Explained to Joe that he received a certain code which points to a problem with a sensor. Joe told him he may need either the sensor or a transmission flush which would cost about $200 tops. WE WERE FINE WITH EITHER ONE ....WE JUST WANTED IT FIXED. Mike told him to make an appt, bring the car in on Monday 10/26 at 3, so he took off early to do just that. Mind you, traveling from South City to North County ! Met up with this same person on Monday's appointment, he did a total 180!! He told him he would have to pay $80 (BTW in reading other reviews they seem to charge whatever they feel that day for diagnostic) for a diagnosis before he could perform any work, which he would take off the price of the repair. What he paid was his "opinion" of what the problem was without thorough investigation... nothing was removed,  he test drove, came back asking how long we had the car and that's when you know the bs is about to begin...so you guessed it, it went from a somewhat minor repair to him saying that we needed to have the transmission rebuilt and that it would cost about $2800!!! This was after he just said this on Friday: "the lady probably sold the car because she took it to a rip off place like AAMCO and they told her it would cost $3500,so she decided she would rather sell than put that money into it, but omg why'd she do that?? this is a really good car! you got a really good car for that price!! Blah blah blah. ?!" [paraphrase of his words] My husband also reminded him that just Friday he said he would recommend going the route of the flush and the replacement of the sensor; now he changed his whole story up after he got paid. Not to mention he was dealing with another unhappy customer who was there complaining about her work. Asked him to just put the sensor on to see if it fixes the problem like he had originally recommended then we could go from there if that was not the solution. He agreed but said to bring it back on Wednesday because, at 4pm on a Monday, the supplier he gets his parts from was closed. Why have me make an appointment 72+ hours in advance for a service then tell me to come back for that same service in 2 days? If he didn't have the part ready for the appointment, he had no intention of doing the work that he originally recommended, and that he already planned to go after the ripoff job. So then my husband asked if could just leave the car here and he could get to it when he said he could on Wednesday? He said no because he "had no room on his lot and wouldn't be responsible if something happened to it"? Happy to say we bought the part today and got the work done today by an honest human being. The problem was fixed and we paid the cost of a good meal to get it done!!! The car runs like new money! Still upset that someone like this was able to rip us off for absolutely no reason. This type of business practice has to be stopped and we want our money back! $80 is not a lot to most people but it is too much to give for free to a shady business!! I'm writing all this to say that I believe a lot of these good reviews are either fake, from friends and family, or were bought and paid for by them in exchange for some type of perk to the customers. I find it hard to believe that we were singled out to get ripped off by these people and everyone else had a magical experience! Need that money back!! The sad part is that what these jokers fail to realize is that an honest businessman will have the word spread about them just as quickly as a dishonest one! Treat people right and respect their hard earned money, especially in these troubling times we are dealing with (you never know what people are going through or had to go through to get to you), and you are guaranteed to have a customer for life who brings another customer who brings another customer! I guarantee they won't respond to this but I'm doing my part to caution you against doing business with someone who would stoop so low!!! Be wary of a company that solicits for reviews !

I declined repair (I suspected there was an upshift solenoid bad) and fixed the faulty solenoid in transmission myself for less than $50.00. I just made a 3000 mile trip with no issues. I would not deal with this group and would be suspect as some of the reviews here are by the owners themselves. Here is my reply to you accusing me of a lie. Not happy at all.Geared up transmissions broke my radiator when they worked on my truck the first…read moretime it was there for transmission work.They told me they cut the hose?My transmission and radiator are no where near each other.Kevin also told me they moved my exhaust when they had it.200 miles later,my exhaust which was in good shape is now rusting bad.The second time they had it,they put a whole in my radiator and told me it was already there.I had no fluid leak before that or I would have seen it under my truck.The transmission doesn't shift like a rebuilt one so I took it back to them for that and another issue with brakes that they were supposed to have fixed.They kept it for 8 days.When I called multiple times,none would answer the phone.I repeag,do not let them touch your car or truck.

I like supporting local business so I thought I would give them a shot. I made arrangements to drop the keys off after hours for an evaluation. I waited 3 days and didn't hear anything so I started calling them. Everyone that answered my call said that they couldn't help me but they would give my number to the owner. After six days I am very concerned and I leave work early to run down to the shop. I had to wait 45 minuets till the owner got there because no one else would tell me about my car. When he arrives he tells me my car is ready. No diagnostic breakdown, no price quote, no call. When I inquire why he didn't contact me before they repaired my car he tells me "Honey, if you didn't want your transmission fixed then why did you bring it into a transmission shop?" As fate would have it 15 months later the transmission is shot again and they only warranty for 12. Ladies, if you do decide to patronize this shop, heed my warning and send your husbands, boyfriends or fathers. Perhaps then you might get taken seriously by these guys.
