MaryJane O.

Visited this station after my son's dental appointment to pump gas. I noticed they had a car wash and paid for the $11 service along with my gas. The pump did not print out a receipt (so no car wash code to wash my car.) I drove around to speak to the attendant (older unsmiling African man in a knit cap) in the kiosk. He asked me which pump--I told him it was one of the pumps ahead but could not remember the specific one. He asked me which card I used to pay for it--I showed him the card and told him my gas cost forty-something dollars. He printed a couple receipts and said they did not show the transaction and questioned if I had really pumped the gas. He was shouting at me in front of other customers--even though this situation would have been prevented by him refilling the receipt paper at the pump. I told him I was going to call my credit card company. As I was doing so he threatened to call the Prince George's County police--I told him to go for it. When the police officer arrived I explained the situation--when the attendant saw this he beckoned to the officer to come into the attendant's cubicle (I guess so he could explain his side of the story without me hearing.) The police officer came out of the cubicle and (now joined by a second police officer) said ma'am I am going to take care of you--whipped out his credit card and told the attendant to charge an $11 car wash service to his card. The police officer gave me the receipt and told me to have an awesome day. I told him that's why my son loves police officers--they ROCK! I drove around to do the drive through car wash and both me and my son was tickled pink to hear the distinctive voice of the outgoing principal of Vansville Elementary School reading out the car wash selections after we entered our car washcode!

Royal Farms - Four Piece Dark Chicken with Potato wedges

I visit this Royal Farm once a month to utilize my Door Dash credit with pick up option to reduce…read morefees. I find the day of the week you visit makes a difference. Friday nights seem to be the young kids hangout spot. There are cars and kids everywhere; even blocking the gas pumps. I usually get the four piece dark chicken; and sometimes add the soft pretzel if it's not too late (low carbs at night). The chicken was seasoned well and had the right amount of crunch. The potato wedge was a bit soft. I put it in my air fryer for 10 minutes to make it crispy. The workers at the hot bar are awesome. If there is an issue, they'll let you know. They have allowed substitution when they were out of what I ordered. The inside of the store is kept neat. I also want to highlight that Royal Farms has the lowest gas in the area. I was surprised to discover that their gas was 20 cent per gallon less than other nearby gas stations. I will now plan my monthly visit to include my tank fill up too.

After bringing home an order of wings this morning, I discovered a very long strand of hair that appeared to have been fried into one of the wings. I promptly contacted the store and spoke with the manager. He offered a sincere apology and assured me that the matter would be appropriately addressed, including reinforcing food-preparation and handling standards with the staff. Although I appreciate his professionalism and willingness to resolve the issue, finding hair in prepared food is unacceptable and completely ruined my meal. Because of this experience, I must say this has ruined my experience, moving forward.

However, the 2nd W is from 7/4/25 as a recent experience, I want to review too. Been to this Wawa several times since living in Russett the past 5 years. I used to go to Wawa at a former company I was with in Halethorpe as it was super close to my office, and the sandwiches were delicious. Like Halethorpe, the sandwiches called "Hoagies" are delicious. You order on the screen and can customize your hoagie how you want and add whatever other items. I've gone in there for just a customized iced coffee drink, which are delicious too, with seasonal flavors like peppermint & pumpkin spice. As I'm writing this review in July, I could really go for some Christmas in July with peppermint! Staff is relatively efficient & cordial. There's been a couple of times it took a while, but that was more that I was going at a peak time. My girlfriend & I went here one time on Saturday, August 3, 2024 before a movie. We both enjoyed our sandwiches. My biggest issue with Wawa is that there is no seating, and that's what makes me often not choose Wawa. We didn't mind the heat wave and were willing to eat outside, but there's no comfortable area to sit on the ground. So, we dealt with eating in the car like animals potentially making a mess in the car (at least with the AC running, but wasting gas). In spite of a couple of negatives, overall a positive experience and will return as it's sometimes a convenient & delicious option.

I found a dirty "burgers must be used by 8/16/25" label/sticker in my tuna hoagie…read more. Wondering why and how it got into my actual sandwich. I vomited.
