Went in to use the restroom and was told to purchase something since I used it. There was no sign…read morestating that the restroom was for customers only. He guy behind the counter started to rant about being a mom and pop store and how would I feel if someone came to my house just to use the bathroom. His language became quite vulgar yet I still purchased something because I felt bad. If I had seen a sign before I used the restroom I would have known there was an expectation to purchase something and I would have done so without question. But to snap at a person and tell them that they should "know" that they have to purchase an item is just not good business. If he had been nice about it and told me that on my next visit it would be nice if I would purchase something and explain his case nicely I would except that. I asked him what would he expect if I had to use the bathroom and I had no money. He said that I should just go home and not stop. If you don't believe this post I highly encourage you to stop in and give it a try. The guy was in his mid 30's and there was a white car parked on the side of the building.

I stop here…read morefairly often as it's close to my work, and I'll get a coffee or tea, or for when I'm feeling crappy during work, cough drops and ibuprofen. It's also connected to a McDonalds so that's convenient. Like Kwik Trips, the employees are dressed in the same uniform which adds to their professionalism and feels less creepy. That staff are pretty friendly for such short interactions.
