Stopped in today to get some Birkenstock, and Brian, the owner, was super helpful. He's like a Birkenstock wizard! And the store has every type of Birkenstock you could want. But I totally get what other reviewers said about Brian. I feel like he's a little over enthusiastic and willing to help in a good way but also one that could put some people off. When I walked in I was looking at the boxes for the type of Birkenstock I was looking for, and Brian basically dissuaded me from doing so and suggested that I grab a model from the wall and bring it to him for him to bring me a box from the back. I did that and Brian quickly brought me several boxes, and one of the boxes was my size. I actually really enjoyed that level of service and it made my shopping experience really quick. But I also knew what I type of sandal was looking for. I guess if you want to leisurely look around you might feel pressured by that. read more

I had a sub par experience with the proprietor yesterday.... I've concluded that the proprietor has been successful, (very much so) doing what he's done and acting as he does because the store is successful. I get it.. Other than soul growth, there's little reason for him to video himself for example and sit down and go thru a process of self evaluation. But there is something to "soul growth", and when one deals with the public, one gets the opportunity to be one's best or worst self within each and every encounter. In short: the largest selection of Birkenstock's in broward county! I've been coming here for about 7 years for their Birkenstock selection. My arch is nonexistent and their classic clog is the only shoe I can wear as a registered nurse. Brian is the owner... I believe he has owned this spot for over 20 years. He is super helpful, always friendly and very knowledgeable about all of his products in the store. They also carry the European bran Finn comfort as well. Besides work shoes, I have also purchased sandals for myself as well. By far the most comfortable sandals I own. You truly get what you pay for in this scenario. Birkenstock's have a bad rap about being functional and not stylish. Well he has many sandals that are not only super comfy but cute as well. The selection is excellent, without a doubt, but don't expect to just come in and shop at your leisure. There's no pressure to buy, of course, and no one immediately harasses you.... until you touch a box. They expect you to bring your choice of shoe to the front, for them to then specifically set aside a box with your size for you, rather than you just finding a box/size for yourself. I'm still not really sure why they do it this way, because it's just added hassle for them and you, but I was very rudely scolded for simply opening a box that was sitting out on a rack, instead of letting them find the box for me. ... Frankly, if you don't want customers touching or opening boxes, then don't have them out all over the store. read more

I recently had the worst time at the Birkenstock shop that is 20 minutes away from my house.I went there with high dreams of getting some new shoes, but the door was locked and the windows were dark. To my surprise, the store had closed three hours before the time they said they would. Let me tell you, there's nothing like the sadness and anger you feel when you go to a store only to find out it's closed without giving you any warning. It's clear that the Birkenstock store doesn't care about their customers' time or how easy it is for them. The lack of expertise and care shown by this business is just not good enough. How can customers trust a store to have good items and reliable service if it can't even keep to its own hours? Also, the fact that there is no sign at all that the store will close early is very unsettling. It's as if they thought people would just know that their closing times were all over the place. A simple notice on their website, at the door, or even a phone call would have saved me the wasted trip and annoyance. Because of this, I'm going to stay away from this Birkenstock shop like the plague. Why give money to a business that doesn't care about its customers or follow basic business practices? There are lots of other shoe shops that care about their customers and are open when they say they will be. In the end, my trip to the Birkenstock store was a complete waste of time. This terrible one-star review is due to the fact that they closed early without giving customers any notice or caring about their time. A unique joint that sells only Birkenstock's. The owner is proud of his product and allows you the time and space to try the iconic product. For me, the sandals HURT my fat little foot. I'm not willing to invest over $100 to wait and see if the pain goes away. Owner is throwback to a simple time before computers. Great service! Brian helped us pick a his/hers set of new birks. This guy is super friendly and really knows his birks. He was nice enough to charge my phone on his own personal charger and was patient with us while we wandered through the store. We came to confirm sizing for my boyfriend since he wears between a 13 & 14. While here, he got to try on a bunch of different types and sizes and found the perfect pair! I jumped on the bandwagon and got a second pair, and I'm eyeing others! Highly recommend trying them on in person at a Birkenstock store, but if you're in the area, come here!
