He suggested we drive to Loveland Pass, CO at sunrise, and even though it was fuh-reezing (it was February), it was SO much fun, and he made us feel super comfortable. He was really good at directing us (which we were both concerned about, because neither of us knew what to do in front of the camera), and it was just a fun, awesome experience, and gave us 100% confidence in Matthew for our wedding. For our wedding itself, which was in July, Matthew once again completely knocked it out of the park. He was simultaneously everywhere AND not at all distracting. The photos he took really told the story of that day, which is exactly what I wanted. He never missed a beat, and captured some of the sweetest and funniest moments throughout the wedding and reception. He snuck my husband and I out around 9 pm for some night shots, which turned out really unique. I expected to REALLY like maybe 10 or 20 photos total, but I honestly LOVE like 50-100. We've had soooo many people tell us our photos belong in a magazine. He's awesome to work with, easy to communicate with, and I promise you won't be disappointed if you book him. DO IT!

Having decided that Kauai was going to be our choice of island for our destination wedding, I…read morestarted searching for an officiant, hair and makeup stylist and a reputable photographer. Michael came highly recommended by several people I had contacted and he never let us down. From the moment we booked to the day of the wedding, he was there for us no matter what question or concern we had. we booked Michael for a good 7 hours that day. He captured every moment of our special day from my beautiful bride getting ready with the hair and makeup stylist, myself waiting patiently in the bar, to the ride to the private waterfall and then onto the beach and finally back to the St Regis at sunset. Natalie truly saved our wedding day in more ways than I can count, and we could not be more…read moregrateful for her! About six months before our wedding, we had to part ways with our original photographer, which was an incredibly stressful situation. I found Natalie through a Facebook group, and I will forever be thankful that she was available for our date. From the very beginning, Natalie was so empathetic, understanding, and reassuring. Her work is obviously stunning, but what makes her so special is that she is such a genuine person. She took the time to get to know us as a couple, listened to what was important to us, and was always incredibly quick with communication. She made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera and knew exactly how to talk to us, our families, and our friends to capture natural, genuine moments. And then she went above and beyond on our wedding day. We really prioritized finding vendors who had experience working with queer couples, people of color, and disabled people - whose portfolios aligned with our values and our wedding party beyond simply stating "all are welcome" on their websites - and Natalie delivered. I have never been comfortable or felt like *myself* in front of the camera because of my flat affect and rigidity (I'm neurodivergent), so I was particularly anxious about having "good" photos from our wedding day. But Natalie's warm demeanor immediately put my mind at ease, and I was blown away by how our engagement photoshoot went. Having (obviously) never planned a wedding before, my wife and I were a bit overwhelmed by all the decisions and coordination that go into making 100-plus-person party go off without a hitch, but Natalie helped us put together a custom timeline that somehow fit in plenty of photos with our large, loud, blended families, and even an extra photoshoot for my parents! She communicated with all our vendors in advance and kept the entire day running on time. She helped button our dresses and clasp our jewelry, helped us stay present and enjoy each moment while offering direction when warranted. And the photos... Wow. The level of detail and composition of each photo is remarkable and immediately transports us back to our wedding day. We look (and felt!) like we were living in a fairytale. Natalie captured our personalities and relationship so well, from the intimacy of our first look and "golden hour" to lots of laughter with our closest friends.
