Doctor Bral was my pediatrician as a very young girl. Thanks to him, my heart disease was handled and taken care of as a child. For years, many doctors would tell me I shouldn't have a baby because of the disease. But I remember how strong Dr Bral would tell my parents I was, how much faith he had in me and my health. Last night at bedtime, as I listened to my children talk about their day and list everything they love and are grateful for, they mentioned Dr Bral and his family and how they miss them. My son turns seven today and I thought about how lucky we are to have had the good fortune to know Dr. Bral. This summer we moved to another State and when we visited LA for a few days, I asked my children what they missed most and to list their favorite things to do in order of importance because we could not do everything they loved. My son said he would really like to see Dr. Bral and missed him and that was his number one choice. We were unable to make time for a visit during those few days and my son was very disappointed. I asked him why he preferred to see Dr. Bral over spending time with his friends, the beach and all of the beautiful places we could visit and my son replied he just wanted to spend time with Dr. Bral, he missed his kindness and when he spoke it was with a gentle and honest voice and he always answered questions and even though he was afraid of needles, Dr Bral made him feel safe and everything would be ok. My son loved how kind he is with children and made my son feel like he wanted to be a Dr. who takes care for children too. He said he loved him, enjoyed spending time with his family and always left their office with a warm and loving feeling inside for the rest of the day. My daughter chimed in with "me too" and they were both sad that we were leaving LA without seeing them again. I saw how important this was to them, we changed our flights and extended our stay so that we could make a visit to Dr. Bral possible. After our visit, we all left with a warm and content glow and the feeling that everything will be ok. This beautiful family don't just offer professionalism and an outstanding work ethic, they really care and it shows in their interactions with their patients and families. Seven years ago, I brought my infant son to see Dr. Bral and then my baby daughter, if I could I would travel back to LA for each checkup because I know my children are in good hands and they feel it too. read more

Dr. Bral has been wonderful, just the type of doctor you want for your newborn. He was recommended by my midwife because I wanted someone who would pace out vaccinations and we are so happy to have found him. It was easy to make an appointment, he takes my insurance and there are no yearly fees. From what I hear with my other mom friends is that most pediatricians are a factory and a zoo with kids everywhere and charge crazy yearly fees on top of what they get from insurance. It's not like that at all at Dr. Bral's. My son was born a little over a week ago and after all the fear that comes with the first pregnancy/labor/delivery... it's been so nice to have a Dr. who has such a calm demeanor. My son has a bit of jaundice and Dr. Bral has been great about checking in with us and assuring us he's okay. Dr. Bral has been my doctor since I was born and I still go to him regularly or call his office when I don't feel well to get advice. He is probably the most gentle and most patient doctor I have ever been to. I normally don't go to male doctors for anything, but I trust him with my life and I hope that I will be lucky enough that he will be the pediatrician for my kids. BEWARE! THE WORST DR EVER. I took my 10 year old son here yesterday for the first time. The doctor told him to sit on the bed, which he did. He checked his blood pressure, his heart rate, and then said lie down. He pulled up my son's shirt, which we thought he was going to listen to his heart or press on his stomach but NO! He put his hands in my son's pants and pulled out his penis. Right there without warning while his sister watched. My son was mortified. When we went home he said he wished he could go back and punch that doctor but he was too in shock at the time. He felt completely violated by this man and I feel horrible for not standing up for him. He should have never touched him without asking and definitely not in front of his sister. We have taken our 3 yo daughter there twice now and we are happy with his service. Our daughter likes the receptionist and the toys but is not so keen on the good doctor yet because she's had shots both times! She calls them "pinches" and the pain is gone in seconds. He seems very sensible about vaccinations (we are pro vax but at the right time), recommending some but not all. Due to a change in health insurance coverage, we are unable to continue with Dr Bral. Nonetheless, he told us we can still call him if we have questions or unsure of the new PD's recommendations when it comes to vaccines. My biggest regret is that I didn't find Dr. Bral when my children were born. After realizing the busy well-regarded pediatrician we had been seeing was no longer the right fit for my family, I found Dr. Bral on Yelp, of all places! My children needed annual visits, and Dr. Bral happened to be open on a holiday (which was a life saver for me). Walking into this office immediately felt different from other offices. The waiting room is small, so it's not filled with 6+ families. The whole staff is cheerful and helpful and it was obvious they cared about my kids vs just writing our name on a check-in sheet. Dr. Bral is a dream. I dare say our visit felt luxuriously long, he asked me so many interesting questions about the kids (vs reading questions from a list), and also took the time to notice their behavior and actually speak to THEM. He caught a heart murmur on my youngest and instantly recognized a skin condition that also hadn't been caught at our previous office. At 3 & 6 they felt so comfortable and happy during our visit. We have been back for several sick appointments now and it's the same every time. On top of that, the office calls later in the week to see how the kids are doing. I love the slower pace and more personal attention here. Dr. Bral gives me lots of easy lifestyle and wellness tips for my kids, doesn't needlessly push medication, and truly seems to marvel at the uniqueness of every child.
