The selection is truly impressive, from literal Victorian clothing, to 1970's disco jumpsuits. My daughter found a gorgeous dress with a black tulle skirt and red satin rhinestone embellished sash for only ten bucks! But the real star of the show was the girl who worked there & I wish I'd gotten her name. She had short dark hair & was the sweetest, most wonderful young woman. She couldn't have known how much her kindness mattered, but it did. We have just moved here & my daughter is having a tough time, worrying about whether or not she'll fit in or be happy here. This salesperson was precisely the kind of person my daughter admires and we talked briefly about anime and video games and...maybe it didn't seem like much to her, but it meant a lot to us. This is s true thrift store - very little resale priced items that I saw. There are definitely bargains to be had here. Most items are priced very reasonably, and they have sales as well. From housewares to electronics, shoes, clothing and linens. Dishes, pots and pans, glassware. Art, collectibles and knick knacks. There is a little bit of everything in here. I found everything from like new ski wear, nice leather shoes, vintage ceramics, a couple cool tee shirts and all kinds of souvenir collectibles. The old man has since passed and he was nice and wouls give deals. The daughter and son have kept up some of the relationships with local tribal people. But the grandson is rude and has bad energy, did not show respect and was racist. Theres not too many places to get native cut abalone so it sucks to enrich folks that uphold supremacy.

Not meaning that the quality is poor, but the the pieces are generally small, lower in price and easy to carry away than the competetion on the other side of the plaza. While well made, I would categorize the selection as a bit "cutsie," which for me is a turn-off. After 30 minutes of browsing, I found nothing to buy, which is unusual for me. If looking for a gift for a student there, this is the place to come. But for more mature tastes, I would go elsewhere.

The owner had to be called over the phone to verify the price. I bought the bag for $44. It was only a week, and the zipper started breaking. I went down there yesterday and the owner was present. I told her about the problem with the bag, and she remembered the exchange about the original purchase, but she refused to give me the other bag in exchange for the broken one. her reason was that I had been incorrectly quoted on the price of the first one, and I was only to recieve credit for that part and would have to pay the difference which was $40 more dollars. In no way was any of this my fault, of course. The shoddy over priced merchandise, her pricing error, or her hapless teenage employee who was just trying to help. I still was getting screwed by this old snatch with an overpriced junk shop. I took my bag back and left, never to return. Maybe I can glue it.
