When…read moreI walked in, there were three people already in chairs, and I was told someone would be with me shortly. Another braider was assisting someone else, speaking in their language, then suddenly gathered her things and came over to start on my hair.I clearly stated--both on the phone and in person--that I wanted s/m braids for $220. She started braiding without confirming anything. After four rows, I stopped her because the parts were big as hell, nowhere near s/m. She tried to argue with me, insisting they were s/m, which was obviously not true.Then, out of nowhere, one of the other clients getting braided walked over and started braiding my hair. At that point I'm thinking, what the hell is going on here. As she's braiding, she stops and says she doesn't want to "waste her time," basically asking if I liked my hair. No--I didn't. Because it wasn't what I asked for.I showed them a picture from my phone of the exact size I wanted. Instead of restarting like any professional would, she half‑adjusted the front to be almost s/m but still basically medium. Meanwhile, they're talking in their language, laughing, and acting childish the entire time.When they finished, the braids still weren't s/m. I told her I wasn't paying full price for something I didn't ask for. She responded with, "I didn't want to do your hair to begin with." That level of disrespect is wild. So yes--I disrespected her right back, paid what I felt was fair, and walked out.On top of all that, the salon wasn't clean. They had roaches, and the whole environment felt unprofessional, immature, and chaotic.Stay far away from this place. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. Those glowing Google reviews must be paid for, because my experience was the absolute worst.
