Greek Chicken Bowl
Rebeka M.

Stopped here for lunch over the weekend. I really enjoyed what we ordered. I got the Greek Chicken Bowl and my spouse got the Brahma Chicken Bowl. They came out as grilled chicken, rice, naan, and then each one had their own respective sauces that you mix into it (so the same base but different sauces). The chicken was tender and juicy, basmati rice was perfect, and the naan complemented it really well. The flavors were excellent, I think we both enjoyed the Brahma chicken bowl the best though. The space is unique with high ceilings and lots of nice natural light in the seating area. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was clean. The amount of food you get is a good value. We will definitely stop here again when in Chelsea.

Welcome to the neighborhood! It's great to have another option in our small town and oh what an addition! Fresh, made to order fare with a Lebanese flare. I'm especially excited for the breakfast burrito menu that we will try tomorrow morning, on our way to work. It will be great to have a nice quick breakfast stop on my trek. Wednesday dinner, I ordered the 'build your own' dinner with: falafel, naan/pita, caprese as a side, and toum for sauce. Toum is the traditional whipped garlic sauce. It has that sharp fresh garlic bite that will ward off vampires and even the most amorous spouse. Worth it! I had to order an extra side to make equal parts falafel and toum. Hubs had the chicken dinner with pita, hummus, rice and ordered a small sweet Michigan salad. The salad comes w a sweet cherry vingarette dressing. It was an excellent choice. Fresh greens, almond slices, cucumber slices and cherry tomatoes (minus the Gorgonzola). The chicken dinner comes on top of the pita, covered in the Brahma sauce. It was good but hard to eat the hummus w the pita as it's already covered w in sauce and meat. We'll know how to order next time. The caprese is different than the pesto caprese. Be clear when you order. If you don't want pita/naan, they have tortillas available too. Now for the cherry on top. Black cherry. The black cherry fountain soda. Oh yeah. Puck's naturally-flavored soda fountain. I've never heard of Puck's soda before but this fountain just might tip the scales for us when deciding when to go for dinner. Birch soda is like root beer but isn't completely appropriate to say root beer. Birch, cola, lemonade, black cherry, orange, and cream. They pack every order to go, or stay to eat in the small dining room. I hope they find alternative containers for dine in, as the containers have to be costly. They are very nice. Brahma Haus is super affordable for the quality. I hope they stick around.

Have you ever craved a gyro in hopes that what you actually receive is a tortilla filled with dry meat, potatoes, and sadness? Well, I've found your place. Brahma House has the ability to both disappoint and overcharge. If the flavorless, greasy food doesn't get you, the random auto decor sure will. The staff looks like they just crawled out of a college dorm and were preparing food in a clearly unsanitary environment. When it comes to the other reviews for this restaurant, I understand nothing. I will spend the rest of my life never coming here again.

Food was good. Staff acts like they don't want to be there. A bit pricey for the quality. Great place if you're hungry... that's about it.

I was addicted to their chicken shawarma wrap for a while, but the last time I went in, the worker was yelling into his phone loudly in a language I didn't know and barely looked at me as a came to the counter. I said my name and pointed to the sandwich and he nodded and went back to his phone call. I don't love that, probably take a little break but I will have to be back for the sandwich eventually. ;)

MY RATING SYSTEM 5/4 = Exceeds expectations = NO…read more3 = Meets expectations = YES 2/1 = Does not meet expectations = NO OVERALL POINTS RATING 0 - 5 1. AMBIANCE = 3 Environment is nice. Clean. They are located in a strip mall. All store fronts looks the same. Nothing sets the place apart from other businesses. 2. FOOD/DRIINKS = 3 Food was good. We have eaten here twice in last couple weeks. Food has been tasty. Chicken kabobs. Lamb chops. Shawarna. Chicken was dry and slightly burned. Hot rolls with garlic dip was very good. 3. SERVICE = 3 We have had great service attentive. Not overbearing. Only one person serving tables. Could be an issues with higher table loading. 4. BATHROOM = did not use 5. PRICING = 2 (This is my new norm for coding. Why? A place in a strip mall.) I am beginning to accept more and more that the inflation of the last 4 years has brought us the new norm of 30% higher eating out prices. But it starts to impact tipping. Tax and tips. So we carry cash and tip between 10 and 15%. The server gets money right than. The lamb chops for 3 and two sides $37.00. I had chicken kabobs for $22. Raw veggie was $6.99. If you have a smoothie it is $6.99. Stick with water. 6. OBSERVATION We have given the place two trys. But probably will not visit again. All things considered it is overpriced for a strip mall setting. Though they have a high traffic take out. In both on site visits we noted. The inside traffic has been at min 2 to 3 table groups. But each time was on a Tuesday. Like Mexican resteraunt this mid eastern offers thier own food group. If they just said mid eastern food you would know. When you decide to eat Mexican you know what they will offer. All taste the same. Nothing sets them apart from the other similiar places. 7. POINTS 11 points out of 25 points. 20 to 25 = Exceeds expectations. NO 10 to 19 = Meets expectations. YES 0 to 9 = Does not meet expections. NO

Kitchen is an open concept in the back right of the restaurant. Big bar in the middle and tables/booths throughout. Went with some friends, so we ordered a fair amount of food to try. We ordered the hummus with lamb, the crispy potatoes, falafel, and the mixed grill. Before getting into the food, quick shout out to our waitress. She was amazing. Very attentive without being too much. Walked us through the menu. Was patient with us. I would have gone back for that alone. The food rocked. The hummus with lamb was my friends' favorite. I thought it was very good. Ample serving as well. That goes for everything. No skimpy servings. Almost $20 for hummus with lamb seems a bit pricy but well worth it. The crispy potatoes were very good. The jalapeño added a little kick which opened up the sinuses. Would order again. The falafel was the best I've had. Perfectly fried. Very nice flavor. Could have just eaten those all night and been extremely happy. Finally, the mixed grill was great. It came with chicken, ribeye, kofta, some veggies, rice, and pita. My one complaint would be that the pita was so soggy when it came because it was under the meat and some sauces which was a little unfortunate. Still a good pita though. The chicken was good. Nothing mind blowing. Nice char. My friends really liked it, so different strokes I guess. The ribeye chunks were nice. Solid medium rare-medium cook on them. Solid marinade/seasoning. Not chewy or fatty which was a bonus cause you never know with steak. Finally, the star of the show which was the kofta. If I go back, I only need kofta as my main. I'm not a huge kofta guy but this might have converted me. Grilled to perfection. The lamb was not too overpowering which can sometimes be the case. Very good portion as well (2 big pieces). Rice and veggies were standard. Nothing special; by no means bad. Highly recommend. Can't go wrong here. Curious how similar it is to Phoenicia in Bham (need to try that). 5 big stars.

We shared each appetizer and entree. I'll add pictures to show the yumminess. And the warm most hand towels after the meal add a great final touch. Possibly the only downside is it was crowded downtown and valet was $20 as a result. But besides that, I highly recommend!!

My first time here, wonderful food and super nice people running the place. You can definitely feel the family vibe here - it's very warm and welcoming. Cozy place in a shopping center with easy parking. I had the chicken lemon rice soup and a supreme bowl with gyro meat and a bunch of wonderful toppings! You decide whether you want a pita or a bowl, then you pick your protein, toppings and sauces, and any sides that you might like. If you still have room after your main course you can select from a number of delicious desserts. Everything is really super flavorful which I really appreciated. I can assure you the next time I'm in the area I will definitely stop here again. I recommend you give this place a try - I think you'll be very happy.

The Mediterranean Latte is my usual go-to, sweetened with honey (they offer other sugar substitutes as well!). It's like a warm hug. They always have several excellent seasonal flavors as well, so we try those every time. This winter, the Peppermint Mocha and the Cinnamon Latte are delightful. Everyone who works here is so friendly and helpful. They remember us even tho we are only here twice a year, and I find that very sweet. We have had their bowls as well, all of which were good quality. There are lots of protein, topping, and sauce choices. They have grab n go desserts and some side dish items in the cooler with the sodas (they have Coke *and* Pepsi products). This location is clean, bright and warm with a clean restroom (for customers only) and some outdoor tables to enjoy in the warmer months. We have been and will be back many many more times to come!
