A crew responded and cleared the line by plunging the outside clean-out. They were on site for about 30 minutes, and the visit cost $180. I appreciated their quick response and the referral to a restoration company, which arrived within three hours to begin cleanup. Unfortunately, last Thursday night--after a week-long restoration process--the same problem occurred. The next morning, Shrewsbury Plumbing & Heating returned. They snaked the main drain and restored flow. I asked whether there would be a charge since this was the same issue occurring so soon after their first visit, and I was told to call Stan on Monday when he returned from vacation. That visit cost $279. This Tuesday, yet again, we experienced a sewage backup. I called and spoke with Stan, who informed me that the company does not guarantee sewage backup repairs. I asked why a camera inspection wasn't done during the first or second visit, and he explained that they first attempt less involved methods. In hindsight, the initial response amounted to short-term fixes that did not identify the root cause--while generating additional service charges. On this third visit, the crew worked hard and ultimately used a camera to discover a stick lodged in the main drain, which they removed. This visit cost $444. I understand that not every issue is obvious on the first attempt. However, when I call a professional for a problem I cannot resolve myself, I expect that the goal is to fully diagnose and eliminate the cause--not to take incremental steps that allow the condition to recur. I am a career firefighter, and when someone's house is on fire, we take extra measures to prevent a rekindle. That is part of delivering competent and responsible service. Given the nature of a main sewer line blockage and the costs involved per visit, camera inspection should be a standard early step--not a last resort after multiple failures. My criticism is not aimed at the technicians who came to my home; Steve and Nate, in particular, were professional and worked hard. My concern is with management decisions and the lack of clear procedures that prioritize resolving the issue correctly the first time. If a camera had been used during the first visit, this issue could likely have been resolved immediately--saving significant time, stress, and expense. I am writing this review to encourage a more customer-focused approach moving forward. The rating associated with this review reflects management practices, not the field crews who responded.

Came back once I called and claimed it was there before he got there. He would know, right?

The rod for the control valve on our shower sheared off and I completely mangled the cartridge…read moretrying to remove it. After trying a few big plumbing businesses in the area (who couldn't fit me in for weeks) I tried Winstead. Jason answered my call after a few rings and was here within an hour. He managed to drill out the cartridge without damaging the housing and had it repaired and working in no time. I wouldn't have blamed him for being grumpy (really mangled) but he was very pleasant. I would definitely recommend him.

Consulted with Jacoby Plumbing, Adam (the owner) recommended a tankless system. His guys just left, took me from the old tank (left) to the new tankless (right). I was worried about lag between turning on the spigot and actually getting hot water, but heck, I think it's actually a little faster than my old system. The guys were nice, did a great job, in and out in just a couple hours. Took care of everything and hauled away the old clunker for me too. I was also super appreciative that Adam was willing to work with me, splitting the payment as I was a little short on the funds and payday is a week away. I bathed the last couple days with a bucket, so I'm *SUPER* super thankful for having hot water today not next week haha. Not to mention heating water on the stove to do the dishes was NOT fun either So yea, if you want to explore a tankless system, Jacoby Plumbing is a solid choice. You won't be dissatisfied!

Not good!!! Mitsubishi split system, two 36k units, 5 head units. 1 head unit wasn't blowing…read morecold. Asked Miller HVAC to check system pressure and recharge. I Agreed to let them clean the system while fixing the 1 head unit which wasn't blowing cold. Took the tech 3 hours to clean the units. He damaged one of the walls, didn't take the head units apart therefore, did not clean out the drains or drain pan, and most import, did not fix or even diagnose the head unit that wasn't blowing cold. They charged me $725 to clean the system... that's $240 per hour!!! What a rip-off. A week later they haven't responded to my request for partial refund and damaged wall. Desperate, the same day I called another HVAC company. They came out 1 day later, determined that the system pressure was low, found a leaky connection, tightened, recharged, and system now works perfectly. Cost additional $500, but was so worth it. $725 to Miller HVAC was a waste. Please consider NOT doing business with them.
