I've known about this business for many years and never went in. Recently my podiatrist diagnosed that I had hammer toes, and frankly I never heard that expression before. But the need to wear shoes or sneakers which were properly fit and allowed for sufficient room for my toes to be extended, and not crushed, was critical. She recommended Brandy's, stating that many of her clients had bought shoes there and had good reports. Now I know why. I met Scott over the phone, and he was most informative. I'm not sure if he owns or manages the business but do know he is quite knowledgeable and shares information freely when fitting you for the appropriate shoes. He is upbeat has a good sense of humor and those are good qualities. Don't be turned off my the "old feeling" of the interior of the business, or the run down appearance of the strip center. It is not reflected in their inventory and quality of their shoes and sneakers, and certainly not in the professionalism of their staff,!specifically, Scott. Check them out. Haven't been to Brandy's shoes in a few years. Decided to spend some Christmas cash on a new pair of sneakers and wanted to shop locally. When we walked in, we noticed we were the only people in the store, yet the two salesmen totally ignored us. I saw a rack of new balance sneakers with my size and as soon as I grabbed them, I was confronted, snapping at me they are putting those out now. When I asked about the specific sneakers I wanted, the younger buck said well, that's it. Both were extremely rude - not like the old days. Guess the older generation that owned the store passed. Bought a pair of Naot sandals from Brandys through Amazon. Sandals leather tore after 2 1/2 months. Brands did not stand behind their product. Naot customer service would have honored warranty for defective merchandise. Brands wouldn't return their phone calls. Amazon eventually refunded my money. Do not buy from Brandys. I purchase a pair of Rockport Men's prowalker plus size 11 white. I put in closet. When I got them out I realize that the left shoe the sole had separated. Customer service told me that there was nothing wrong with the shoe and they would not exchange them. Well the right shoe is not separate. Clearly the need some one new in customer service. Their customer service through Amazon is terrible. Communication and follow-up is either non-existent or misleading. This is the kind of store that you do business with and will buy over priced shoes that were sold 4 years ago by the manufacturer. These shoes remain unsold on Amazon. While I purchased one color at a discount last year, magically the price increased. Discontinued and old styles should be reduced. The owner arbitrarily raises prices. Tried a few times by contacting them through Amazon and failed to get a response. Called and while a nice woman answered the phone and said she would have to speak with the owner, I never received a return phone call. Ordered through Amazon and received the wrong size that I ordered. Sent the shoes back and asked that the correct pair be sent out. The response was. "When we get the pair that were sent back". Shoes were received by the store and I asked that they send me the correct size. I was told the shoes were out of stock. Magically, the shoes were listed as in stock on Amazon. I purchased the shoes at the now ridiculous price. I'm not expecting much, but it will be interesting to see what shoes, color or size I'll be sent. This store assumes that you are older and won't realize the shoes that you received will not be what you ordered. My advice is to avoid Brandy's. Service is 0 for deceitefilness. Selection is 0 for old discontinued shoes that they get from a brand/company and sell at higher prices in their store or online. Value is 0 because their prices change like the stock market. Terrible company.Paid $ 20.00 extra for shipping and they arrived 3 days late. I returned the same day and they only refunded $ 66.00 of the $103. I paid.Amazon was great and refunded some shipping but I'm 72 and never had it problems before and needed the full amount. I am rating this store as a 1 due to the company being dishonest. I purchased Easy Spirit shoes as a gift for my Mom. It was easy to see they were a knockoff. The inserts in the shoes were so thin, not secured, and had slits in them, the label that said "Easy Spirit" on the inserts looked like it had been hand sewen, and the box they came in should have been thrown away it was so flimsy and had strange labels on it. I called Easy Spirit corporate office, shared pictures and what the shoes were like and she said that is definitely not a shoe they would put out. They are NOT a trustworthy company!! read more

I have seen commercials for this store and since I was nearby, I stopped in. I was expecting a warehouse but its a normal shoe store with just samples on the floor and you need assistance for your size. The selection is for elderly patrons, both men and women. No selection for those aged 60 and under. Mainly sandals for those with janky toes. No boots or booties. read more

I just got the last pair of bone color sperries and they shipped them to me here on the west coast of Fla. Worst customer service ever!!! Families with children are definitely not welcome in this store. Walked in there Saturday afternoon with my 3 boys and their Grandpa, who had been a customer for years. Not one sales associate acknowledged us. When a sales associate did acknowledge us, after looking at my children in an offensive manner, she said, "What do you want", with this disgusted look on her face as if we were bothering her. Did not get this sales associates name, she was older, probably 50's and red flushed in the face. There were only 2 other customers in the place on a Saturday afternoon, and with this type of customer service I can tell why. I had a great experience buying my elderly mom 2 pairs of supportive shoes. I went to Brandys because a local medical supply store recommended them. When my mom and I entered the store, a saleswoman named Diane greeted us and assisted us in buying my mom a pair of good quality shoes and a pair of supportive open toed sandals. Diane was so patient with my mom who takes a long time to get around and get her shoes on/off. Diane assisted my mom in trying several pair. Finally, we were satisfied with 2 pair and we bought them. We were there today before store opened. There was a guy hanging around the front of the store smoking, who turned out to be an employee (the manager?) who opened the doors. We assumed the store was open and so entered the store. The man muttered something at us; I said "pardon?" and he says "forget it." That was our greeting. He then proceeded to help the customers who came in just after us--never having acknowledged us at all or telling us to look around--just blew us off. After more than 10 minutes of no contact, we left, went elsewhere, and found the exact New Balance shoes I was looking for at a better price and no attitude. The prices at Brandy's seemed high to me--marked way up so they can mark them down a bit. I walked in looking for a good pair of walking shoes. I looked around for 10 minutes or so. NOT ONE of the 3 salespeople ever said "hello", "I'll be right with you", or acknowledged me in any way. I was recommended to come here by a friend whose husband had a wide foot. It is very hard to find a true wide shoe in most stores. I came here and yes they are expensive but these shoes are worth every penny! They carry wide widths and shoes that are made for comfort. There are Italian made shoes as well as SAS shoes. I am working a retail job now and wanted something comfortable for walking and standing. They showed me a pair of New Balance which felt great. Much better than what I was wearing. I was also recommended to buy inner soles with an arch support. They were well worth it! I couldn't believe the difference. I am very happy with my decision to check this store out and to get such wonderful service. They also specialize in diabetic footwear. I recommend you come here if you need truly comfortable shoes. When I first bought shoes here I was 19 and the shoes were a good quality but finally wore out. I thought I would go back and look for the same thing. The sales woman that helped me insisted I needed a much wider shoe then I usually wear. And no matter how many times I said I didn't like the style ,they did not fit right . No real variety as advertised, quite limited actually. Most of displayed inventory is for show only and then they can order for you; which I can do online all by myself, cutting out this middleman. What bothered me the most and the primary reason I will not return to the store is because of the horrible attitude, lack of professionalism & courtesy. If you have allergies and happen to complain or even mention the dog that freely roams the store, you will be told to leave and take your business elsewhere. I purchased a pair of Naot white Sandal's from this Company. They sent me the wrong size sandals. Even the paperwork they sent with the Sandals, had the correct size on it. But the sandals sent were a different size. Before they would okay a Return, I had to take picture's of the paperwork, inside the sandals(to show size) and the box they came in. Took forever to get a Return Label, and then it took another two weeks before I received my Refund. Everybody knows it doesn't take that long to process. HORRIBLE customer service! Only four people in the store shopping and I waited over 40 mins for shoes with one pair the wrong color and the other with only one shoe in it. Three additional brands they never brought out. I kept asking for help and was very kind. Over and over the sales associate (Diane) got her food, kept disappearing in the back, helped other people, and would come out empty handed. She seemed very scattered and unable to focus on one task at a time let alone two. Then when I asked for the male associate to help me he said "Diane's not helping you? I can get them." I showed him three more pairs and he came back empty handed as well. As they walked to the back I could overhear Diane saying "I got her 4 pairs already!" Which was a lie, I had only seen two. I decided I had enough. As I left I expressed how disappointed I was to which the man replied "There's only two of us!" (At this time there were only 2 customers in the store, not hard to take care of) How rude! He should've said "Ma'am I'm sorry let me get you those shoes you wanted" like he should've done in the first place. I would've spent hundreds and wanted a few pairs, but since no one helped me and they were put off and ignored me when I said something I will never go back. What an absolute horrible waste of time and equally horrible experience! I have wide feet, and went there because I needed black dress shoes and was led to believe they have a huge selection, and actually measure your feet to custom fit you. Nothing could be further from the truth! They had two (count them..two) different brands of black lace dress shoes, and the salesman that waited on me was without a doubt the biggest BS'er I've ever encountered! First he gives me a 10 1/2 EEE Florsheim that was tight, and says "that's it, that's what we have, and when I mentioned that I thought they had a large variety as in their online ad, he wanted me to leave the store...really! Then he says "hold on, try this" and give me a size 10 (same shoe) and this one was too big. When I asked him "how could a 10 1/2 EEE be smaller than a 10 EEE", he avoids the question like the plague. In desperation, because I needed the shoes for an event that night, I bought them, but had to change back into my old ones that evening as my feet hurt so much! He never even measured me. I needed a Pair or 2 of the Velcro steps in the front with the round Toe that looks like Shoes that are for 75+ Seniors. Well that's what my Mom just started to wear about 6 months ago. She has a large Foot and wide with a high instep. There are not of choices in a 11 EEE FOR WOMEN. I had been steered to a Store in Pembroke Pines. My Mom loves her New Balance Shoes. Man, did Brandy's ever take care of their customer (me) today. I bought a pair of Keen Uneek shoes about 10 days ago (which are so cool), and without realizing it, I was given the wrong size. Long story short, I realized I had the wrong size after wearing them while on vacation for a day and a half. Upon my return, I visited Brandy's and let them know they gave me the wrong size.
