I must have called and stopped by at least 15 body shops all over the Twin Cities before I found Bona Bros. Name a shop you've heard of, I went there and was told no. Body shops that work on rust are a dying breed! I get it-- rust is the cancer of the car. But we still treat cancer. The folks at Bona primarily work on specialty vehicles, like ambulances, delivery trucks, etc., where it is worth the money to do body repairs rather than totaling the whole vehicle. Al said he would take a look and send me an estimate. When he did, he gently suggested I should consider finding a new car, instead. But he also quoted out the whole job and said they were happy to do it if I wanted. I'm emotionally invested in the car, so it was worth the price. Al and his team did a fantastic job replacing the floorboards for me. He kept me in the loop with updates as they worked, and the final total came in under the initial quote. If you have a car with rust, this is the place to take it.

We handle insurance claims, fleet body work, and the oversized vehicles other shops turn away. Because we're part of the Bona Bros. integrated operation, a truck with both body damage and mechanical issues from the same incident gets repaired in one place: body work here, mechanical next door at our truck shop. I have NOT bought a Car since 2006 and was never the type to Keeping Up with the Jones. Anyways I notice when going to work early morning my Chevy Trailblazer (Who I named Old Faithful) was reving really hard. As I continued to drive it out to where I had to go the Check Engine light went on. I had this problem before which is an Engine Misfire. On one of the Sparkplugs and Cylinders. I had contact my relative and she sent me to Midas In Eden Prairie, MN. Boy DID I MAKE A BIG MISTAKE. Midas told me I had to replace a whole cylinder head!! IT was gonna cost me $6k!! That is like a good used car! On top of that they we're inspecting other parts of the car that was not necessary! Unfortunately, I had to pay $122 for the diagnostic but I by change had contacted on Craig's List another Mechanic who referred me to Erik. I had told Erick and he himself was shocked at my story! He new Midas was BS-ing and I went to him. My engine was still fine! I just needed new spark plugs which he believed Midas technicians damage by pulling it out the improper way and new great quality coils which I should have don vs buying from Ebay. All in All I only spent $400 and my engine was running great. Please come over here! He won't rip you off with Lies about the car! 5 stars in my book especially coming from Chicago, IL.
