On arrival the repairman showed me the issue was part of the previous companies type of installation and product. He replaced the cables and springs quickly. The Unwin repairman also compared their heftier replacement cables and springs to the originals . There is a very discernible size difference when comparing them . The replacement was fast , he was courteous and price reasonable. And how to upkeep and lubricate them. I had a great experience and five years later there was no question who I would call when my 25-year old garage door was in need of repair. Doug's son, Dan, is now in charge and he is as good as his dad. Very knowledgeable without being pushy and takes the time to answer all my questions. When Dan came to my house, I had asked for a quote for a new garage door because my old one was falling apart. My thought was it didn't make sense to pay for repairs if I'd be paying again in a few months for a new garage door. I was so surprised at how reasonable the cost was for a new quality door with expert installation. I went ahead with the new door and the whole process from ordering to installation was pain free. The whole process took less than a week and I couldn't be happier. The door is great quality (better than my old door), well insulated and included weather stripping.
