Instead of owning up to the obvious problem, and apologizing and offering to fix, he wanted me to prove that he had broke the window and frame. Also, left a bathtub full, took apart a faucet and did not reassemble correctly. I went to u tube to learn how to put it back correctly. He also turned oven on and left It at 500 degrees and left my cookware that I stored in my oven in it, essentially burning the finish off. Asked for his bond card, he stated he is not bonded!, he also did not have an insurance policy on him, either.

We immediately had some issues that arose with faulty pipes and insulation with the cold in Chicago. He came back out to the house, at no charge to us, to help us identify the issues. With his help and the use of infra red we were able to see where insulation was not installed properly causing pipes to freeze. Thanks to him we knew what we needed to do without having multiple contractors in our housing trying to figure out what was wrong. More importantly, he stood behind the work that he did and made sure to help us as best he could. Thankfully he also had great recommendations for us for contractors as well.

The positives I will say is that Russ was very responsive from the moment we inquired about him and set things up and communicating with him. He'll even show up on time unlike most people nowadays. Russ did his job fine but me and my wife on site felt like he was not checking out other things that we noticed that were worth noting, picturing or documented so I could have a way to possibly get the owner to fix it before I purchase. All in all, Russ is friendly , his prices are fair and you'll learn a great thing or two from him personally which are great but just be vigilant to find and point out your issues and ask questions to make sure it can be documented.

From the start, the client care coordinators were super helpful and courteous; I called back several times with extra questions, and they never made me feel like a bother. The company also has excellent communication, including sending helpful text reminders leading up to the appointment. Mitchel arrived early and had already begun examining the exterior of the home before I arrived. He was exceptionally professional and thorough, which gave me total peace of mind for a home built in the 1940s. At the same time, Mitchel was very personable and told me the truth about what he found, providing a level of honesty that is hard to find. He basically saved me from making a major mistake. I am so very appreciative. I especially appreciated White Glove's flexibility regarding add-on services. I had initially paid for radon testing and a sewer scope, but since the general inspection revealed significant issues, I decided not to move forward with them. Even though I'd paid in advance, one of the client care coordinators contacted me that same day to proactively process a refund for those services. I highly recommend Mitchel and the White Glove team for a smooth process and a reliable inspection!

But yesterday evening before cancelling they clearly mentioned that there won't be a cancellation fee but today morning they came back stating a cancellation fee of 225$ will be charged but they did agree to refund 850$-225$=$625.0.They said they changed their mind because we cancelled twice. The only way we can get the full refund of 850$ is if the cancelled appointment spot gets refilled or taken by another inspection appointment. We called back in few minutes to let them know that they can go ahead with the appointment as scheduled as we did not want to be charged 225$ and they came back stating the slot is taken by another appointment. We then asked could we get a credit for the cancellation fee of 225$ if we schedule on another day possibly day after tomorrow. They came back later stating no they still need the 225$ cancellation fee. This company goes back on forth on what they say over the Phone. They first said they needed the cancellation fee only if appointment slot is not taken and now that it is taken they still need the cancellation fee even if we reschedule to another date. Now we are forced to find another inspection as it appears white glove don't want to work with us anymore which is why they are doing this. But they do a good job on inspection finding minute details.Henceforth they are in demand because of their work and skill. It could have been better had they waived the cancellation fee of 225$ since we are a returning customer and we will anyways reschedule for future date.
