The campgrounds are well maintained, roads are gravel and each permanent trailer spot has a good size plot of land. You feel comfortable enough to spread out a little and enjoy. As a community people are friendly and there are lots of families and the sounds of laughter and general good mood. The facilities include a splash pad that is extremely impressive, a heated pool, a playground, a natural pond, a hot tub, a picnic pavilion, a general store, a volleyball court, a basketball court, horseshoe pits, an outdoor chapel, walking trails, activity rooms and children's activities on the weekends. For weekend campers they also have washrooms in site. This is a great campground.

Second, there was no actual office at all, only for staff. And this was only discovered after my fiancé walked the entire road down there from our campsite. Third, the food truck was extremely expensive, the food didn't taste very good at all, and the beach store was closed the whole time. Fourth, because we were next to the washrooms, we could hear the bathroom doors slamming closed all night long, and people talking, all past quiet hours. Fifth, the firewood they sell at the camp store doesn't burn at all and we could only start a fire by buying firestarters.. Lastly, there is no proper sidewalk for pedestrians to walk if you do not have a car or bike, so it felt very unsafe... The best part in all this was the camp store and the showers. Showers were close to the campsite walking distance which is really nice and the camp store was open great hours and had everything. All in all, I don't think we would be camping here again. It was nothing like we expected.

At the campground, the lots for trailers are a nice size and have electricity hook ups. They have a metal fire pit too. There is a nice field to play anything you want at plus bathrooms with showers at both ends. There is a store selling goods plus wood, but it closes early, even on a Saturday. It's pitch black at night with no lighting so make sure you bring a flashlight. Enjoy!

A year after the sale, we are now dealing with this. They wouldn't mail us the reimbursement for the new ownership and instructed for us to come in to get reimbursed, which would have been more in gas. A big inconvenience. If you own within the park and your trailer is moveable, highly recommend to pull and do a private sale. Will save you thousands and will eliminate the risk that we are having to deal with.

I visited the Rockwood Conservation with the Toyota funded GRCA annual pass made available and free…read moreat the library. This conservation is roughly $7 at admission, but free for a vehicle full if you have the annual pass. The hiking trail features trees and trekked paths near the water over the glacial deposits. You can even walk by the water. The access for boat is very easy to get to, there is a parking lot nearby. The boating looks fun as there are mini lagoon like areas and even caves to explore, reminds me of a lagoon theme park. By the way for the non hikers there is a putting green at the entrance, price is for adult and child but there are leaves and debris and it's full sun. Definitely worth checking out. The GRCA charges for admission because it is not funded by tax payers.

Additional charges at every turn and all weekends are variations of 'bear' themes. Lucky you if that is your thing. Not only will you fight off the Bears in the woods, but many also have had to peel off the ticks. Neither are particularly pleasant or healthy activities. The horror stories I have heard about this place (mostly about the owner/operators), makes you wonder how these guys are still in business. They certainly do not deserve to be. This place deserves competition.... Somebody please open a campground!!!!!!
