Absolutely recommend! First off this boutique salon is perfectly located in Santa Monica & also beautifully overlooking the ocean. But the hairdresser, Maurice, is by far the best I've ever been to! In this weird wet/humid weather, I needed help treating frizz with my thin hair. Maurice customized my Brazilian blowout treatment that's lasted for months now and completely smoothed out my waves. I was so impressed with the results, I went back to see if I could do curtain bangs. Maurice was fantastic taking his time to make sure my hair could handle the shorter length and walked me through the whole process as well as how to style. I booked hair and makeup services for myself and bridesmaids and mother-in-law here. It was time-intensive to book. It took nearly 50 emails to arrange 1 bridal hair/makeup, 9 hair/makeup appointments for one day. We confirmed prices: $110 for down styles, $150 for up. Unfortunately the owner did not honor that pricing in the contract, and broke trust. The hair styles and makeup turned out just fine for the most part and the salon itself is very charming and they allowed us to bring food and drink; however, the bumpy ride to get there was time consuming and frustrating. _______ UPDATE I've moved my star rating from 1 to 3 because the owner got in touch with me to apologize and resolve the charge discrepancy.
