It was wrapped so I couldnt tell until we got home it didnt belong with my set. The chat team said was such a hassle to get this corrected, I had to explain the situation 3 different times. Bobs finally came & swapped the parts. The couch is comfy but what a miserable experience.

I also don't think they respect or value their employees, including demoting someone who recently lost a loved one and had to close the shop early and then punishing her for that. When it comes down to it I don't think they value, respect or protect their customers or employees when challenges arise. Mattress Firm is pretty selfish and uses thier customers and employees. They sent a technician who did graciously fix 3 of the 6 chairs, but for whatever reason, they left before working on the other 3. Ashley refuses to send a technician out to finish the work because we are now outside of the 1-year warranty, despite that we reported the original issue immediately after the set arrived, well within the 1-year warranty. I can't recommend Ashley Furniture given the lack of commitment to customer happiness and I personally do not plan to buy any further furniture there - practically speaking, as we are in the process of buying a new house, we will need furniture and so the cost of the loss of our business is quite a bit greater than sending a technician out to touch up 3 chairs.

If you're okay with some compromises for a good deal, then you might be just fine! I'd avoid sofas; they looked cheap and dilapidated already. Some items were actually broken, but appropriately priced (i.e. hardware broken off of dressers). While I learned quickly that I would never purchase a sectional at American Freight, there were a couple of redeeming qualities. I'd recommend consideration of coffee tables and other hard surface items. This should be a stop for people on a tight budget for sure. Staff were not pushy in the least, yet attentive enough should I have had a question. They were also playing in the parking lot, so be careful when pulling in.

The lady on the phone was too busy eating her food to actually give me an answer.. couldn't understand her while she was stuffing her face.

The salesman informed me in very rushed terms that everything was probably fine and there wasn't anything they could do from their end and to try back after another week. This is the 21st Century - at any other store this money would have been back in my account that evening. I can only assume that they screwed it up or are holding my money and hoping I'll forget while they earn interest on it. I filed a claim with my bank. Don't shop here. The sales people are nice enough until you buy something.
