Was VERY disappointed..... after seeing all the raving reviews and hearing about their amazing…read morecustomer service (and most important to me, the fact that they do nothing before scheduling a consultation), I was looking forward to going to STRANDZ. I called on this past Saturday and was told to come in Tuesday or Saturday before 6:00 for a consultation. I decided to go yesterday (which was a Tuesday afternoon), so I left work early in order to get there no later than 5:30, as I commute and it required me taking 2 buses. When I got there, at 5:22, a young lady opened the door and told me they were closed, she was the only one there, and she would be unable to give me a consultation. I told her what I was told on Saturday and without apology, told me to come back tomorrow after 9:00 or Saturday at the same time. I was so disappointed that I just said thank you and left. Maybe I am just in my feelings, but I was really looking forward to my consultation and annoyed that I took 2 buses for nothing. The young lady was not unpleasant, however, she could have been a bit nicer and at least apologized for the inconvenience. Long story short, unsure about whether I will go back or not.

She's been braiding for decades, so she knows what she is doing. I came in for Senegalese twists, I have neck length natural hair, it cost me $125, with the hair included. It took her about 3.5 or 4 hours to do the twists, with a few short breaks in between, which I appreciate because I hate sitting forever. I got a ton of compliments on my hair, the twists look shiny and she did a decent job trimming the ends and making the twists looks smooth. There's another woman there who assists her, who toward the end came and helped finish. I appreciate that for the most part, she doesn't braid too tightly, however the caveat to that is that some of my twists at the nape of my neck and my "baby hair" area slipped out within a week. I had been pulling it up into different styles, which could have contributed but it's kind of embarrassing when your hair is on the floor. I think it just doesn't make sense to put twists on my baby hair in the front of my head, it just damages the edges, and slips out. But other than that, I just appreciate that I wasn't in pain the entire time. She had a Christian TV station or video playing the entire time, which I totally don't mind, and in fact, I appreciated. But toward the end it got annoying because the show shifted to some, racist, 45 supporter dialogue. Overall, I would definitely go back.

I've been a customer of SAB Hair Studio multiple times, spending a considerable amount of money with them, and was hoping to continue building that relationship. However, my recent experience has been incredibly disappointing. I've reached out multiple times via email and messages, trying to book an appointment and inquire about availability, but I haven't received a single response despite several follow-ups. For a business that I've been loyal to and have spent a lot of money with, this lack of communication is truly egregious. It's frustrating, rude and unprofessional to be ignored in this way, especially when I had intended to return. After this experience, I've decided I will no longer have anything to do with this salon and I will never recommend this salon to others.

Then I was told that the May 21st slot was taken. I requested my $25.00 back and surprise - no response. Another Black owned business that takes advantage of other Black customers. This was really poor business practice guys. If the May 21st appointment wasn't available then say it. Instead it feels that you're hard up for $25.00.

You stayed quite as a mouse and didn't utter a word abs now you are claiming you wanted to help. I gave you guys three chances to help! I couldn't believe she was suggesting me that after all I went through at her salon!! Yes I am crying yet again as I am typing this and regretting my visits to your salon! Yes my hair were so bad within two weeks that I had to cut my hair with heavy heart! You were blankly rude and offered no help yo resolve!
