It's pretty well known that Wawa only recently entered the Indiana market. What started as a New Jersey iron foundry in 1803, became a dairy processing plant in 1902, and then opened as a food market in 1964, is now a 750-strong chain of convenience stores with a strong presence in six states and a growing presence in others (including Indiana). Why is Wawa beloved? friendly employees. One-stop shopping for gas, coffee, and food. While this was really within the first 24 hours of being open, it was noticeably clean and I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was. Wawa offers fuel and EV charging. Wawa has a stunning amount of coffee options and I definitely tried their refreshers/rechargers. Dragon Burst is an absolute winner. Wawa has breakfast, lunch, and dinner options and the menu is surprisingly comprehensive. You can get a biscuit sandwich starting at $2.49 - lower than a ton of fast food joints (I'm looking at you, Hardee's). While gas stations/convenience stores are often known for their unhealthy foods, Wawa has quite a few healthy options. There's also a lot of baked goods - donuts, brownies, muffins, and even soft pretzels. I tried the donuts. Yum. I was pleased with accessibility features. I also noticed an accessibility statement on their website that I found pleasing. This was a first visit and it was unexpected. So, no photos. I was rushing to a conference and primarily looking for a snack and directions. I received both from friendly employees in a warm, winning, clean, and welcoming atmosphere. I don't go to Plainfield a ton, however, there's no doubt I'd stop back here when I'm in the area. This location features tons of gas pumps just like a typical wally's. I feel like the beer arcade is a little bit misleading. I was expecting like a retro arcade themed and larger liquor selection than what it was presented. The parking lot is very clean and I do think it's off-putting that they put the car in the middle of the parking lot instead of it being overlooked by the highway. When you walk into the store it's pretty empty and Hollow upon walking in that compared to other Wally stores. Prices are very fair to be honest and better than their competitors with some of their hot food items. Smaller merchandise store, they do not sell desserts here at all unlike their Pontiac store but everything else is still here that you would come to expect at a Wally's.

When you enter the building, if you veer to the left, you will see where you can place your order. If you go to the right, you will find a small dining area with booths. Being that it is located in a gas station, there are an adequate amount of spots to park. The place does not have a grill, fryer or stove. All their food is refrigerated and/or microwaved. They serve items such as burgers, pizzas, pretzels, salads, subs, phillys, wraps and tacos. They also serve breakfast sandwiches. All the drinks that a usual gas station has are at your disposal to choose from. The pizza looked like it was self serve, as I saw a customer get her own slices and take it to the front register. I ordered one of their famous gyros. The meat is pre cut, pulled out of the fridge and nuked for a few minutes. The pita is swallowed up by the meat. There is so much meat. It could make 2 or 3 gyros out of it. I had to eat the meat down to get to the pita. The gyro was warm, but you could tell that it was not fresh and was reheated. It was flavorful though and really filled me up. I had it for lunch and ended up skipping dinner. I also had some of their potato salad, which they got out of a big container in their refrigerator. It was ok, nothing special though. To top my meal off, I got one of the large chocolate chip peanut butter cookies that were starring me in the face when I was ordering. It looked a whole lot better than it tasted. I definitely would not get one of those again. Even though there was a small dining area available. It did not seem very cozy and still felt like you were eating in. a gas station, so, I decided to take my food to go. The staff there were friendly enough and very welcoming.
