I've taken more than my fair share of yoga classes with a variety of teaches, many of whom are stellar - however, Jen is by far the best. She starts off the class with just the perfect thing to say to you midweek - something inspiring yet relatable in her cool soothing voice. Every class I've taken with her is different and every class is great. She mixes it up enough to keep you on your toes but as a regular one can pick up on her style, whatever that is. Her music choice also flows with her class and you can honestly tell she really cares and is having fun while teaching. I can't ask for a better yoga class.

I took weekly prenatal yoga classes with Sarah, Dee and Judi from 12 weeks right up until my water broke. Not only did these weekly sessions help with the physical afflictions that are inevitable with pregnancy (including my horrific sciatic pain), but they helped keep my mind in the right place and prepared me for labor in both body and mind. Hearing from and being around other pregnant women each week was comforting -- like a little mini pregnancy support group. I truly looked forward to these classes and still miss them today. Dee's Yoga for Labor class not only provided me with critical tips about how to ease the pains of contraction and pushing and keep my mind calm throughout labor, but gave my husband a sense of purpose and turned him into the most spectacular labor coach. The community that I found at Prana during pregnancy has become my mom community, too. We all have our babies now and support each other online and some still see each other in person, too. Do you know how many people travel out of their way to come to this gym? That right there just proves that not all crossfit boxes are created equal. The workouts are challenging and kick my butt and the people that I work out with have become some of my really great friends. To top this all off how many other gyms have mobility built into their programming. Fair warning: Crossfit is a commitment (you need time and a consistent showing to succeed)...The programming is well thought out and scheduled and requires you to show up regularly. You get out what you put in. One last thing: it's frustrating to see the post from Colette H especially because she has knocked the gym without ever stepping foot inside or trying one of our classes. Without knowing any context I can guarantee the owners were not rude. Unfortunately, programs fill up and are first come first serve and I'm sure they were just suggesting that you consider joining the next program.
