Sunoco off of Ladson road is in a very safe area of town. Moreover it's extremely easy to get in and out of in a relatively fast manner. Inside is wide open and relatively clean. While I didn't go through all the isles, it's better than some gas stations where you feel a bit antsy. The shelves are stocked with plenty of snack selections. Also for those who are "Mt Dew" nutcases like me, they have the exclusive Infinite Swirl in their fountain machine. Trust me - get it, it's awesome As for the employees the clerk was pretty nice and fast. I didn't inspect the bathrooms so nothing there to report. Also, I can't speak on gas b/c I didn't fill up. That means I'm not sure about pump speed, if they have window washing units or an air tank. But if you're just needing to stop on in, there should be no issues.

Outside there's no loitering people so one can feel safe while outside of the vehicle. Inside it's the cleanest station around. The floors are routinely cleaned while the air ducts are free of dust and debris (yes I pay attention to that). Next the fountain machines appear to be clean as well with a nice variety of soft drinks. The shelves are always stocked full with snacks and munchies along with drinks in the fridges. The best part is there's always at least two cashiers and their fast. Moreover the card readers are fairly new so they speed up the process as well if you're inside. The people are extremely friendly too! Again, if you need to hit a gas station for any reason, this is the one to hit. They're clean, fast and safe so you'll be in and out before you know it!

I know maybe I should've stayed with my car I just ran into grab a soda. And since I have NEVER had a pumps safety feature of stopping when it's full not work I assumed getting a soda was no cause for alarm. Lesson learned. Why I'm upset is the "manager" here was completely rude to me. First she avoided me for about 5 minutes walking around the store doing small tasks when i kept waiting for her. She didn't even go out to put a bag over the pump while I was there to stop others from using it! Huge safety hazard considering there is about 7 gallons of gas sitting on the ground! When I finally asked her (i'm very calm at this point mind you) what they could do about this since it malfunctioned and I was still charged she said "oh there's no way you're getting your money back" and then whispered to the girl behind her that the pump was working fine before. After that I'll admit I was not the most pleasant. She was unbelievable and left me walking to my car in tears. A nice stranger helped push my car out of all the gas so nothing would catch on fire! Inside the store, you'll find a good selection of fountain sodas, coffee, pastries, grab-and-go items (including some healthy selections), and a fresh made sub sandwich bar with breakfast sandwiches in the morning. Prices are in line with most other convenience stores, and while you do pay for the convenience of pre-packaged items, the sub sandwiches are a great deal at that price point. If you're looking for a clean, safe gas station on your way into Mt. Pleasant or before you leave the Charleston area (on Hwy. 17 north), this is a great option.

Then I realized how awesome the Sunoco by me is, and decided to write about it! Starting with the gas station area, they offer 20 pumps, so very rarely you will find a line here. The one problem is that the garbage cans are full most of the time which causes people to simply throw garbage on the ground. Gas quality and prices are great and normally cheaper than shell across the street. The convenience store is great! Made to order sandwiches and their breakfast is amazing! Remember, I am comparing this to other gas station stores, so please don't get me wrong. Great selection of drinks and coffee, and many options for snacks as well. Pros: quality gas, with great gas prices. Convenience store is a 5 star when compared to other gas stations! Great variety of breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Cons: pump area can be dirty at times with garbage overflowing.
