The staff seem very intelligent and know about collectors items. I have brought a medal from here. They only buy things that have proof of a time for example a stamp inside the product. They sell jewellery, badges, medals in one cabinet. They have a large cabinet full of ornaments. This store is popular for ornaments. I feel the prices are what you would expect. For the purchase I made I did try and get a lower price but as it is rare and they have set prices I didn't get a discount. Recommended for collectors items.

It can, however, get very busy at times and stock can run out. The staff though are very helpful in ordering and helping you find stock in other shops. There is a great selection of toys which are reasonably priced so it can be quite handy for buying a treat present if your child has been good - bribery works wonders at times!!

Located in the bullring is why I think the stock is low but sometimes when I have seen something I go back and its not on the shelf anymore. I adore unique shops that are bursting with character and have a story to tell... and this shop certainly is all that, having been in Blakenhall for over 50 years. The owners told me that back in the day there were 14 sewing machine shops in Wolverhampton alone, now they're the only one for miles. The Brewers are lovely and so knowledgeable! I wanted a sewing machine as I've started customising my clothes (it's cheaper than making them from scratch!)... what they don't know about sewing machines isn't worth knowing!! I was under the illusion that sewing machines just stitch in a straight line, but apparently most of them nowadays are electronic and you can download graphics then just programme it to sew something arty! The shop's also packed with all sorts of useful bits 'n pieces, like thread, needles and scissors, so is perfect for art/textiles students and people who sew as a hobby.

They sell the usual sweets and chocolates. Nespapers and a small sleection of magazines. You wont find half of them here so you would need to go to whsmith for more specialist ones. Although they have a small selection of magazines it doesnt really do them much harm. They also have quite friendly staff too which is always a good thing in smaller shops like this one. As there are many larger shops to compete against. So a smile or chat does go a long way! They also sell ice cream , which as you can imagine sells in the hundreds in the summer. The shop also sells scale model cars too. One window is full of them. A great place to have a papershop at the top of the town where there are no others. 4 stars verdict on this great little shop.

I was surprised and impressed when last weekend I used one of the vouchers on some childrens books which were already on the offer of buy one get one half price. They came to £12 and I asked about the voucher and the woman informed me that was not a problem so I got a further £5 off the total, thus only paying for one and a half books and getting 4! The staff are friendly and helpful. The store sells books and magazines at the front of the store, further back childrens books and stationery as well as music and dvds.
