It doesn't look like much from the outside, but once inside, I instantly felt more relaxed. The ambiance is spot on, from the decor to the perfect aromas. My masseuse, Bridgette, was very professional and AMAZING! She was gentle, yet effective and always made sure I was comfortable as well as communicated with me on any problem areas. I've even been to Thailand and this massage far surpassed anything I ever got there. I walked out feeling relaxed, stress-free, and smelling great! But I found somebody I liked and I'd set up appointments with her for a few more visits. Or so I thought. Because I showed up yesterday on time and my person was half way through giving a massage to somebody and it would be 20+ minutes to wait. Or I could go with this other person who isn't very good. Pretty clearly the intent was to bait and switch me away from the popular person to somebody else. And really, who needs it. It's way too expensive to roll the dice and hope you get somebody good. Honestly at this point I think the main reason I got the person I wanted previously was that I just got lucky because they're normally not busy. Which should have been a hint as well.

For about a year, people around town were talking about this massage place that was never open;…read moreapparently they had issues with permits, and some other legal hurdles, but they're open!!! Apparently they've been open for a while now, I just didn't know. I was in so much pain last night, and didn't want to go to the food reflexology place because frankly; they can increase pain; as they aren't really massage therapists - so I called Oasis. It was 8 p.m., and I saw that this place was open until 10 p.m. One four minute phone call, and I was booked!! Upon entering, I heard a woman yell out a name, three times, and a woman appeared from down the hall, very sweet. I mentioned that I'd called and needed an hour of body work. She said "You pay credit card or cash now," that was a bit off putting, but I was in a LOT of pain. I paid cash, fifty bucks for an hour "massage" and she said "come on," pointed to a room, and said "I bring change" so, I was waiting, and waiting, and realized maybe this is where I'm getting massaged. There was a table, and some oil, lotion and alcohol, so, I undressed and got on the table, about ten minutes later, a woman came in, and put the change on the "dresser" where the oil, lotion and alcohol were. When I asked her name she said "Ashley," oddly enough, the license outside for the massage therapist did not have the name of Ashley, so I asked if she was the massage therapist, she said "yes" and removed the blanket, and placed a towel over my body, and started PUSHING on my back, and shoulders. Ten minutes (at least) went by, and I asked if she was going to be massaging the areas I'd discussed on the phone, upper back, neck, shoulders and clavicle, pectoral area, and she removed the towel, got the oil and started massaging my back. Very deep, but kind of all over the place with the massage, she focused on the areas I spoke of, worked about a minute on each leg, didn't touch my hands or my feet. Now, I know, this sounds awful, right? NOPE - not really, just not what I like in a massage (normally), but I left there like a pile of mashed potatoes and gravy!! I had very little pain, and felt so much better. I didn't write a review last night because by the time I got home, it took all I had left to brush my teeth and get in to my bed!!! I rarely sleep past 4 a.m., I slept until 7:15 a.m., that's how great this massage was; although it was a lot different than what I'm used to; I'll be back. The next time, I'll ask for an hour foot massage, and ONLY feet, because she's strong, and I know that for me, a food massage tends to release a lot of tension and pain in my body. Don't let the exterior fool you, this place is good, for fifty bucks plus a tip, there's no excuse not to get a massage now and then.

When I say healer, you say Steph! Healer! Steph! Healer! Steph!…read more This lovely lady is one of the most genuine, kind, and compassionate care providers I've had the privilege of meeting. She's a very skilled and considerate massage therapist who takes time to learn about you as a person in addition to your aches and pains. I'm generally nervous when it comes to massages because in my experience, they've either been too gentle or too painful and almost always missed the mark in terms of targeting my problem areas. Steph is focused and quite accurate in pinpointing specific spots, and then applying the needed pressure and technique to undo the damage. For me, it has been more than simply alleviating pain or discomfort, Steph addresses places on my body that previous therapists overlooked and helps to remedy the issue long term. I trust her to always prioritize my health and well-being. She has never once pressured me to purchase any massage package or commit to any plan, so I always felt comfortable and in control of my decisions. I highly recommend Steph for reasons beyond her talent. With her services, I always feel respected and cared for both as an individual and a patient. I'm blessed to have this wonderful being as a part of my healing process.
