Mr. G's Flea Market is a large outdoor Flea Market with at least as hundred stalls selling used and…read morenew goods and those selling fruits, vegetables and things to eat and drink. We always would go around the outdoor stalls in the morning when we got there and making the big circle around the grounds. Then, it was getting warmer so we went inside for the other vendors. I would always get the fruits and vegetables I couldn't get in my local grocery stores such as Japanese squash that is so good in Albondigas and caldo de pollo. Then it was about lunch, so I'd go bythe stalls that served food to see what looked good. I always got an agua fresca to go-usually, mango or watermelon, if they had it. There is a minimal charge for parking and can get super busy with a line baking down the road. The parking charge is fast and you get in quickly or go before the rush. I definitely recommend going to Mr. G's Flea Market. It is always a good time looking and finding things you want, and lunch is cheap and delicious plus, since it's so large, I call it exercise so it's a great day on all fronts!!

It's like all the souvenir stores all in one place. The prices aren't bargains here. They are about the same and more. Nothing really caught my eye. Heres the bad: A lot of prepackaged food products under the sun without covering. Stay away from that. Melted vitamins n candies. No fda approval anywhere. So many vendors buy from good will or any drift stores, don't even remove the tags. For example. Guy bought poor looking cups at $1.98 n tried to up price it at $20. I ell him he bought for $1.98 and they weren't even polished just heavy damaged. No price negotiations i left it. (Important notes: i know the value of metals in the current economy, the value of items n got a phone on hand to do research on the spot to come into a fair price. I do not support gaugers) A lot of products on the mud! Holy crap! It's crazy how much clothes n toys on the. Mud! Place is hella huge! Some vendors in the mud, there is a paved road in main areas but like i said nit every vendor in pavement. Did i mentioned hot as hell? Bring umbrella and some snacks n drinks. Farmers side parking closes at 4pm, park on flea side. But i think u can just drive across. Since i like to end in good notes; Its huge!! Lol Can find anything Has bathrooms, some vendors offer food n drinks. BRING A SPANISH SPEAKING FRIEND!! (Im bi lingual mom knows like 4, kindness is your go to card no matter what) Mostly wheelchair friendly, i say that with the notion that the pavement ends at the entrance at most the vendors i saw. Just a fyi, bring a buddy. FREEE PARKING. And to end this, place isn't for fancy types. I grew up with these types of markets n i love adventure! So i blend in just fine. The flea market is only open Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday only. If you have a group of friend like to shop, I would said gather their request and share the wholesaler prices. Definitely worthwhile. The wholesale section is at the east side. The entrance is different. You can drive your car there and load your groceries in the trunk. The flea market has distribution retail price. Their price also cheaper than the supermarket. This flea market has food truck and more. We enjoy the fruit cup, tamales and grilled mojo chicken when we were there. Parking is available.

We never would have found this market on our own…read more Off the main road, you have to drive on a winding dirt road until you reach the parking lot. They charge a dollar to park. Due to the timing, not all the booth spaces were occupied. We spent about a half hour walking around checking out the folks that were there. There weren't many folks shopping. The vendors are on grass and dirt. You have to be a bit careful walking around as there are many dips and holes in the ground. There was one produce vendor. We got some lovely huge radishes from them for only $1. Most of the other vendors were clothing, tools and accessories, jewelry and a couple household items. One vendor had a mix of antiques, junk, and collectibles. I did find a gal selling some miscellaneous items on a side table -- just to get rid of them at 50 cents apiece. From her, I bought a lovely sheesham wood box that had been spray painted silver. I'll use this for an art project. I also got a pretty silver and black bracelet. So, two bargains for just a $1. They're only open certain days. So double check before you make the trip. I imagine in season -- and not after a holiday -- that there are more vendors, and it would be more worthwhile. I'm still glad we got to go. Always like checking out the different markets and thrifts.

Market Elaine only happens first Friday of every month from 5 pm to 9 pm. I actually like the vendors shop. They are many specialty. It include bake good, coffees stand, clothing, accessories, jewelry, dog food, pet store, arts, candles, candy, plants, and more. The market occupies Wesley Grove Blvd. and Coconut Palm Lane. Parking is easy that surrounded the compound. I like to go to Double Branch Brewery and get a go cup beer and walk around the vendors shop.

You just need to be discerning and don't have high hopes for nothing but glitz and glamor. We have purchased some fruits and vegetables, which we have not complaints about. We also have purchased some beautiful healthy plants at reasonable prices, as well as some "garage sale" type items that saved us from having to traverse neighborhoods looking for said type items. They do have vendors that sell miscellaneous "junk" and we have bought a few items from them as well. This may not be a place for the bougie, albeit we did see some booths with bougie (in our minds eyes) items for sale. Even though we have been here a few times I still don't think we have traversed the entire property. There is just so much and so many booths. We'll be back again. I can say the first 2 buildings look less active when you get back to D is where you start seeing more open spots. I was out looking for comics and figures. I did see a couple pretty neat stores but unfortunately not open. I was on a bit of a crunch so couldn't stay long but closer to 9am i found some good stuff as i was walking out. Parking was a disaster; between the outdoor church services in the nearby park, and all the exercisers, I was just driving down the street to leave when somebody pulled out and I got their spot. After walking around to the back of the building, there were four vendors set up. I thought - is this all there is? - and then finally I noticed people were using a different back entrance to gain access to the actual flea market. Directional signs would be a major plus next time! Inside there was an excellent selection of vendors, piled far and wide into narrow rows. I would have loved to have spent more time perusing, but it got so crowded so quickly, it was impossible. One trip through and I was done. If you don't like crowds, this is NOT the event for you. One final thought - please, for the love of all that is holy, leave your strollers and your pets at home. Carry your babies, or don't bring them, but there was certainly not enough room for the overwhelming number of carriages and the mass of humanity that filled this tiny space.

I also liked historic neighboring buildings that are starting to get repurposed as the area starts to blossom. Next door is a custom woodwork and furniture shop. They also do laser engraving and stencils. Woodshop classes. Hidden Springs Ale Works is next door on the other side. It is a newish brewery spot and tasting room in a warehouse space. The Heights YMCA, Carnegie library building, Waterworks Park and Ulele Restaurant, Cafe Hey, Oceanic Oriental Market, and Cafe Hey are also nearby. The indie vendors are the main attraction at the Indie Flea. Several crafters of leather goods, belts, purses, bags, a lovely smock and bag maker, Dark Cycle and other local t-shirt and clothing design companies, some cake and donut vendors, a few food trucks, candles, soaps, wreaths and succulents, cards, vintage items and such as well as good people watching. Disney Springs / Downtown Disney this ain't. These hipsters are fashionistas!!! I wore my best Americsn Apparel vintage tee. This is a great project by community minded peeps. Buy local. Love local. Live local. And fight Mayor Buckhorn's TBX highway expansion that will decimate, destroy and divide these historic neighborhoods once again in favor of suburban commuters and Buckhorn's big business construction buddies.

TIP - Bring cash!…read more I've heard about Swap-O-Rama in the little town of Webster for quite a while now, and I finally had the chance to visit! They're only open on Mondays, which normally doesn't work with my schedule (lol). But with Memorial Day falling on a Monday, we finally made the trip. It is also their busiest day of the year. We arrived around 9:30 a.m., though I believe they open as early as 7 a.m. Even though we stayed until around 11:45, we probably only covered about 1/3 of the entire venue. The place is big! Swap-O-Rama features both indoor and outdoor spaces, with rows and rows of vendors selling everything imaginable. From antiques, tools, clothes, electronics, collectibles, handmade crafts, plants, and household items. They also have an entire aisle of produce and fruits. We left with a couple pounds of grapes for just $2 and a decent-sized watermelon for $3. Once we got home, my husband sliced it up, it was sweet and delicious. There's no shortage of food here. We saw vendors selling: Fresh coffee and lemonade, Kabobs, Kettle corn, Corn on the cob, Hot dogs, beer and more. Swap-O-Rama in Webster is a fun day trip worth making, especially on Memorial Day. I am already making plans to go back next year.
