Absolutely best gas station I've ever been to. When people picture a gas station, they think…read more"messy, unkempt, a place you shop at when you're desperate or in a rush". Not this gas station. First, the young lady at the counter was skillfully taking care of three customers at a time. She was very meticulous in her precision of making sales and giving change. I only stopped to ask for a bathroom, but I ended up stocking up on road trip supplies just because the place was so neat, clean, and service was incredible. When I asked about a bathroom, I expected the answer I normally get, "we don't have one" (which is always a lie) or "it's for employees only". I was ready to argue that if I couldn't use a bathroom now, I'd just do my business on the side of the building. The clerk was so polite and explained it was outside. This is where I think "an outside bathroom? No key needed? This is the imperfection of this nice little store". SO WRONG! The bathroom was the nicest bathroom I've ever been in, not just by gas station standards, but by hote standards. The bathroom was the cleanest one I've ever used. The toilet was sparkling clean, no pee on the bowl, the sink and toilet looked like they just installed it. No graffiti or writing, the sink was dry, no soap strewn about carelessly, and toilet paper was actually in the toilet paper holder (and it was full!). The most incredible part, there a nice heat blower right at toilet seat level, so the toilet seat was so warm and I was getting just the right amount of fan power blowing all over me. Then I got to wash my hands, and there's soap IN THE SOAP dispenser. I turn on the cold tap out of reflex and I was pleasantly surprised that the water was the perfect temperature; not scolding hot, not freezing finger cold. Since I travel upstate a lot, I will exclusively use this gas station for all my travel needs.

I am so appalled by the way I was treated when I attempted to buy gas at your Full Service Gulf gas…read morestation located at 212 Tarrytown Road, White Plains, NY 10607. I drove up to the gas station on 11/9/20, at approximately 9:30pm, which was yesterday evening. I was driving my father's car, which is a 2015 Infiniti Q50. This is the 1st time that I ever had to fill his gas tank because I normally drive my own car, which is a 2005 Toyota Corolla. When the gas attendant approached the car, I realized that I did not know where the latch was to open the gas tank door. The attendant said to unlock my door. I turned the car, unlocked the door, and even opened the door thinking that the latch was on the floor to the left of the driver's seat, similarly to my car. I looked around on the dashboard, driver's side door, and floor, but did not see a latch or button. I apologized to the attendant and tried to explain that this was my 1st time filling up this car's gas tank. I then looked in the vehicle manual. When I was searching, the attendant returned inside his office. After reading the manual, I realized that the gas tank door is a push door and it will only open after the driver's side door is unlocked, which would explain why the gas attendant told me to unlock the door. I beeped my horn a couple times to let the attendant know that I was ready and even got out of my car to wave at him to get his attention so that he could return to the car. Instead, he sat down on his chair. I walked into the office to let him know that I was ready and finally understood how to open the gas door only for the attendant to start yelling at me that I needed to leave and go somewhere else. I apologized again for the wait and tried to explain once more that this was the 1st time that I had to fill the gas tank and I became confused because the car is so much newer and a different brand. He yelled and chastised me and stated that he did not care whether it is my car, my father's car or a rental and that when you take a car, you ask the owner how to fill the gas tank. I told him that my father is dead and I never had to ask him about filling his tank before because I normally drive my own car. After this he says, "Your father died, you can die. I don't care. Get out of here. Go somewhere else." And he screamed this repeatedly. Now I'm even more flustered because I cannot believe that someone would speak so ill of the dead, say that I could also die, and refuse to help me. I told him that is a terrible thing to say to someone who needs help and I am standing in front of him asking for his help. He still refused to help me and yelled for me to leave. As I was walking out of his office, an SUV pulled up. In my frustration as I walked by, I stated that the attendant refused to service me because he had to wait for me to figure out how to open the gas tank and that he was chastising me when the owner could not help me since he is in fact dead. The woman was in the process of handing the attendant her card for him to fill her tank and I could not hear if she said anything because I continued to walk toward my car, but all of a sudden, he then yelled at her that she could also leave and get gas from somewhere else. So I say that this is ridiculous that he is turning down money from 2 customers. By this time, I reached my car and I drove off to another Gulf located at 274 Hamilton Avenue, White Plains, NY 10601. This gas station is self service. I ended up filling up the gas tank myself and driving home. I am so disgusted by the behavior of your gas attendant. Being a gas attendant is a position in customer service. Even if he were having a bad day, there was no excuse to explain speaking to me in that manner and refusing to service me. I am a physician so I am also in a service field. No matter how frustrated I have been, I have never treated a patient in that manner. I have also never seen a fellow coworker treat a patient so poorly. In this climate of increasing diversity and inclusion, I not only felt disrespected, but I also felt disregarded and unfairly dismissed. I cannot even say that he gave me piss poor service because he refused to even service me. And it was even more disturbing to see that he refused to service the other driver, who also happened to be another Black woman. To turn down money from 2 Black women and to yell at me in such a manner makes me believe this encounter was racially motivated. GulfOil's mission statement states that you are "flexible, reliable, and responsive," and that Gulf ensures that "our customers through our ability to add value to them - remain our priority." Your mission statement also states that Gulf "provide the highest quality products and services to our clients by constantly focusing on our three core values, Quality, Endurance, and Passion." This gas attendant did none of those things. He was completely inflexible and disgustingly responsive. I did not experience any of the core values.
