I've had inspections and oil changes here that were fine but my recent experience ensures I won't even go back to them for that. My car was making a terrible grinding noise that seemed to be coming from the front, right side of my car. I took it in, explained the noise I was hearing, asked them to check it out. Elias called me later that morning and said my rear brakes were terrible and I needed new rotors and brake pads and a couple of other minor adjustments. It would cost $437. I asked why it would be my rear brakes making the noise in the front of my car. He said it was the only thing he could see, there was nothing else wrong so it must be that. I approved the work to get rid of the noise. I call back later in the day to check on the progress. He said he finished my rear brakes. I asked if the noise went away, he said no and said I may need new front rotors in a few months but nothing to worry about. I obviously argued because I brought it in to address the terrible noise. He said he didn't care about the noise because now my back brakes were safe...WHAT?! I went to pick up my car shortly after. Conveniently Elias was not there. THe gas station attendant trying to help me was clearly afraid of him as he kept saying he would get in trouble if he called him. I was promised I would be shown the old, worn parts that had to be replaced. I was not. Attendant then called Elias and I spoke with him. He told me it was a problem with my front rotors and bearing and that he would give me a deal to fix it. I said absolutely not. I left a note explaining that I would be contacting my attorney and that's exactly what I did. THey will be hearing more from me. They are either sleazy or incompetent, either way, don't go here. read more

For 2 years I would travel out of my way to have my cars worked on by the mechanic here, the service was great and at more than resonable prices. For about 6 months I haven't needed anything done for car repairs. A few weeks ago I called and asked for the mechanic by name.. and a man with an accent answered claiming to be him, I knew something was wrong so I apoligized and hung up. I found out from a friend of mine the mechanic no longer works there! If the employees are pretending to be the mechanic who no longer works there... What a good place and bonus for being full service. Even with bad weather Tony and the team made quick repairs and did not go over estimate given. The bays were full I thought about it taking forever but only a little bit of a wait but not so bad at all. I have been to other garages and feel unsure if the repair recommending is even needed. I've brought my car here for minor repairs ( I had some plastic from the underside of my car scraping the tire ) and for oil changes, etc I started bringing my car here on the recommendation of a friend. On the plus side, the work done was fine and the prices are reasonable ( maybe even very reasonable, but I always do an independent shop for repairs ). The shop tends to be busy - you need to setup an appointment. My biggest gripe is that I don't really know who works there. I like to meet the mechanic and shake his hand and develop a relationship, and I haven't been able to do that. I think his name is Steve, and he seems nice and on the level but I've only ever got to speak to him on the phone. When I arrive at the station in person, there's usually a mix of people with varying degrees of mastery of the English language and the mechanic is nowhere to be found. So this can be a little frustrating. Still, I can't complain about the quality of the work. And the price is right. read more

Unnecessary work, excessively long delay in completing work, price was 50% higher than quoted. I brought in my 2004 Mazda to have the clutch replaced and to have the a/c looked at. The guy handling the repairs told me that it would be a 1-2 day job. Four weeks later, he still had the car and said he was waiting on the parts. (For what it's worth, the parts were in stock at the local AutoZone for half the price he was charging me.) Finally, he got the parts and told me on a Friday he was working on the repair, as we spoke. I told him I needed the car for a trip the following weekend. He assured me it would be done before then, which made sense given that he had a week to complete a 1-2 day job. Unfortunately, he didn't finish the job until the following Saturday, after I had to get another car for the trip. When he called to tell me the car was ready, the price was 50% more than he had quoted me. He said he had done hundreds of dollars of work on the A/C (without telling me it was necessary or asking if I wanted to put so much money into a 10-year old car) and had replaced the battery. I told him the battery was less than a year old. He said it was dead and that I should get my money back for it. When I asked him to give it back to me so I could take it back, he hemmed and hawed and said he would find it before I got to the store to pick up the car. When I arrived to pick up the car, the battery wasn't around, the repair guy wasn't around and the guy wanting to charge me said he didn't know anything about the battery and that I should talk to the repair guy, but he wouldn't tell me when the guy would be back in the office. The actual repair seems to have been well done. The clutch and air conditioner work. But I won't be back for any more "service" from this place. read more

This place is great! Every time I go there the service is awesome. I went in today for an inspection sticker. I knew there was a problem with the exhaust on my car as it was making a loud noise. The car is 17 years old and I didn't want to have to replace the entire exhaust system for it to pass inspection. Elias recommended replacing a piece of the pipe that was leaking. This saved me a lot of time, money and my car passed inspection. I am so pleased and appreciative of their honesty and help! read more

Stopped in for the first (and last) time earlier today for gas. I didn't pull all the way forward because the pump at the front was a green nozzle only, the one in the back had a green nozzle and a black nozzle. Any other gas station I have been to green means diesel... so I stopped at the pump in the back. There was no one else there (wonder why), so I figured no big deal. Big mistake as the guy working there got heated that I didn't pull forward. I tried to explain to him why and that made him even more angry. I then said "what's the big deal, there's no one else here", and he then pounded his chest and said "I'M here!". Lmao !! Not making this up! I then told him to stop my $30 gas order at $16. He said "next time you pull all the way forward." I told him there won't be a next time. He then tried to shove a receipt I didn't ask for in my face, I dropped it on the ground and drove off. This guy has ISSUES. I work in retail and I would never dare talk to a customer in that manner. Come on man, really? All I wanted was some gas lol. read more

Our car stalled at the light just past this station and would not restart. The owner & assistant helped push us out of traffic and off the road into their drive, checked our battery (which was OK), and suggested it might be the ignition cassette. Though they could have fixed it, our car restarted after cooling so we were able to drive home. They were very kind and pleasant and didn't mind letting us wait in their drive to let the car cool. read more

Service was extremely rude. Among the worst I have ever encountered. I made the mistake of buying gas there about two weeks ago, and I am still livid about the experience. I pulled in, and the attendant walked over to my car and just stares at me. No "can I help you", or even "what do you want". Just stared at me in silence. So I asked him to fill the tank with regular. I pulled out my credit card to hand to him but he just walked away after putting the nozzle from the gas pump in the car. After the gas stopped pumping, he took his time getting back over, finally took my credit card, took his time running the card, and came back, and just thrust the clipboard to me to sign the receipt, then grabbed in out of my hand after I signed, and walked away without thanking me for shopping there and putting up with his lousy service. During this entire transaction, the attendant did not utter ONE SINGLE WORD the entire time, just an angry stare. I will be purchasing fuel elsewhere from now on. read more

Whomever works in the shop Saturday mornings just lost an Arlington resident who not only has a clunker of a car that needs repairs frequently, but who also does her regular maintenance there, and stops for gas weekly on the way to work. Very convenient in that it's right on the way, but after handing my hard earned cash to a downright jerk, I'll be venturing elsewhere from now on - and to be honest, I'll probably end up saving money, too. IF they were knowledgeable and.or competitive with their prices, I'd be willing to overlook their attitude. However, since they have neither, I'm going elsewhere. read more

Hands down the best mechanic to go to in the area. Elias, the owner, is amazing. He is kind and completely trust worthy- which is hard to say about a mechanic. Whenever I've had to bring my car in for service, he's always made sure to care of me. He provides prompt and reasonably priced service. He is sure to go above and beyond each and every time, and I can't imagine going any where else. By the way, I've referred many family, friends and co-workers to BP, and they also couldn't agree more. This is the place to go!!! read more
