enter, Dr. Chung... Can I tell you his bedside manner is EVEN better than my doctor back home?? He told me the difficulties that could persist, but would take a look and see what he could do... Not only did this guy contact my ortho, speak to him directly, get permission to view my file / x-rays, he fixed me right up... To top it off, he absolutely refused, REFUSED to accept any form of payment... Floored... I don't know what to say, except for the fact that beyond humbled by my experience here in Jersey... Side note... Cleanest office I have ever been in... I would contemplate eating off the floor if i dropped something... Some places the 5 second rule is not applicable... Not here...
