Cody and I are both Texas natives so we were lost when it came to locations, dress attire- the whole thing. However, Larissa made this process as smooth as could be. Not only was she so beneficial in coordinating everything for us, she also took the time to truly know me and Cody through questionnaires and authentic conversations. During our shoot we spent the afternoon having fun while snapping candid photos (which in our opinion, is the best!) Overall, we swell with pride and gratitude everytime we look at our engagement pictures. This wasn't a job that was taken lightly by Larissa and we love her so much for that. She understands and values every single vision that you have while intertwining her professional expertise. Last but not least- our final pictures! (I am happy dancing while I type this) We are over-the-moon about them! What I appreciate the most about her amazing craft is that she took the time to capture Cody and all of his features equally as much as mine, which I find to be rare during engagements sessions. I can't wait to show our future children, grandchildren and so on how handsome he was/is through these pictures. If I could turn back time I would high-five my past self for booking with Larissa. :-) In fact, as soon as we wrapped up our session Cody looked at me and said, "She has to do our wedding photos!"

From the first moment, she was so helpful and easy to work with. She had this great questionnaire to fill out to get to know us as a couple, and while I am normally not a fan of questionnaires this one was so fun and we genuinely learned a few new things about each other! She took care of absolutely EVERYTHING leading up to and during the shoot, down to helping me choose which hat to wear (which she was totally right about!). And then during the actual shoot she made us feel so comfortable and natural. We do not normally take a lot of pictures but she made it easy and fun and we were laughing the whole time. She truly captured who we are as a couple! The photos are absolutely stunning and we cannot wait to share them with everyone and get them printed! We would 100% recommend Larissa and We, The Light Photography to anyone getting married, especially anyone who is looking for a fun adventure wedding. Trust me, you will be so happy you did!! We can't wait for her to capture our wedding next! Thank you Larissa!

Amidst planning our Colorado destination wedding from our home in Wisconsin, my husband took a job that relocated us to Seattle, 4 months before our "big day". To call it complicated is an understatement. But among our chaos we found Jessica, whose warmth emanated from the moment we met her. She was calm, confident, and capable throughout the planning process and helped us find our focus. Her communication before the wedding was just the right amount to keep us excited about our photos, but not overwhelmed. When our day arrived, Jessica was the perfect presence. She guided our guests and us in a gentle, thoughtful manner into position for pictures and captured many candids. After our ceremony, Jessica, my husband, and I drove to different sites in Rocky Mountain National Park that Jessica had selected to take portraits. She captured the most incredible memories for us. The time we spent taking pictures before the reception was my favorite part of the day, because Jessica made it feel like it was just my husband and I, savoring our first moments as a married couple. A few weeks after our wedding, we received our photos from Jessica. She is truly an artist. We are thrilled with the moments she photographed and the beautiful light she captured in each photo. The pictures turned out better than I could have imagined. We would recommend Jessica to our closest family and friends, and hope to work with her again for future milestones. Thank you for everything, Jessica!

When I stumbled on Jackie's blog, I got literal chills. She was perfect! The best anywhere! I had never seen such genuine emotion captured so well in photos. I teared up looking at photos of people I had never met. Our whole experience with her and Matt was unbelievable. We were immediately comfortable with them. We felt as though they truly GOT us, without knowing us long at all. They are loving, empathetic humans with an uncanny ability to seek out the fleeting moments that mean the most. Our wedding was very small. We had 55 people in the islands with us for 6 days of activities. Jackie and Matt came into our small, mighty group and captured more then I even thought possible. The love, laughter and magic of the occasion JUMP off of the images they took. I have had the photos back for over a month and still can't stop looking at them every night. They told the exact story of how each person felt that day. Not a glossy, posed version of the truth, but how it actually went. It was imperfect and loud and colorful and emotional and real...and they captured it all. Also - the way they present the blog posting and the website itself might have been the best part. It was so easy to share the story and the memories with the people who weren't there and the people who were. The sharing part of all of these could have been a absolute nightmare...but their technology made it sooo easy. Even all of our professional photographer friends were highly impressed with the website and ease of downloading and sharing the images. My Yelp profile pic is one of their shots!
