The quality of the cabinets is very high and they look great! We used a pretty wide array of finishes, from glossy and matte Mirlux finishes to Cleaf wood-based panels in multiple varieties. Our project included bi-fold upper cabinets, appliance garages, a printer drawer, a charging drawer for a hair dryer, coffee center with pocket doors, and so on. They turned out great. There were some hiccups along the way that initially caused some frustration - these were limited to a few areas, but we felt the day to day impact of these was hard to just ignore. What really impressed me about owners David and Tammy (and the rest of the Woodenbridge team) was their openness to discuss our concerns in a very constructive and solution-focused manner. There was never any finger pointing or deflection - just a focus on what could be done to get things as right as possible. As a result, virtually all of our concerns were addressed through their willingness to listen, suggest possible resolutions, and implement what we mutually agreed would be the best way forward. This type of positive can-do attitude and sincere desire to reach the highest level of customer satisfaction is really rare these days. They also emphasize their lifetime warranty and willingness to come out and adjust things as things inevitably become misaligned and need tweaking. As a result you feel confidence that you have a long-term partner in keeping your cabinets performing in top shape for the long term. My "advice" in any extensive cabinet project is to take your time, double-check all the details, and over-communicate as needed to make sure everyone is on the same page. There are enough potential gotchas and options that it's best to align often to avoid potential misunderstandings. The bottom-line is that we're very pleased with how the cabinets in our project turned out, have a healthy respect and trust in Woodenbridge as a result of the process we went through together, and would be happy to use them again in a future project.

My coworker referred me to Woodface and told me they are his favorite vendor of all during his renovation and they are my favorite now. We looked all over the bay area for cabinet vendors but we failed to find one who could hit the right color and tone. (They were either too yellow or too brown for us) In my first visit to the Woodface office, George showed me a number of oil finish options and assured the they can match colors we wanted and offered me to tag along to the woodshop for the material purchase when I showed particular interest with the cuts. I was impressed already with how my coworker's kitchen turned out and after the meeting, I felt comfortable trusting Woodface with the biggest investment of the renovation. I'm extremely happy with the quality of materials they used, attention to details and solid craftmanship. They were able to fit the upper cabinets to the pitch of my vaulted ceiling. I hope the pictures do justice even though they are sitting on a bare subfloor right now. (I'll come back and update once the kitche is complete) George and the team are professional, very responsive and helpful. The whole months of initial comm, design and installation was a breeze. They were also very accommodating with delays and schedule changes from my part with construction delays. I love working with them and also ordered a custom L-shape bench for my breakfast nook. My wife and I just bought a new home and wanted to put glass in some of our upper cabinet doors to…read morecreate a china-cabinet look and feel. Thinking this would be a relatively simple job, we took the doors off and began calling around and dropping into different cabinet makers and woodshops in the Mountain View/Sunnyvale/Palo Alto area. Time after time, we were turned away by folks who said they couldn't cut the center panels out of our shaker-style doors because there are metal pins that hold the doors together which would damage their equipment. We found one cabinet maker down the road on San Antonio Rd. who said he could do it, but after dropping our doors off having been told it would take a couple days, we called several times over the next two weeks and he still hadn't done the job. Very frustrated, we picked up our doors (which had been scratched up from sitting in his shop for two weeks), thinking we'd either have to shell out some major $$$ to get completely custom doors made from scratch, or we'd have to just go back to the original style without glass. Then we stumbled into Johnny and San Antonio Cabinets. We'd been turned away by another cabinet maker literally a couple doors down from him, and we saw the San Antonio Cabinets sign next door. I brought the doors in on a Monday afternoon, Johnny looked at them for a minute, and said he could do the job, no problem. He said it might take him a couple days. I received a call from Johnny first thing the NEXT morning saying he'd completed the work and that we could pick the doors up. He said given that they're fully-finished doors he didn't want them to get damaged/scratched further sitting in his shop, which I really appreciated. I picked them up that Tuesday afternoon, and they looked great. Johnny charged us a very reasonable price. When I asked him if there had indeed been pins in the doors--the reason why everyone else had turned us away--he said there were, but that he'd done these types of cuts many times in the past with no problem, he just charged us a bit extra to sharpen his blade/bit again. Wasn't a big deal at all. Johnny really saved the day for us, and thanks to him, we'll have the glass cabinet doors we've wanted for a fraction of what it would have cost us to get custom made doors. Our job wasn't too small or insignificant for him, and we really appreciated it. He also pointed us to a great glass shop nearby that we used to put the actual glass itself in the doors. All in all, we'd highly recommend Johnny and San Antonio Cabinets for all your custom cabinetry needs.

In fact, I told Johnny, the owner, I would invent jobs for them just to have more of their work in our home. The first job was a floor to ceiling pantry unit. Johnny design was superb to make the maximum use of space and by the time they were done my wife thought it was the nicest room in our home. One of the doors was slightly warped, and they replaced it to fit perfectly. The drawers glide flawlessly. The quality of their materials and craftsmanship is first rate working with meticulous care from every detail of construction through the installation process. I felt all of their team took great pride in their work and were meticulous in their care in the installation. They were able to match the finish of our cabinets in the kitchen perfectly. They also repaired a broken sliding unit from our kitchen. The second job was a floor to ceiling utility room cabinet and crown molding for the utility room, which yielded similar results. Finally they built two bathroom cabinets and custom mirrors for our bathroom remodels. When our contractor fell through, they held the cabinets at no charge for almost a year and ended up recommending another contractor who worked next door to them, which turned out to be well worth the wait. We have been in our home for almost 40 years and have experienced the full range of contractors from the agony to the ecstasy, but Doug Schultz, owner of DJS construction, also ranks also at the top of my list.

We kicked off our discussion with Marko at Kerrock in late October 2021 to redo our kitchen countertops in Los Gatos. Marko helped me get my head around the material options (we went for engineered stone due to appearance, durability, size of slabs we could get, lack of maintenance). I went home and drew up our kitchen layout and measurements and sent it back for an estimate. The estimate came back a day later and was substantially higher than one other I had gotten, but I could tell that the Kerrock folks would be paying a lot more attention to detail and all their finish products looked really tight and precise (they've done some work on big projects for exacting customers like Apple's new HQ). We cook a lot and spend tons of time in our kitchen, so this was not something we wanted to take any gambles on. Our sink and faucet were not reusable, so I went through catalogs at Kerrock's office with Marko and picked out new ones that they ordered and brought on the day of the install. We green lit the project and 10 days later the Kerrock crew showed up to rip out our old countertops to take back to the shop to use as an exact template. At the same time as the removal they put down the foundational plywood for the new ones, and spent a lot of time precisely leveling the cabinet tops. Living without a sink or cooktop for two weeks was painful, but obviously it's just part of what you endure on kitchen projects like these. Exactly two weeks to the day after the rip-out they showed up to do the install, which took about five hours. The Kerrock guys cleaned up and went on their way leaving us with a completely new feel for our kitchen. It utterly transformed our space, and we could not be happier with the end result. From the edging to the seams to the leveling to the new plumbing, faucet and sink they installed...it was all on point, solid and gorgeous. Excellent craftsmanship. Again, they aren't the cheapest out there, but they deliver top quality results. Our project took about 3.5 weeks from the estimate approval to finished install, which is definitely faster than I expected. We're happy we went with the best and didn't mess with the rest. :)
