Jeff was an absolute life saver. We were in town for only the weekend and my turbo blew up. Jeff and the team went out of his way to get the turbo delivered day of so we can get home on Monday for work and stayed after close until we got there. Jeff deserves a raise, best experience ever. read more

I made an appointment, which I strongly suggest based on how busy they were, to have my brakes checked before an upcoming road trip. I was honestly a bit hesitant based on the reviews as well as a personal experience from a friend, but there aren't many options in Kingman for brake service so I rolled the dice. My car was seen promptly in reference to my appointment, it took a little more than thirty minutes but again, they were busy. While sitting in the waiting area I overheard them do their best to see customers without appointments, even patiently dealing with an exceptionally rude woman that made her appointment for the wrong day. I suspect she knew she scheduled the appointment for the next day but had been unable to get an appointment she wanted, she came in looking for a fight, that said they were very professional in dealing with her and as much as it irked me that she believed she could bully people in that way, they did make room for car to be serviced, it was the right move as a business, but unfair for the employees to have to deal with her. Rant over, back to the service that I received, after the inspection Tim told me that my brakes were fine, practically new as were the rotors, I had nothing to worry about. As a woman I'm used to mechanics attempting to take advantage of me, especially at larger chain businesses, I was very impressed with the honesty. Tim pointed out a few things that I should service like my tires, which they don't do, they weren't trying to sell me anything just keeping me informed. There was no charge for the inspection, because of the honest business approach I will definitely be returning when I do need to have my brakes replaced. read more

I've been here more than once and they have always been fast, fair, and more than helpful. Tim recently gave me amazing customer service. Solid experience. read more

My Corvette needed a front end alignment and I made a appointment giving them all the vehicle information. They had a oil change special $29.99, but didn't stock Mobile1 oil or Corvette filters. I was told to bring in my own and they would do it. I dropped of my car with the oil and filter. When I returned I was told their alignment rack was designed for trucks and not sports cars and I was charged $33.00 for a $29.99 oil change using my own parts. I own 9 different car and if brake masters would of done the right thing, their business would be upped by 9 cars. Save yourself time and money, go somewhere else. read more

We came in for a free brake inspection cause the car was making a noise. They were quick and friendly and were done 3 hours before they thought they would be. About an hour after we left they called us back and told us that they had accidentally overcharged but they could fix it. I feel like this is above and beyond service and we will be back. Thanks Dan!!! read more

I have stopped here several times to get oil changes while driving thru Kingman, I made an appointment and even though they seemed really busy they stuck to the schedule. They even rotated my tires for me. Just really courteous, and excellent prices! read more

We use these guys regularly and the provider a good service with an array of coupons if you ask.

Over priced. Ok, my dad's car is beat up. This does not mean I need an over priced repair. 35 years on the service counter and turning a wrench. I know when someone is way overpriced. But I trusted them because I worked for the people who started the company after Winston Tire shut down. Took the car elsewhere and got the car on the road for 1/3 the price and an ASE Master Mechanic Certification is on the counter. Never again! read more

Today of all days my mission Sentra decided to take a poop on the hwy and needed a whole new transmission. The older gentleman with glasses (I forgot to get his name) help me and my husband so much and was nice enough to refer us to a dealership to do a trade since it was going to cost the same for a new car. He was amazing and so generous. I'm originally from California on my way to Maryland and got stuck here with my 3 babies, husband, my mom and grandma as well our 4 dogs. Thankfully he told us about ford and they are wonderful people here working with us. The mechanic even printed us out different dealerships around us and hotels around us. He was honestly a life saver with his knowledge. read more

Had a 10:30am appt. For a oil change, I showed up early . After about 45 minutes I looked outside and my car was still sitting in parking lot. 3 mechanics doing nothing but talking. Wi never go back. This is the second time I have had terrible service. read more

Excellent service! My husband and I were driving through Kingman, AZ and stopped at Brake Masters because our brakes started to make noise. Gary was extremely helpful with our car and even gave us some advice! Excellent customer service and very trustworthy! They had us on the road again after 2 hours and new brakes! read more

They don't have ASE certified MasterTech. Nobody there can show any credentials and the manager does not know anything about cars. I remember Dave the manager from Dodge dealer Dave Pitts and he almost put that business under. He's rude. And he over charges.... read more

This is the worst service that I have ever!!! experienced in my life!!!! they had my car since Saturday charged me. $1600 said that it was a fuel pump. I drove my car away from the shop for 10 minutes . I broke down with the same issues that it had when I dropped it off. They kept my car for 5 days and stated that it was the fuel pump. They put 4 different fuel pumps in my car only to tell me that it is an electrical issue that they have to purchase another fuel pump. And that it will take another day to fix the car. Greg, the mechanic, and David, the manager, are both very unprofessional and rude as hell and i'm not too sure they are even mechanics every time I ask what the issue was with my car? I was advised that they were not working on it that someone else was. I spoke with Tyler in corporated, who stated that they're gonna give me a refund because they don't know what's wrong with my car, and they don't want to spend any more time on it. This is now 5 days later. I would not recommend this place to anybody!!!. They are crooks and they don't know how to fix cars..They do not care about fixing your car, only getting the money and now I am stuck with no car and have to wait five days in order to get my money back to get it fixed.. I asked several several questions and just kept getting the run around now I'm being advised that my car can not stay on their property and that I need to get it towed. I have nowhere to get it towed, and I. Have nowhere to take it to get it fixed. I live 30 minutes outside of town... I had to walk with my 3 children 2 hours to get to the Main Street in order to even catch an Uber. I advised them of all this and they. Still, they had no compassion for my situation, only to advise me that they no longer want to try to fix my car. I would really like for someone besides Tyler to reach out to me to see what we can be able to do in order to get some professional people. At this shop, sone real Mechanics I also want to get reimbursed for the three days that I had to spend in the hotel. Why would they sit on my car for 5 days??!! Just to say it is an electrical issue and that they don't handle electrical issues and that I need to take it somewhere else I was treated so unfairly Disrespect and discriminated against they told me I need to get my car towed off there property By end of business day they did say they would Pay to have it tow somewhere else, only to find out that they never called the tow company because they owe the tow company and they refuse to pick up any more cars for them. Therefore, my car wouldn't be able to get picked up until the next day. Worse experience of my life Ever!! Part 2.. Called and spoke with David Pitts I asked him to please provide me a summary of the work that was done on my vehicle sent Saturday and this is what he sent me (Warranty Fuel Pump Made multiple attempts to repair vehicle. Unable to get the vehicle to run properly. Referred Customer to Dealer ship for further diagnostics. Refunded Customer $1579.32 from original repair ) ..I then called back and Advised him that I would like a complete breakdown of what was done on my vehicle and that this in voice does not reflect that. He then stated that this is all that he is going to provide me and hes not sending me anything else. read more

Typical out of town story. I literally coasted in. They had me up and going within 2 hrs. Replaced a belt and idler pulley. Actually seemed happy to help us, not put out . Also, the charge was very reasonable. I'd use them again read more

I have always taken my vehicle here for repairs. I have not had issues in the past. This recent service was okay but the mechanic left loose bolts under my hood. Possibly left a tool too. When I left and turned the corner there was a loud clang and my hood was not latched. I pulled over and noticed the bolts. So I went back the the store. The manger apologized and tried to make it right. I do understand that things happen but what I don't need is for the whole crew to stand there and argue with me on what I experienced! The waiting room is filthy and not a place I would like to wait in. The standards of cleanliness does not meet expectations of any public waiting area!! read more

We are SO appreciative of Gary and the crew at Brake Masters! We were on the road headed to Bakersfield when our truck started to make an unusual sound. I calles ahead and was told they would do their best to get us in before closing and while there was a little wait, we were able to get the truck checked out so we could continue our trip with much needed peace of mind. Because no problem was identified, there was no charge. We are so pleased with and grateful for the time these guys took to help us out late on a Saturday afternoon! read more

Unbelievable service!! We were staying at a nearby KOA when our back brake started sticking on our tow car when we drove it to dinner. We found this place and it opened at 7:40 am the next morning. We called them first thing and they told us to bring it right down. We did and they said the brake was frozen up and they needed an ok for 1/2 hour work at 70.00. We ok'd and heard back within 1/2 hour that they were all done and the cost was 74.00. We picked it up and on our way to continue our vacation without any time lost. Thank you so much guys!!! We are very grateful. Would recommend this place 100%. read more

My wife and I were heading home from a stay in Northern Arizona. 20 miles east of Kingman, our vehicle started to ride rough with the check engine illuminating. I was able to get into Kingman where I stopped at a local auto part store where they plugged their diagnostic reader in to the car. It indicated that #6 cylinder was misfiring. They sold me a spark plug and I drove the vehicle to Brake Masters across the road. Since I already found the issue, they also suggested to replace the Ignition Coil on the spark plug. I purchased all the parts at local parts store, but they were not able to complete the repair since it was late in the day. They mentioned to leave the car and they could start it first thing in the morning. We checked into a hotel across the street and left the vehicle. To change the spark plug and ignition coil, one basically has to disassemble the top of the engine. They quoted 1.9 hours for the repair, but it ended up taking 3.6 hours. They completed the repair, ran the diagnostics to clear the "check engine light," and road tested the vehicle. They honored the initial quote and we were back on the road. When one's vehicle breaks down nearly 300 miles from home, a lot of uncertainties run through one's mind. Brake Masters kept us updated and the work they accomplished was actually better than the work one would see by a dealership mechanic. They promised to get us back on the road as soon as possible and they were true to their word. read more

These guys saved my road trip! We were on our way to Sonoma, when I heard a loud scraping noise under my car. Pulled over to Brake Masters and they helped me remove the dust cover that was dragging under my car, free of charge, during their lunch hour. The two men helping me were so kind. Grateful to them! read more

Well, I went to brake masters for an oil change three weeks ago They did inspection on my car they told me that my car is in great shape for the year and that all I needed really done was a brake flush. Great I was so happy. Three weeks later today march 12 I came in for my brake flush and the guy told me I had eight things wrong with my car adding up to over $5000 I told him I was here three weeks ago and they never mentioned any of this I just happen to have my receipt with me where they gave my car a clean bill of health I only have driven this car twice since my oil change three weeks ago so now I'm very skeptical of what the truth is. I will not be coming back here ever again. Took three hours just for a brake flush. And the last time it was an hour and a half for an oil change. And if you're making an appointment, they won't honer that time slot . It is what it is won't be going back read more

This place deserves high ratings. We were on a road trip from California to Arizona and our car overheated near Needles, CA. We got our car towed to a local body shop there where they charged us an arm and a leg for some coolants. We then continued our journey and the engine overheated again at Kingman, AZ. We pulled to Brake Masters. We told Gary what happened and he took care of us. The mechanics looked at our car and took it for a test drive. Everything was fine and they sent us on our way. Gary was such a kind person that he didn't charge us unlike the shop in Needles! Thank you so much Gary for being the light in our other crummy day! read more

Best place in Kingman for oil changes and other car repairs. Eric the service writer takes care of you and keeps you informed on the status of your car. Great experience here at this location. My boyfriend and I were driving cross country when my car broke down about 1.5 miles away from this location. They went above and beyond even when the store was about to close to make sure we could get back on the road safely and make it to our next stop (Vegas), when there was a high chance we would have been stuck in Kingman for 2 nights instead waiting for parts. Probably some of the best customer service we've experienced at an auto body shop in a while! Good prices too! read more

Worst place i could possibly go. I had asked for them to check my breaks because they were squeaking super bad. Took them about 3 hours, later they had said that brakes were trashed and put all the parts in a box and i had to drive with no brakes in the back. Later they said it was $520 to fix and said that's the best offer in town. Taflans is doing for close to $400 go to Taflans' auto shop instead. Glad they didn't charge me for all that. read more

My girlfriend brought her vehicle here for an oil change during the oil change she was told that she needed all 4 brakes replaced immediately and that it would cost $200. call up for a price on brake pads and having them installed, get the car there and they add an extra 200 dollars once the wheels were taken off, now I see why everyone said to go elsewhere edit: when someone tells you to unscrew a 5ft antenna, unscrew it, don't bend it down and scratch the roof of her car with a mag mount, I will be contacting about the repairs you will be making read more

Stay far far away. First they offer a $17.95 coupon, but the oil change is $27. Then he locks my husband out of the car, by breaking the lock and doesn't repair. THESE PEOPLE ROYALLY SCREWED UP MY CAR!! I took it in for a simple oil change. They told me I needed an air filter and a battery, I told them I would change it myself. Shortly after the service, I needed to take a trip to Tucson. The morning I was leaving for Tucson (two days after the service), my car started to stall. I went to a local auto parts store and purchased a battery and the technician who worked there installed it for me. I proceeded to drive to Tucson. While driving on the highway, I didn't notice , but in slower traffic, I noticed my car was missing... like skipping... I arrived in Tucson, spent the night and the next day when I was getting ready to leave, I couldn't put it in reverse to back out. It kept stalling. (Mind you, my car only has 70K miles on it, one owner) I was lucky to be in the parking lot of my home office. I asked a co-worker to help me and check my fluids. He had a computer reader and hooked it up to my car. It indicated that my car was not running on all cylinders. He opened the hood, and noticed the airfilter holder was open and the air filter was out of its container and shoved in the side of the car (like squeezed in on purpose). Also, there was NO coolant. How I made it to Tucson, I have no idea. Also, the transmission fluid was low. Since the air filter was off and I drove through the Grapes of Wrath dust bowl on the way to Tucson, you could say my fuel lines were probably screwed. I went to Napa, bought fuel cleaner, ATF and coolant, and went on my way back to Kingman. Of course I got stuck in traffic. Car stalled 8 times. Probably could've been killed. Since, I have got a new air filter and been watching all the fluids, but the car keeps missing and stalling when I'm at a stop sign or even slow down below 5mph. Thanks to Brake Masters, I believe my engine is destroyed because they intentionally shoved my air filter in a crevice in the engine because I wouldn't buy one from them. I would have my 12 year old son work on my car before I would EVER take anything to them. BEWARE. read more

Worst experience ever. I paid them over $1000 to have my air conditioner unit fixed. It broke less than 18 hours later, even though I only used it for about an hour, and now they won't work with me to reimburse my money. They tell me the repair is out-of-warranty because of something they never informed me of, so I have to eat the cost of the repair. Additionally, my engine rattles when I start the car and when I accelerate, which is a problem that did not exist before going to Brake Masters. Repeated calls, messages, and emails to customer service have failed, and their corporate office representative, Timothy Harphant, does not seem to care what the situation is -- he merely takes a strict, hardline no-refunds policy. He has asked me to have a different company (Timothy Harphant suggested FireStone) repair the car and to have them contact Brake Masters to compare notes. Also, they asked for their AC compressor to be removed and shipped back to them -- except I, apparently, have to pay for the cost of both the removal, as well as the shipping and handling. They would not tell me how much money they would give back if I returned the compressor, or if there would be any usage fees or restocking fees or anything similar. Considering my experience with Brake Masters so far, I would not be surprised if they tried to squeeze even more money out of me. I'm sorry, but these people are freaking crooks man! read more

I set an appointment to have the oil changed in my Jeep. I say to the service writer on the phone I would like the $19.95 (5) quart oil and filter special. He said you get a free tire rotation also. I get there the next day and I am told then the in order to get the $19.95 special that I have to apply for a Brake Masters Credit Card. I explained that I didn't need another credit card. The new price with one extra quart of oil would be $47.00 and some change. I walked out the door and went over to Big O tire. Great service and 1/2 the price without having to get a credit card. On my family's trip to the Grand Canyon I got a check engine light on my truck. I pulled into the Walmart parking lot and started looking for local auto mechanics in Kingman. I called several places - each wanted to charge between $75 and $100 just to diagnose the problem. I was about to limp my truck to one of them when I saw Brake Masters across the parking lot. Fingers-crossed, I found their number on my phone and called. David, the assistant manager answered. After explaining what was going on, he informed me their diagnostic specialist was already off, but if I could bring my truck by he'd plug it into his machine and give me the error codes at no charge! That's what excellent customer service looks like! As it turns out, it was related to the intake heater- easy fix. Thank you, David- read more

This company should not be in business. They lie to you about what you need on your vehicle and they do not perform the work that they claim they do. I am contacting the attorney general's office, the BBB and channel 3 TV because they ripped me off, ruined my only transportation, ruined by business due to my no longer having a dependable truck, they lied to me, they put me and the general public's safety at risk because my front brake and then my back brakes were locking up and I now have proof from a mechanic.
