We had fun creating a nice design and planting lots of awesome trees and bushes. Fast forward 17 years and all those little trees and bushes are fully mature. One of our trees is an olive tree. It was fun to watch it grow; however, one of its limbs shot up faster than the rest of the tree to over 20 feet tall. It was also growing over the fence into my neighbors yard. About five weeks ago, Sacramento saw some of the highest winds in recent history. The maximum recorded speed was 65 mph. That was enough to completely blow our backyard wood fence completely to the ground. With the fence down, I took the opportunity to do some major trimming of the backyard trees and plants. The olive tree, however, was just too high for me to feel comfortable about climbing up and trimming. I decided it was time to call a tree service. But which one? Yelp to the rescue! I did a search for tree cutting services in our area. It was pretty cool. Yelp found tree trimming companies and gave me the option to request quotes. So that's what I did. Four companies began correspondence through Yelp almost immediately. Christian, owner of Spartan Tree Service, was the first to make an appointment with me. He showed up at our place in less than an hour and gave me a quote.
