For about a year, people around town were talking about this massage place that was never open;…read moreapparently they had issues with permits, and some other legal hurdles, but they're open!!! Apparently they've been open for a while now, I just didn't know. I was in so much pain last night, and didn't want to go to the food reflexology place because frankly; they can increase pain; as they aren't really massage therapists - so I called Oasis. It was 8 p.m., and I saw that this place was open until 10 p.m. One four minute phone call, and I was booked!! Upon entering, I heard a woman yell out a name, three times, and a woman appeared from down the hall, very sweet. I mentioned that I'd called and needed an hour of body work. She said "You pay credit card or cash now," that was a bit off putting, but I was in a LOT of pain. I paid cash, fifty bucks for an hour "massage" and she said "come on," pointed to a room, and said "I bring change" so, I was waiting, and waiting, and realized maybe this is where I'm getting massaged. There was a table, and some oil, lotion and alcohol, so, I undressed and got on the table, about ten minutes later, a woman came in, and put the change on the "dresser" where the oil, lotion and alcohol were. When I asked her name she said "Ashley," oddly enough, the license outside for the massage therapist did not have the name of Ashley, so I asked if she was the massage therapist, she said "yes" and removed the blanket, and placed a towel over my body, and started PUSHING on my back, and shoulders. Ten minutes (at least) went by, and I asked if she was going to be massaging the areas I'd discussed on the phone, upper back, neck, shoulders and clavicle, pectoral area, and she removed the towel, got the oil and started massaging my back. Very deep, but kind of all over the place with the massage, she focused on the areas I spoke of, worked about a minute on each leg, didn't touch my hands or my feet. Now, I know, this sounds awful, right? NOPE - not really, just not what I like in a massage (normally), but I left there like a pile of mashed potatoes and gravy!! I had very little pain, and felt so much better. I didn't write a review last night because by the time I got home, it took all I had left to brush my teeth and get in to my bed!!! I rarely sleep past 4 a.m., I slept until 7:15 a.m., that's how great this massage was; although it was a lot different than what I'm used to; I'll be back. The next time, I'll ask for an hour foot massage, and ONLY feet, because she's strong, and I know that for me, a food massage tends to release a lot of tension and pain in my body. Don't let the exterior fool you, this place is good, for fifty bucks plus a tip, there's no excuse not to get a massage now and then.

I was in a bad car accident in 1997 and have had problems with my neck, shoulder and back ever since. Over the years I've seen dozens of chiropractors, massage therapists, PTs and body workers. I've tried rolfing, foam rollers, MELT method & yoga. You name it, I've probably tried. But it wasn't until I found Caralina that I've started to see real progress. Before giving me an adjustment she gives me about a 30+ minute deep tissue massage - where she actually digs (I mean that!) into the places I've only wished others would go, to reach the injured tissues that are causing my pain and need the most healing. Then after the adjustment she continues with the deep tissue work. This is a woman who knows what she's doing.... so if you need body work - OF ANY KIND - go see Caralina. I could not communicate well with my masseuse as she understood little English. I wanted a deep tissue massage. I got 2 hours of mostly elbows and forearms, sometimes on my spine - ouch! My hip is out, my ribs are out (after my osteopath just fixed them). I have had a good deep tissue massage before and this was not even close - lack of knowledge of how to work those muscles to get them to relax. Worse thing is the prices are what an experienced, skilled masseuse would charge. Then she hovered as I was putting my card in and mentioned tip several times. I felt pressured. I won't be back.
