No one had battery cables so I had to call my daughter to bring her portable charger. By this time it was snowing heavily, but the two techs stood in the freezing cold and continued to work with the car until they got it started, which was well over 30 minutes. I took my vehicle, a 2017 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, to this repair shop for an oil change. According to…read moreToyota's official maintenance schedule, this vehicle requires an oil change every 10,000 miles when using 0W-20 full synthetic oil. However, the shop performed and charged for two oil changes within an interval of approximately 5,000 miles. I was not informed that the second oil change was unnecessary based on the manufacturer's recommendations, nor was I given a technical explanation justifying an early oil change. At no point was I advised that the service was redundant or optional. Had I been properly informed, I would not have authorized the second oil change. I attempted to contact the shop by phone and left a voicemail requesting clarification, but I did not receive a response. I believe this reflects a lack of transparency and failure to obtain informed consent for an unnecessary service. If you can't trust this shop with an oil change, image any other service.
